Best Birthday Ever

Wearing a red tuxedo.

He was in a bow tie, surprising.

His hair as smooth as silk....

His beautiful and captivating eyes met mine, and i had butterflies in my belly.

He got downstairs, and hugged his mother.

"ALL HAIL PRINCE ETHAN!" Some other princes rushed downstairs and among them was Prince Reagan. Huh! The worst!

"Happy birthday Rose." The Princes took turns to wish me.

"Ethan, wish her!" Queen Leah said.

"Hap...happy birthday Rose." He said looking at his shoes, i felt sad.

"Thank...."

"Why do you have a hickey on your neck?" He asked me. Woah! How did he see it?

"Hickey?" I touched it.

"I didn't see it." He clenched his fist and left angrily. The Queen had invited some entertainers. They were dancing and so much merriment, until i saw Xiao Li wearing a green qipao with hand held fans dancing. Everyone fell in love with her steps and Vivian added more marks. To my shock, Prince Reagan took Kanya's hand, flipped her and they started doing a slow romantic dance. I rolled my eyes.

"Are you jealous?" I heard a voice beside me.

"I can never be jealous."

"Yeah. He's a playboy and i will kill him if he touches you!" I smiled at Prince Ethan's words.

"Are you trying to win my heart?" I asked him.

"No...i know you don't love me so am keeping my distance." My mind drifted to the wish i made. I only made it because i was desperate for vanilla, right? Second reason - it was mistakenly, I, Princess Rose of May speak faster than my brain.

After the dance performance, we started hearing guns. When we ran outside, there were loud gunshots of CANDY!!!! Gun shaped Candies were flying out, as i watched little fearless kids going after the candies, putting as much as they can in their baskets. Soon, i grabbed a basket to pick candies. Not only candies, there were gold coins, and silver coins. The poor were invited as they rushed for the stuff. I saw Prince Ethan also packing some candies.

Then, there was the loudest thunder i ever heard, and i was so scared, i leaped forward, straight into Prince Ethan's arms, and the rain started.

The rain of hot, sweet romance.

Children were running, trying to pick things before the rain washed them away. We didn't even hear Queen Leah clearing her throat. We were staring into each other's eyes. I only pulled away, when i noticed his eyes running around my body.

"Sire, am sorry!"

"Sorry can't fix anything! Look at my tuxedo!" He snarled and i felt sad.

"Hey you! You have no right to yell at her on her birthday!" Queen Leah thundered.

"Look mum, you know am capable of sending you to the dungeons!"

"And am capable of beheading you myself, who gave birth to you! You have become a monster!"

"Its all because of R..." He stormed inside the palace angrily. I saw King Damien and Queen Jennie, coming in a carriage. Queen Leah followed Prince Ethan. I wanted to follow them but someone held my hand.

"Who....PRINCE REAGAN??" I yelled and tried to free myself from his grip but he ended up twisting my arm. I hit my leg on his and he yelled.

"Ouch." I ran into the palace, upstairs where he couldn't find me. When i thought i was free, i felt someone holding my face and i screamed when i saw his disgusting face.

"HOW DARE YOU!" I hit another flower vase on his bandaged head. He passed out while i ran to Prince Ethan's chambers.

"You can't come in here."

"But can i eavesdrop?" I asked.

"NO!" The guard hardened his voice on me.

"Shut up! She's the princess of May, who celebrates her birthday today." One maid said to the guard.

"No problem, eavesdrop."

"Tell me, why are you being such a monster? You couldn't even hold meetings, or have drills, why?" Queen Leah asked him, as he looked troubled.

"I...i...Mum, Rose doesn't love me." I gasped at this.

"What? Do you want her to love you?" Queen Leah asked.

"Well...i think i have little feelings for her, but i can't tell her, you know she's from May."

"You two love each other, how does that have to do with her being from May? When it comes to love, i don't care about some kingdom rivalry.

"She doesn't love me. She said we were just friends."

"Am sorry my son. You'll get over it. You guys are still having the TLW challenge, and Kanya is close to winning, i think your love has failed."

"She must be in love with Reagan. Didn't you see the hickey on her neck?"

"Hickey? Reagan kissed her without her consent."

"Did you think that's even true?" I saw Queen Leah sigh and stand up. I immediately hid behind the door, watching her leave.

"Prince Ethan..." I went into his chamber and saw him looking down at his shoe.

"Am...am here to..."

"Tell me you don't like me! Bye!" He thundered.

"How could you be so weak? How could you think like that? You see, i..." I sat on his bed and ran my fingers through my wet hair.

"I like you, but the thing is i don't understand my life yet, and the thing about Racalyn and May."

"Did you overhear me and my mum?" He asked.

"Yeah. And i've been hearing bad stories about us. My mission is to know the truth" I frowned.

"You will know all that later, i just want you to fall in love with me."

"I have...." I was lying, but it felt like i was telling the truth.

"Would you grab my arm, so I can tell my friends I've been touched by an angel?" He said and that got my heart pounding. I got up and started screaming, chasing him.

The whole palace noticed us, and burst into laughter. We got into the rain.

"Ahhh! Rose please, please stop chasing me! I hate rain!" He yelled.

"But you'll have to like it now." We ran all around the magnificent palace and the gardens, but neither me nor the rain stopped one bit.

"Stop chasing me Rose!" He fell into a puddle of water and everyone watching from the windows burst into laughter.

"What...! Rose you're so..." I finally caught him giggling.

"I won't spare you!" I yelled and held his arm.

"Wow! Just take a look at my skin..if grapes make skin beautiful, then you must be living in a vineyard!"

"I live in May, you silly thing."

"Just shut up Rose, my ears are burning!" I pouted at his yell. And with that, he pulled my face closer, he smashed his lips on mine. I went deaf in minutes.

YAY!!!

My wish came true!

I moaned between kisses, went the flow, and just like that, i was an expert! His lips was just my favorite flavor - vanilla.

Facts you don't know about vanilla - Vanilla gives off that floral, sweet, creamy scent we go nuts for. Vanilla is one of those flavors that is pretty much universally loved or accepted. Well that's how accepted, creamy and lovely his lips were. He went gentle and soft, like he was actually teaching me.

Nah! Am an expert, please!!!!

His hand slid around my waist but before anything else could happen, i pulled away.

"Thanks for that. It was my birthday wish." I said shyly.

"What? I..i didn't know, i just felt the need to do it."

"Well, you shouldn't have - we are still in the challenge." Then, the rain stopped. Our hair strands were all over our face. He noticed me shivering. He then took his jacket off and wrapped me with it. We went into the palace.
