Chapter 1: Royalty Reborn

I didn't have time to react, I was just floating in an endless white background. I could't feel or move any of my muscles, all I could see was white. I started to relax and close my eyes, 'This is Heaven then?' I thought to myself. Then, I heard a voice:

{Hello, Royalty!}

Quickly, I opened my eyes and looked around, trying to find the origin of this disembodied voice. "Who's there?" I asked, to which the voice replied.

{You have died.}

Immediately, my eyes went wide. "D-Dead?! What?!" I was overcome with so many emotions. Confusion, sadness, anger, etc.

{Do not fret, you shall be given a chance to live again!}

The voice spoke. I was still trying to wrap my head around the fact that I was deceased.

I was so spaced out that the voice seemed to be blurred and uninterpretable.

Might: 20

Toughness: 12

Will: 8

HP: 30

MP: 0

{Skills: Digging Lv. 1, Camouflage Lv. 3, Grip Lv. 2, and Venom Lv. 2}

Finally, I snapped out of my trance and had just realized that the voice had been speaking all this time. It also seemed as though it was the end of the conversation. "Uhh... Wait, could you explain that again?" I asked, but the voice continued talking.

{Species: Hatchling Giant Octopus; Enteroctopus Megalocyathus}

"I'm sorry, what?" I asked, confused.

{Now, go forth and forge your own path!}

The voice spoke, "Wait! What does that mean? Why were you talking about octopu-" I tried to speak, but quickly found that I was being engulfed in swirling water. Slowly, yet somehow, not painfully, I felt my body contort and shape itself into a new form. My arms had grown longer, and started to change into tentacles, along with my legs. Four more tentacles grew from the sides of my body, while my head had became engorged. I felt all of my organs moving to where my brain was, as my body had also formed into the now sack-like growth that carried all of my vital organs. "What's happening to me?" was the last few words I spoke, before my mouth transformed into a beak. The only thing that I didn't have, was color. Thankfully, I was clear as glass, and my organs couldn't be seen either. 'What was that?' I asked myself, inspecting my new surroundings. It was dark in this place I was in, there was only a light coming from somewhere. My new body had began to move on its own, mainly, my arms. I felt myself slowly, jostling myself forward, towards the light. 'Alright, guess we're going to Heaven, again!' I thought to myself, however, what awaited me was only more water. ''Alright...? So, we're in the ocean? That's nice. I wonder if there's some Angel Fish here" I continued to speak, noticing something similar to that of a snake, swimming towards me. 'Oh crap! Ohcrap, ohcrap, oh crap, ohcrap...' I frantically looked around for something to hide behind. The snake-like creature had swam past me instead and attacked something larger! It looked to be some sort of, other octopus! 'The hell?' I asked, watching the battle before me. The snake had a grip on its main body, however, the octopus used two of its tentacles to pry the snake off of its body, then bite it with its beak! There was a leak of red fluid into the water, before I realized that the octopus had killed the snake. '.....Where the hell am I?!' I screamed, scared and alone. How's a baby octopus supposed to survive out here?!
