Chapter Twenty four

Bloom's POV

"Bloom?"

My head pounded and my throat felt dry.

"Bloom, please open your eyes"

I tried to.

I really tried but each time I try, my eyelids felt heavier and heavier until I welcomed the darkness.

Sometimes I hear Ari speak and then other times it's Mom or Kyra but never my mate.

But this time around, I felt someone holding my hand.

And then that person was talking.

It was Ari.

I couldn't make out what she was saying but she sounded really sad.

I felt that sudden urge to comfort her so I squeezed her hand.

"Bloom, you can do this. Try to open your eyes, sweetheart"

Sweetheart?

That sounded like what mom would say.

I tried moving my eyelids and suddenly Ari left my hand and a few seconds later she was back at my side holding my hand.

"Bloom you can do this. I know you can. Everyone's waiting for you. Kyra, Xander, Mom, me and your mate too. Please open your eyes"

Mate?!

He was waiting for me?!
