No... for now I have nothing to say or ask, right now I just want to be alone to think about all this." Answer Mo Shatian.

"Is that so… then take your time properly to think things through and reach whatever answers and conclusions you receive." Xiao Ling said with a slight smile on her face.

Rising from the chair, Mo Shatian thanked Xiao Ling, then left the room.

Seeing Xiao Lin in front of the exit of the house like she was waiting for him as if she had something to say, but Mo Shatian only glanced at her and stopped Xiao Lin from saying anything.

"I understand, so you don't have to say anything. For now, I need some time to think about all of this." said Mo Shatian without even glancing at xiaon lin as he walked out the door.

Mo Shatian walked around the village towards his house while being lit by the moonlight. There were many things on his mind right now such as himself, the village, and cultivators as well.

'I wonder what to do next… after hearing everything Uncle Ling said, I feel pretty sure there is a possibility that I have the talent to become a cultivator or possess something called a spiritual root.'

Lost in his own thoughts, Mo Shatian didn't realize that someone was speaking to him. Until that person was standing right in front of him, he was an elder from outside the village and he had even saved him before.

"Is there something that makes you drown in your own thoughts so you don't realize your surroundings, son?" asked the elder with a curious look on his face.

"Ah... yes, there's something on my mind right now." Shatian replied in a slightly surprised tone.

"If you can't find a solution, why don't you ask someone for advice?" said the elder in a gentle voice.

Paused for a moment before finally deciding to speak, "then can I ask your advice for what I'm thinking right now?"

Shatian thought that among all the people in the village, he was sure that the only one who could give him a solution to what he was thinking was the elder who was standing before him.

'If it's him... a cultivator and someone from outside the village, I'm sure he'll be able to come up with the right answer to my current problem.'

"And any suggestions on how I can help?" asked Elder.

"Advice about cultivators, about this village and about what should I do next?" reply Shatian.

Understanding the intent of his question, Shatian had hopes that Elder could give him a satisfactory answer.

"Yes, this is all as you mean." replied Shatian in a tone filled with enthusiasm.

"Then there's nothing I can give as an answer to the problem you're thinking about right now."

Surprised at the answer he didn't expect, Shatian could only stare blankly at the Elder's face as if he couldn't believe what he was hearing.

"Don't look at me with that look... I understand exactly what your question means, but it's true that there's no answer I can give you because only you can find the answer yourself."

Adding, "if you start asking for answers or conclusions about your existence, then you will lose the meaning of your own existence."

"There is no meaning for someone who asks others for meaning about himself, because the meaning of his existence will only depend on other people, not on himself. Therefore, only you yourself can determine the meaning of your existence." Elder said ending his words in a solemn voice.

Hearing the elder's words, Shatian finally realized the answer to his own question, therefore he had already decided what he wanted to do and what he should do in the future.

"Thank you, after listening to what you said, I understand exactly what I will do next."

His mother has given him choices about what he wants to do in the future. Knowing that her child was born with Spiritual Root, knowing full well the nature of her own son, her mother decided not to tell him anything.

The rest was for him to decide what to do next and hearing the answer from Elder made Shatian even more certain of his decision.

The Elder only smiled and nodded after seeing the clarity and resolution in Shatian's eyes.

"Looks like you've decided what to do, then I'll go over to Xiao Ling's place. There's something I need to talk to him about."

After seeing the elder just walk away to Xiao Ling's place, Mo Shatian went home to rest his weary body.

Upon arriving at Xiao Ling's home, Elder immediately met with him to discuss what happened during the Heavenly Tribulation and what he found on the Misty Mountain when he went to monitor the phenomenon called Demon Ascension.

"Elder I am glad to see you are well." Xiao Ling said as he greeted the elder in his room.

There were only the two of them in the room, this was the same room that Xiao Ling had used when he talked to Shatian earlier. This room was Xiao Ling's private room where he used it in private and confidential matters, it was also the same room he used when he first talked to the elder.

"Of course, I just came back from the Misty Mountain to monitor the Heavenly Tribulation situation, but the Misty Mountain turned out to be a much more dangerous place than I expected." Elder said with a serious face.

Hearing Elder's words made Xiao Ling couldn't help but think back to their trip to the Misty Mountain, even though he only reached the foot of the mountain but he could feel an extraordinary spiritual energy that forced him to ask, "…more dangerous than you think?"

"That's right I know that places with spiritual energy have inhabitants inhabiting them, after all, magical beasts are attracted by Spiritual Energy. And I was a little surprised to find that it's not only the Demon Beasts that underwent the Heavenly Tribulation that inhabit the Misty Mountain."

"…It means?" asked Xiao Ling in a nervous voice.

"Yes, I found that there were three other Demon Beasts guarding and helping the Demon Beasts that were experiencing Heavenly Tribulation and they didn't even let me get close." Elder replied in a calm voice.

Xiao Ling who heard that there were more than three Demon Beast inhabiting the Misty Mountain was very surprised and asked with a trembling voice.

"…. Then do you know what level those Demon Beasts are at?"

"Sure, I can tell which level they are from their Spiritual Energy… one is at the Sixth-tier, and the other two are at the Third-tier, I'm guessing the Demon Beast that underwent the heavenly tribulation are at the First-tier and are trying to advance to the Second-tier."

Elder could clearly remember the murderous aura given off by the Sixth-tier Demon Beast which was likely their leader.

"It seems the Demon Beasts make the Misty Mountain their territory and won't let anyone who tries to enter the Misty Mountain." Elder answered in a calm voice.

"…S-Sixth-tier, then I wonder why me and the others were able to return safely when we went to the Misty Mountain." Xiao Ling said in a curious tone.

"Did you feel a strong Spiritual Energy pressure when you tried to enter the misty mountain."

"Yes… when we were about to enter the Misty Mountain, we suddenly felt an extremely strong Spiritual Energy pressure from the direction of the Misty Mountain peak."

"That is a warning given to anyone who tries to enter the Misty Mountain, I also felt it when I tried to get close to Heavenly Tribulation. The reason you were able to return safely is because you didn't try to force your way into their territory." Elder said in a clear tone.

"I forgot to ask what about Demon Beast that passed through the Heavenly Tribulation?" she asked.

"Of course, since there are several other Demon Beasts guarding and assisting it, the probability of success is very high." Answer Elder.

After a moment of silence ensued, "I met that kid when I came here, and I think I know what he's thinking." Elder said with an interested tone.
