5 years later...

"Leo, it's your turn." I sleepily grumped and pushed Leo's shoulder. He responded with a groan of his own and put a pillow over his head.

"Thanks a lot babe," I yawned and sat up in bed. Looking over at the clock, I cursed the little demon in the next room over.

I was tired of waking up at 4 in the morning. But its worth it, right?

I exited out of the bedroom and quickly into the room next to ours. I smiled at the sight in front of me.

"Well hello Alice," I smiled and picked up the little girl who was smiling at me with such joy.

"What's got you so upset, sweetheart?" I asked and brought her over to the changing table, she had quiet the routine going.

We put her to bed at 7, right after dinner. Then like clock work, she wakes up at 11. Then again at 1. And once more at 4.

Each time it's because of a disgusting diaper. How could such a tiny being, poop this much?

"Hey," I heard Leo's sleepy voice greet me from behind and then a few seconds later felt his warm arms wrap around my waist.

"Morning," I smiled and leaned into him.

After our 3rd anniversary together, We decided it was time to start trying for a baby.

It was an easy and fun process, but the first time the results were not friendly to us.

I ended up having a miscarriage due to the dialysis I was on. We would have named him Matthew.

I had always loved that name.

I stopped dialysis and we tried again. This time, less fun. I was stressed, Leo was stressed, and everything seemed to be going wrong.

Well, until I took a pregnancy test and we found out we were pregnant.

9 months later, We had Alice. A beautiful baby. She had a lot more of Leo's features then my own.

Like his blonde her, dimples, and lots off freckles. She had my eyes and nose though.

"We should make another one," Leo whispered and kissed the back of my neck.

"Another? You wipe this babies ass and tell me you want another." I laughed and finished changing Alice's diaper.

"Please," Leo begged and I turned around and cupped his face.

"One day," I smiled and placed a kissed on his lips. I could feel him smile against mine.

Leo was precious.

"I'll take it," He whispered and snuck past me to pick up Alice.

"Go get some rest, love." He kissed my forehead and I nodded.

I was too exhausted to argue and try to be a good wife. He could handle Alice.

I quickly retreated to our bedroom and prayed the sleep gods would let me fall back asleep.

And thankfully they did, well until Leo came in and woke me up.

"Baby," he whispered and I felt a kiss on my cheek.

"Mm," I groaned and pushed his fat face away. I love this man to death but if he doesn't let me sleep, he's going to be sleeping on the sofa.

"Riley," He groaned and flopped on the bed next to me.

I ignored him but felt his eyes burning holes in my head, "what Leo?" I asked with a sigh.

"Do you want to make milkshakes?" He asked and I couldn't help but laugh.

"It's 4 in the morning!" I yelled into my pillow.

"So? I want chocolate." I was sure I was married to a child.

But he was married to one too. Because at four in the morning, we were making chocolate milkshakes and dancing to singing Paul Anka, very badly.

I wouldn't change a thing. He was my family.
