Following McCree we both stood took off our weapons and climbed up onto the arena. 'Alright, lets hope all of that martial arts training with my martial arts instructors and Yang paid off'

We both approached a corner of the arena, which was just a large boxing arena, and prepared to fight. The thing with martial arts is that I am experienced in them but also not. I had martial arts instructors as Mason and Ruby had Yang, even then I still don't like fighting without my weapon because with it I at least have a chance.

One reason for that is because of many bad memories of fighting and losing in close quarters. For example Tyrian Callows, a true monster of fighting up close and personal. Everything about him was meant for that.

Even with Masons memories of the multiverse, I doubt many people could compete with him up close and personal. Sure a lot could because of overwhelming strength or techniques they have mastered, but in a pure skill based fight I think Tyrian would usually win. His weapon, combat, and even tail is just meant for up close fighting and ruining a persons day.

Being pulled from my random thoughts about Tyrian I heard Anna declare the rules.

"Alright, you can use any fighting tactic you want, just don't rough each other up too much. Am I understood?" Anna asked us.

I looked at her and nodded and McCree said "Yes Ma'am."

Anna then raised her hand and said "On the count of 3. 3, 2, 1, Start!" and dropped her hand.

"Come on love! You got this in the bag!" Lena was cheering me on as McCree straightened his hat.

"Alright kid, I am going give you the first hit, so give me all you got." McCree said arrogantly to me.

'Heh, he will regret that.' I thought as my mind blazed through memories of different martial arts moves. But the move that I can put the most power behind would be the one Yang taught me, where I would charge my semblance and become quite literally a human missile.

Deciding to use the human missile move that Yang taught me, I began to charge my semblance. The issue is with this technique is you need to make sure you hit the person, and traveling at high speeds makes that difficult. Luckily or unluckily McCree promised to let me get the first hit.

Rose petals drifting off of me, I watched as McCree get into a fighting stance. 'Too late.' I thought as I sped up towards McCree as I prepared a kick to his chest.

Traveling like a blur of red, I appeared in front of McCree and kicked him back.

(AN: This Is Sparta! I'm sorry I had to.)

"Gah!" McCree coughed out as he went tumbling backwards into the railing of the arena. Landing harshly on the railing he stood back up as he clutched his chest.

All the while this was happening memories of Mason learning martial arts helped influence my next decisions. Normally I would wait for them to get ready to fight again, but everything I was taught in martial arts was to make sure they don't get back up.

With my thoughts influenced I raced towards McCree preparing punch towards his head. McCree must have noticed I wasn't letting him off easy, as he quickly rolled out of the way of my attack.

McCree stood and punched me in my gut, sending me backwards. Taking a second to breathe, I saw him slowly walk towards me in a semi boxing stance.

'As if I would let you box me, lets do this!' I thought as I stood in a rough jujutsu stance.

I waited for him to approach me as I was hoping the memories of Mason would help win this fight. McCree took initiative as he ran towards me, planning to land a haymaker on my nose.

Ducking under his punch, I used his momentum and grabbed his fist. Using his momentum I flung him down onto the ground. Hearing the thud of his body hit the floor I quickly stood back and waited for him to get up to make sure he was okay.

'Oops? I didn't think it would be that effective....' I thought as I was hoping McCree didn't get too hurt. Luckily my hopes weren't far off as I saw McCree stand and laugh out a little bit.

"Heh so you know a little about fighting dontcha? Never would have thought you were that strong with how small you are." McCree said as he straightened his cowboy hat.

Responding to him I scratched my head and said "Well a lot of people often forget that about me."

McCree nodded and then seemingly got serious. Locking gazes with me he said "Well, lets see how you do when we are no longer warmin up."

Taking a second to comprehend what McCree said I could barely notice him as he launched himself towards me. 'Quick!' I thought as I used my semblance to dodge his fist.

Reappearing behind him I tried to kick him but he grabbed my leg right before it hit his back. 'Does he have eyes on the back of his head?!' I thought as I tried to free my leg.

McCree using my leg flipped me, causing me to roughly hit the ground.

"Gyah!" I shouted out as I hit the ground hardly. What I didn't expect next though was for McCree to jump onto me with his elbow aimed at my gut.

Like a cleaver, McCree elbowed my gut, causing me to lose my breath. 'Luckily my aura helped protect me...' I thought as I stood back up.

McCree looked questioningly towards me. Eyebrows raised he said "Wow, never knew you could take a hit that hard. Usually that gets most people."

Ignoring his question I prepared another attack only to hear Anna declare the winner.

"Enough, it is decided that McCree has won. We don't want you getting to injured."

Frowning I pouted as I lost another fight without my weapon. 'Guess even with Masons memories of martial arts, they aren't completely mine...' I thought as I wiped some sweat from my head.

Pout disappearing I approached McCree and held out my hand with a smile on my face. "Good fight McCree!"

McCree chuckled slightly and shook my hand. "You didn't do too bad out there either, you can use some work though."

