'Thoughts'

----------------------------

The next day before breakfast Robert headed towards the infirmary. He had dark circles beneath his eyes showing his lack of sleep. The children were already up and awake. A crowd of redheads swarming one of the beds.

"How foolish it was of you to run towards danger like that. Just you wait when our mother gets word of this." Percy was berating Ron. "Armed with nothing but a few pranks from your brothers no less. You two should stop with this nonsense."

"Prefect Weasley, I wouldn't downplay the usefulness of those so called pranks." Robert interjected before the twins could say anything.

"The troll slayer has finally woken up." Fred said.

"Let us bask in his glory. Hip,hip." George started chanting.

"Silence in my ward or I'll throw all of you out." Madam Pomfrey demanded.

"Yes, ma'am." The twins saluted.

"Hello madam Pomfrey. Could I have a sip of pepper up potion. I need it desperately today." Robert asked while almost yawning.

"I'll prescribe what's needed after I examine you. No use in running away." She huffed and went to check on Hermione.

"I'd like to officially thank you for helping my brother. We're in your debt." Percy said while making the twins bow by grabbing their heads.

"No need for formalities. It was my job. I don't get paid to do nothing after all." 'Maybe I'll even get a raise.' Robert thought.

"How are you doing Ron?" Robert asked.

"I'm fine. You were bloody brilliant yesterday. Not like we were." Ron looked downcast.

"You did enough. You used means that were available to you and gave me time to react. So don't belittle yourself. You've done more than anybody would hope for." Robert patted Ron's head approvingly. To which a smile returned to the little boys face.

"And how are you Harry?" Robert asked the boy laying on the adjacent bed.

"I'm fine. A little sore from pulling Hermione from harm's way. But I'll manage." He said with a reassuring smile. Robert gave the boy a small hug, from which the boy didn't push away. Ending the hug Robert went to see Hermione sitting and ready to leave the infirmary.

"Miss Granger it's good to see you in great shape. How are you faring after yesterday's..." Robert couldn't finish because he was hit with a brown missle. Which was crying and saying sorry a bunch of times. Robert hugged back the little girl and rubbed her back in circles trying to calm her down.

"Miss Granger it's a crime to make a young lady cry so please cheer up." He whispered. The girl giggled at that.

"And yet you almost made me cry over a month a go, sir." She said while wiping her tears.

"Sometimes you need to break the law to make your message across. But you didn't hear that coming from me." He jokingly said.

After the check up and most needed potion Robert lead the students towards breakfast. When they entered the Great Hall it was filled with silence. People looked at them and clapping started. Some older rambunctious girls from Griffindor started cat calling Robert. While other students showed quiet appreciation towards him. Robert sat down at the staff's table. Trying to not engage in eye contact with the red haired fuming witch of Hufflepuff.

'Yeah, I'll this one out. No need for getting my ear torned off by a raging witch.' Robert thought seeing Tonks gaze of disapproval.

Dumbledore made an official statement about the troll. He thanked the courageous souls that took part in its downfall. He gave 30 points to Griffindor and announced that Robert will be rewarded with the Special Award for Services to the School for taking care of the troll. The heroes of yesterday's event got a standing ovation from the student body.

'I'd rather get galleons than a reward that I won't even get for keeps. Since it'll just hang around in the trophy room.' Robert wasn't happy with this outcome.

Robert was walking back and forth in the room of requirements. He was thinking about how close of a call it was.

"The troll was stronger in comparison to the one from the books." He muttered.

Hopefully it's just one occurrence and not the norm. He wouldn't want the difficulty to level up. It's already hard as it is to make up for the difference between him and full grown mad man. He was but one man. And before him stood an army of deranged lunatics and hopeless idealists. Yes, even the so called light was his enemy. After all Robert won't be holding anything back to make sure the enemy will stay dead. There's no need to pity the fallen. You just have to look out so you don't get dragged into the abyss with them.

Sighing Robert began remembering another spell from the outskirts of his memory. This time a binding one. Two came to mind. However the first one will be hard to practice without a person as it targets the hands and binds them behind their back. So he chosen the second one for now.

"The puppets of destiny devoid of emotions." Sparks were seen condensing in his hands.

"The bell of reckoning invited the waves of folly." The sparks began twisting themselves as if forming strands.

"The shooting star ravages the upcoming blight." The strands tighten forming a rope.

"Art of binding numer 4 Slithering Rope!" A rope of electricity was fired from his hand and after reaching its target it binded the dummy.

However the spell was too weak to make the dummy even creak. It seems many sleepless nights will have to pass to make the spell viable for future uses. Having found his new focus for training he continued casting the spell until he was tired. At least it was becoming much more easier to cast.

Robert laid in his bed. Having been finished with his training and bath he copied another book focused on enchantment. When it finished the last book a notification popped up.
