Body Heat
Li Ming Hao did not pay heed to her words. For him, it was more important that she was fine. Why did he feel like that? He did have a faint idea about it.
He was a person who was famous for being a rich heir here in this country. A lot of people approached him with malicious intentions, which was why he had no friends whatsoever. When he went abroad, he had finally opened up to a few of international students while hiding his identity as a wealthy scion. But still, there was nothing better than having a person with same background as a friend.
Even now, there were people who were eyeing his dad's wealth. But he understood in his heart that it was his dad's blood, sweat and tears. He had to make his own place. This girl was the only one who did not really treat him as a 'young master'. Which was why he was drawn to her more, not to mention she was very amusing and super knowledgeable.
When he saw going still same as Chen Chen, he wanted to take her out of the lake immediately. But for her, the hallucination effect had kicked in only when they had reached the middle of the lake. There was no point in going back. Fortunately, Rocky had found a small corner with some land where he could take her out.
He had laid her down on the unleveled ground but was afraid to do a CPR on such a place full of rocks beneath. Taking out all the clothes he had in his bag and his own as well, he made a comfortable space for her back and then performed the CPR.
He had not anticipated that his first kiss with the girl would be like this. He wanted to enjoy that moment. 'Ah! Whatever! Some other day!' He had ruffled his hair in frustration and gone back to work. Rocky had also sensed how worried her owner was for this lass. She also understood that she had to treat this girl well in the future.
"Cough, cough," Su Xin Yu threw up some water but finally came to her senses.
"I found the key!" she spoke excitedly in her feeble voice. When her vision became clear, she saw a very concerned Li Ming Hao's face looming over hers. He was so close that she could feel his breath on her face, he was panting after all the exercise.
"You… are you alright?" he asked, his voice trembling with worry. He sat down on the ground, heaving a sigh of relief and took her upper body in his arms, "Do you even have any idea how worried I was?" The lines on his forehead finally smoothened out.
Su Xin Yu felt touched for some reason. She had no idea if this guy was truly concerned about her or the fact that if she died like this, his dad would lose a precious pawn. It's not like her life mattered to Dean Li much, which was why he would send her on dangerous missions all the time.
"I am okay, don't worry," she raised her hand and cupped his face lightly assuring him that she was indeed fine. No matter what, this guy was taking too much pain for this trip. He had to bear Chen Chen's tantrums and then her clumsiness.
Li Ming Hao's expression was like a lost child who had just separated from his mother. Su Xin Yu chuckled in her mind. The guy embraced her into his sturdy chest. That was when Su Xin Yu realized that Li Ming Hao was bare chested, only his boxers were on. What the hell was going on?
She pushed him a little, her hands tracing the abs of the man subconsciously. Oh man, that was one heck of a body. Did he train regularly or what?
Li Ming Hao giggled. This girl… was too bold!
"Touched enough?" he smirked.
"Who… who was touching you? Let me go eh? Haven't you taken enough advantage of me in my unconscious state?" Su Xin Yu felt flustered when she was caught in her action, but she could always blame her hallucinations for that. She got up right back to talk back with Li Ming Hao.
He looked at her with helplessness. This lass was shameless too, not admitting her wrongs. At least now he knew she liked his ripped body. One day she would like his heart too, for sure.
"What about the key?" he asked her.
Su Xin Yu sat down properly on the ground with his help. She looked around and finally made the connection with what had happened just now. She opened her braid, and her wet locks were now falling on her shoulders like a waterfall.
Li Ming Hao swallowed his saliva. If some more, he would perhaps not be able to control himself. This girl was truly different from all those who were always throwing themselves on him. He stared at her in a daze.
Su Xin Yu felt his gaze full of passion and covered her body with her arms, "What are you looking at?"
Li Ming Hao instantly shifted his gaze, a mischief brewing in his eyes. He laughed once again.
"Key, what about the key? We are so close to this wall, can you see clearly now?" he asked, his face to the side so that the girl could not see the slight pink on his cheeks.
"Oh yeah, in my vision I saw my dad. Well, not dad actually, someone with his voice. He said it was my reward for recognizing that I was in the illusion," she informed him while trying to dry her hair. This guy had put her with wet clothes on everything he had. Now, there was no cloth for them to dry themselves.
They would not even be able to break the branches of that tree and light a fire. The earlier violent reaction from the cave when Chen Chen had broken the branch happened a few minutes ago only.
She shivered from the cold.
"Ah! Want to sit close by? I have some fuel cans that I sneaked in my bag. They would not be wet so they should light up," Li Ming Hao moved close to the girl who was trembling from cold.
"I think there is wind coming in from somewhere. There should be some way around here," she spoke her teeth chattering.
Li Ming Hao hurriedly lit up the three cans and brought them together in front of Su Xin Yu. Then he sat down beside her but the fire was still only in front of the girl. She put her hands on it, it was such a wonderful feeling. The warmth was really a life savior.
Then she noticed Li Ming Hao without clothes just beside her. Ayyy, this guy! Should have saved something for himself. She grabbed his hands and brought them near fire as well. Something was better than nothing.
Li Ming Hao was stunned. The soft glow of the small fire illuminating her face reminded him of the first night they had met. Even after going through all these adversities, her face was still as goddess like as then. She did not even flaunt the fact that she had saved him twice.
No wonder he was falling for her. He put his arm around her and brought her closer to his body, their hearts racing together. This time Su Xin Yu also did not say anything. More than the small fire, the heat from his body was more comforting. Right now, they were in dire conditions.
She realized Li Ming Hao had not removed any of her clothes in consideration. So she herself took off her top and pants. They were completely drenched, and she did not want Li Ming Hao to be catching cold because of being in contact with her wet clothes.
There she was, sitting in black tube top and black shorts, her fair skin visible. Her collarbones were really sexy, Li Ming Hao had really stepped on a mine. How was he to control himself when such a tempting lass was sitting inches away?