Anna interrupted and announced her opinion. "That she can. Ruby during that fight you showed that you need some improvements in close quarters, as such you will be training every day now with different people who can teach you CQC."

My smiled turned lopsided and I chuckled slightly. I nodded towards Anna and got off the arena as I waited for the next part of the test.

"Next up is the physical aspect of the test. I have already seen your stamina and speed first hand, so instead I want to see how strong you are." Anna said as she led me towards an area full of weights.

"We will do a simple test, this machine right here can measure how much weight you can lift." She said as she patted a clunky looking weight machine. "We will be using this to see how much weight you can lift, after that we will do more fighting."

Curiously I looked at the machine, deciding to try it I approached the machine and stood in the middle of it. After that I grabbed two handles that stood on both sides of me tightly.

"Sooo what do I do now?" I asked Anna as she pulled out a clipboard.

"Well, now I am going to turn on the machine, it will slowly increase in weight and your goal is to keep the handles from touching the ground." Anna said as she went to the side of the machine and pressed a button.

Slowly but surely I felt the weight increase, as both handles tried to touch the ground. Crouching slightly to get a better position I held my own against them. I watched as the weight increased steadily.

25lbs, 50lbs, 75lbs, 100lbs. The weight increased on me but I still held my own. After the 200lbs mark I started to feel the weight. 'Wow, this is getting a little heavy...' I thought as I gripped the handles even harder.

Holding the handles even tighter, I kept holding on. Unknowingly I was surprising everyone who was watching as I passed the 300lbs mark. Some might ask why they were surprised? Well when a 5ft girl can hold 300lbs, it really makes some people jealous.

'This is getting a little too heavy!' I thought as the marker approached 375lbs. Still holding onto the handles, albeit with shaking arms I held on. Slowly the marker hit 401lbs and I dropped the handles.

Vweem.

The sound of the machine stopping sounded out as the people stared in awe at how strong I am. Lena was cheering happily, as Angela was staring in awe. McCree opted to simply whistle as he looked at the weight.

"No way! I never knew you were that strong love!? Where are all the muscles?" Lena happily asked from the sidelines.

Angela was now looking at me like a puzzle and McCree was shaking his head. "Hah you put most men to shame with how much you can carry." McCree sighed out.

Anna finally finished everything and smirked. "Hmm so you are strong physically, I would have never thought of it with how small you are."

I smirked slightly and remembered all of the times I trained with Yang to be able to do this. "Yeah I trained a lot with weights so I could wield Crescent Rose." I happily said to the group.

Angela stayed quiet as Lena jumped around me like a happy dog. McCree was simply smiling slightly as Anna began to lead me to a door leading to a even larger part of the training room.

"Next up you will be fighting Training Bots. They will be using stun rounds, so each hit they land on you will hurt. Use everything in your arsenal to win." Anna said as we approached the room.

The room was a room cut off from the rest of the training room. The reason for that was so bullets and other attacks don't exit the area. Entering the door I saw something similar to the Citadel from Starwars. There was a multitude of different areas either for cover, or attacking.

Towers stood on the sides of the room as a multitude of barricades were scattered for cover. Anna, McCree, Angela, and Lena all went to a side door that took them to an observation deck.

"Alright, we will do multiple different waves at different levels. Levels 1-3 will be basic Training Bots, if you make it past that we will use actual Combat Bots. Once the light above you turns green we will begin." Anna said through a radio that echoed around me.

'I got this in the bag' I cheerfully thought as I watched the light on the wall turn from red, to yellow, and finally to green. The doors opened and I was let into the room that was full of training bots. Almost instantly I was met with shots heading towards me.

Pulling out Crescent Rose I used my semblance and made my way to a group of bots that were behind barricades. Dodging shots from the towers, I made quick work of the bots.

The sound of metal cutting through metal as I decapitated bot after bot, like a storm I cleared almost all of the training bots. Finally I was left with the sniper bots in the towers. Aiming Crescent Rose at the bots in the towers, I pulled the trigger.

Bang! Shlinch.

My shot hit true as I watched the bot explode. Muttering to myself I said "Hmm alright lets try gravity dust." I spoke as I took cover behind a barricade.

Trying to will my aura into the clip for ammo, I willed it into gravity dust. I felt a slight drop in my aura as the clip on Crescent Rose had black markings, showing it was gravity dust.

Popping out of the barricades I took aim at final group on the tower and opened fire. A single bullet launched itself through the air at high speeds as it hit the bot in the front of the group.

Unexpectedly instead of the bullet going through the bot, it was like a hammer hit it. The bullet crushed the chest of the bot so it looked like scrap metal, and launched it backwards crushing the two bots that stood behind it.

'That was overkill, alright no dust ammo.' I thought as I switched magazines for normal ammunition.

Ding!

Hearing a dinging noise I heard Anna speak out. "Alright that was level 1, prepare for 2."

