Time slowly trickled down for Robert. Drop by drop anxiety dripped into his veins.

"And I thought waiting for exams was dreadful". Robert wiped sweat from his brow. Scotland although not famous for being the warmest place, it still had its heatwave moments. Especially during the longest day of summer. It was five minutes to 1 p.m. And there was no profesor in sight. Even Snape was becoming a much welcomed sight.

Hunger and thirst was slowly weathering him down. Maybe this experience will teach him to bring food no matter where he goes. After all we do not know the hour of portal reckoning.

As a rare breeze was slightly sweeping his worries away suddenly, he heard a cracking sound. Startled, he open his eyes only to see an unknown creature. It was about 2 feet tall and had bat-like ears on its oversized head. It wore a pillow-like cloth. On its front you could see the seal of Hogwarts proudly on display. It's big eyes were a curious shade of purple. If looked closely you could swear that there were golden lights twinkling in and out off them.

'A house elf? And what is with that smirk on its face.' Robert pondered after coming back from shock. This wasn't what he expected.

"Good day, sir. Are you perhaps Mr. Crow?" The elf asked with a surprising deep voice. Somehow it wasn't as jarring as Robert thought it could be. But certainly it was uncanny.

"Ah yes, I'm Robert Crow. Could you tell me how to address you?" Robert was wondering how an elf can have that voice. Weren't they supposed to be squeaky and not so fluent? And yet, here stood an elf with flawless enunciation.

"You may call me Albert. And you could say that I'm a cut above the rest."The elf replied politely looking towards Robert. Quietly evaluating him.

'Can it read my mind!?' Robert suddenly tried to empty his head of all thoughts. It woud be horrible if someone found out his origins.

"No. You just wear your emotions on your sleave. You'll probably want to fix that in the near future. Especially if you don't want anybody to take offense to that goofy expression you're making." Said the elf chastising the the foolish looking young man.

Robert didn't expect this. How come rhe books never mentioned this elf before? It has the aura of a mini boss you should not cross. How on earth were the Weasley's or anybody at that matter allowed to do any pranks in it's presence. Did something happen to it before the events of the first year?

"You'd do better with less inner monologing, sir. It's unbecoming of an adult." Albert said with a bit of a smirk. Thankfully it brought Robert back down from his thoughts. Indeed time was of the essence.

"Sorry, Albert. You could say that I had a roller-coaster of a day. Could you tell me why have you tried to find me?" Robert said while blushing. Nobody knew whether it was from embarrassment or because of hot weather.

"Of course, sir. I came here on behalf of the headmaster to take you to his office. And since he's a busy man I hope that we won't dawdle anymore than we should." Albert said while checking a pocket watch. Where did it get it from? Unfortunately that'll be a tale for another time to explore.

"Yes, we shouldn't keep the headmaster waiting." Said Robert awkwardly. He wasn't exactly happy about seeing him. He'd much rather tak to professor McGonagall. Less mind games and just maybe a better outcome.

"Ok. Then please hold my hand Mr. Crow. We'll pop off shortly to Hogwarts." After saying this Albert hold up its hand. Robert stood up from the bench and reached out to the elf. After grabbing it the elf snapped its other hand and suddenly there was darkness.

If you ever asked yourself what sounds best described Albus Dumbledores office it would be whirling and clicking noises. Trinkets of every color decorating the room added in an uncanny feeling to the room. Every single one of them hiding a mystery raring to be unfold. In the center of the room a desk stood proudly. Engraved in the dark red wood were many creatures. Some of them mystical in nature. On the table many stacks of parchment could be seen. Almost overflowing the table and giving a feeling of oppression from its weight. And in all of this a lonely figure was seen browsing papers. Albus Dumbledore the backbone of the british magical world. Once it's savior and now an elderly wizard burdened by paperwork.

Deeper inside, near the fireplace you could see a perch which was currently occupied by a magnificent red creature. It's body full of scarlet plumage with a tint of gold. Two long tail feathers almost brushing the floor. The legendary bird of rebirth, the phoenix was soundly asleep. Sometimes quiet trills could be heard coming from it.

The grandfather clock had began its hourly tradition. A playful melody rang out and filled the room with a sense of serenity. The elderly wizard took off his glasses and massaged his tired eyes. He glanced towards the window as if he was expecting something. Suddenly the serene picture was disturbed by a popping sound.

A young man and an elf appeared in front of the desk. The man was about 180 cm tall with short blonde hair. His light blue eyes were filled with astonishment and curiosity. His attair was peculiar to say the least. Not that the elderly wizard could judge. After all purple robes embellished with glowing glitter and stars aren't exactly the norm either. The elf bowed towards the headmaster and then as silently as it came it left the two man alone.

Silence. The men stared at each other. Gauging each other and waiting who will do the first move. Maybe because of his inexperience or his rumbling stomach Robert broke the silent exchange.

"It's a pleasure to meet you headmaster. My name is Robert Crow. It seems you have summoned me." Said Robert with some hint of awkwardness. Hopefully the headmaster won't see him in bad light because of his stupid stomach.

"Why hello to you too Mr Crow. Did you have a nice trip with Albert?". Said Albus with a twinkle in his eye.

"Of course, sir. Who would have thought that a journey through space can be so enjoyable." Robert said with a hearty smile.

"Well then Mr Crow. If you're ready then we can go through your enrollment in Hogwarts." Said the headmaster.

"Yes, professor." Robert replied.

"But first, would you like some lemon drop?" Albus asked with playfulness beaming from his eyes.

"It would be my pleasure." Said Robert with a smile.