After she said that more bots appeared from a trapdoor on the ground and slowly rose upwards. After that I did what I did best, and that was fight. For the next two rounds I met 0 difficulties except dodging bullets.

Clearing both rounds with flying colors I destroyed every training bot. The final bot on round 3 was standing in front of myself with no arms.

'Sorry little guy.' I thought as I put Crescent Rose behind its head and shot. The shot pushing Crescent Roses blade through the bot, I was soon left with scrap metal.

Ding!

"Congratulations Lena, you have beat all waves of training bots. Next up is going to be a single round of actual combat droids just to see how well you do." Anna said as I was preparing for the next fight expecting nothing exceptional.

Taking a moment I wiped some sweat from my head and readied Crescent Rose. I watched as the floor opened up but this time, it wasn't training bots. It was robots that looked almost identical to Atlesian Military Droids.

Eyes opening widely I had a flashback from the attack of Beacon. Atlesian Battle Droids roaming everywhere, gunning down unlucky people who couldn't defend themselves. Marching around they gunned down civilians and unexpecting huntsmen alike.

Bang!

Being pulled from my memories I felt a shot hit me, denting my aura seriously. "Argh!" I shouted out in frustration and slightly in pain as I sped towards the droids that stood before me. No longer seeing the normal combat droids, instead I saw them as Atlesian Military Droids, and decided to go all out.

As I was going all out the people in the observation deck were all talking amongst themselves.

"Oh no is she ok?!" Lena gasped as she watched Ruby freeze up for some reason after seeing the robots, thus causing her to get shot.

Anna helped calm Lena as she said "Not to worry, these shots are more powerful than the training shots, but they wont cause any real damage because I lowered their power." After hearing this Lena calmed down slightly.

Angela frowned but decided to keep quiet as she was inwardly thinking 'Damage? That did nothing to her...'

McCree himself was simply watching as Ruby took down a whole battalion of droids. Whistling out he smirked and said "Heh she has got skill, I don't even think I could do that good by myself."

The rest of the group being pulled from their stupor by McCrees statement, all looked out as Ruby cut down droids by the dozens while traveling at speeds they never saw her travel at before.

I completely ignored the people watching me on the observation deck as I was cutting down the combat droids. 'I must stop them!' I thought as I changed my ammunition back into different types of dust.

Bullets full of fire dust hit a group of combat droids that were shooting me from the tower.

Boom!

The explosion of the fire dust ammo sounded out as it destroyed portions of the tower. Switching to gravity I used the ammunition to launch myself forward.

Flying towards them at speeds that the watchers could barely see I cut down the bots that stood in front of myself. My silver eyes hardening as I glared towards the bots. Cloaking turning in the wind caused by my speeds I began to destroy the bots. Cutting down one, two, three, I lost count.

Slowly but surely I was left alone on top of a mountain of scrap metal, panting heavily as I had Crescent Rose behind my back prepared for another droid.

Looking around myself I saw the room destroyed by my miss use of dust ammo. A tower almost destroyed completely from multiple shots of fire dust, and the ground and walls cracked from gravity dust.

'Oops?' I thought as I put Crescent Rose and looked around at the destruction I caused.

Ding!

"That is enough Ruby, you can leave what's left of the room now." Anna harshly said as she was angry that I destroyed so much of the room.

Nervously I scratched my head and exited the room and was met with a happy Tracer blinking into me.

"You did great out there love! You were cutting down bot after bot like no tomorrow!" Lena happily said as she was hugging me while jumping up and down.

McCree simply chuckled as Angela approached me to check to make sure I was ok. Angela pulled Lena from me, and checked the area that I was shot at.

Inwardly she was surprised as the shot didn't even damage my outfit. "Are you hurt anywhere?" Angela asked as she was checking my body.

"Uhh no? I'm fine, just a little tired." I nervously said to Angela as she was checking my body for any injuries.

Seemingly happy with herself Angela patted my shoulder and told me "You did a great job out there Ruby, I am excited to see how well you do next time."

Anna cut us off as she approached me with a frown on her face. "If by great job you mean destroying my Training Room, then yes Ruby did great." Anna shook her head and sighed.

Laughing nervously I muttered "Heheh, sorry? I didn't mean to go that overboard..."

Anna heard this and her frown disappeared slightly as she patted me on the shoulder.

"You did good out there, just remember that we need to cause the least amount of damage on missions. Other than that congratulations, you are now officially a member of Overwatch we will hold a greeting party later tonight." Anna told me in a motherly tone as I was listening.

Happily I squealed and gave Anna a big hug.

"Ooo thank you!" I happily said as Anna pushed me off of herself and glared at me.

'Oops...' I thought as I silently backed up a couple steps away from Anna.

"Well then Ruby you have the rest of the day off. I will see you later tonight at the greetings." Anna said as she dusted her uniform off and walked away.

McCree patted me on the shoulders and left me with the words of "Good job kid."

Angela said "I will see you later tonight, right now I must get back to my work." and with that Angela left the room.

Leaving just Lena and I to our own business in the training room.
