Journey to Snow Wind Family

Soon enough my maid comes back with a jar of water and pours it in the jar next to me on my nightstand. I thank her before starting to clean my face and freshen myself up for the day. She helps me get dressed in a pink robe and does my hair. Now standing before the mirror I see my new appearance for the very first time.

Of course I am not tall after all I am only 6 years old. However I look pretty cute in this pink dress. I have peachy cheeks, a small cute nose and what I like to describe as lips that could belong to a white lotus b*tch. Though I don't have the colorful hair color the named characters have, I do have beautiful brown hair which is now tied up in two loops. However my most outstanding feature would be my eyes which possess a shining golden amber color.

Yep I am satisfied with my new face. If I remember correctly my father was fairly tall, so I can expect to gain quite a bit of height over the years. I don't have a clear image of my mother but from what I hear from around she was quite a beauty. I am looking forward to my future appearance. Of course I will also take care of myself from the very beginning.

After checking myself out in the mirror and daydreaming about my future looks, I make my way to my aunt, Madam Chen, to have breakfast with her while my maid walks beside me. Even though I already have the memories of the previous owner of the body, I want to observe the mansion myself. After all it is best to make my own judgement of this new environment.

Passing by a pond, a stone garden and endless of flowers and tress, I finally make it to my aunt's residence and already smell the delicious food. I am greeted by some of her servants and they lead me to my aunt. As soon as the door slides I am greeted by a beautiful mature woman and feel myself drooling. She gives me a warm and familiar feeling and I have to admit the smile she was giving me made me feel even more so.

"Hurry up Xiao Mian! The food will cold otherwise."

I get closer and finally sit down by table finally noticing three other people or should I say children in the room.

"Mian Mian, you took too long I am getting hungry." A cute little voice that belong to my dear cousin Chen Lin Jian complained.

While two other voices also belonging to tiny humans warmly greeted me "Jie Jie good morning."

I quickly made up an excuse and apologized. "It seems like I overslept sorry. Let's start."

Pretty soon one could hear nothing but sounds of multiple enjoying their meals. This lasted until everyone of us had eaten their fill.

"Jie Jie will you play with us now?" The older of the two tiny humans, Chen Lin He, asked while bubbling younger one, Chen Lin Bao, nodded enthusiastically. Meanwhile Lin Jian was looking at me with hopeful eyes, before I had to break their little hearts by shaking my head.

"Sorry today I am going to Han-ge but I can play with you after I come back. I promise." I say slowly and giving them a small smile.

-Time skip-

I was in a carriage on my way to my "beloved" fiance and I will never forgive the movies that made riding a carriage look comfortable. Such frauds. I shouldn't have been so optimistic about it and should have just believed the manhuas that were honest with me. Riding a carriage is a skill I didn't know I would need to acquire in order to survive this world.

Passing by the various citizen's of Glory City and their stores and stalls, the world I had previously thought of while reading the novel was coming to life. There were different noises, women calling for their children, salespeople shouting out their newest offers and children laughing while running around and playing. The scents of horses, different street food and the humidity and environment itself. The sight of children running around and people going about their daily life gave me an awakening. It was no longer just a city that was just the beginning of Nie Li's journey. It was instead a lively city that was the home of many citizens who all have their own story to tell.

It was then my slightly nauseous self realized that this wasn't merely a novel instead it was a world on its own. Even though it is only the beginning of an even bigger journey for me, it is still a proper world with actual people. People who live, think, love, eat and feel just like in my previous world. It would be naive of me to believe that everything would be just like in novel. When has life - actual life - ever been predictable? So I decided that no matter what world I visit in the future I will live my life. I wouldn't just self insert myself in a novel. No I will live properly in this world. I will think, love, eat, feel and cherish the opportunity given to me to experience different lives. I will make an impact in this world however I will also enjoy this journey.

"Bling!"

[You have awakened and learnt to cherish life. You increased soul strength. You have increased your intelligence. You have earned a reward.]

"Milo... just how low is the bar on gaining an accomplishment with this system. I was simply thinking deeper than usual." I accuse Milo with a joking voice but I truly felt as if the system was belittling my intelligence. Isn't it usually super hard to increase stats like intelligence? And wasn't my soul strength supposed to increase after I actually experience something.

"Well Mielle... since this is a system that supposed to make you a ROB and not a system for wish fulfillment only the entry requirements are high. Anything else will be rewarded. After all ROBs love themselves to much to watch one of their kind work as hard as a mere transmigrator to gain rewards." Milo explains this to me in a self-explanatory manner and I can't help but feel myself sweatdrop. If any transmigrator were to find this out, they would be suing whichever ROB that gave them their system. The world truly isn't fair.

Anyways I click on the 'open reward' button to see what I got.

[You have gained instant mastery of third grade skill: 'Foresight']

I look at the explanation beneath to see what the skill entails.

[Foresight:

Foresight is a heightened sixth sense that can cause you to tell genuine apart from fake and truth from false. No matter how deceitful something may be you will get a hunch whether it is good or bad. This skill allows you correctly perceive whether someone is truthful and lying.

Want to go gambling? Use foresight! Want to invest in stocks? Use foresight and you will be rich in no time! Want to know whether someone is a friend or a foe? Use foresight and stab that b*stard to death before they do!

Warning! Foresight cannot be used to prophecise the future and cannot be used to read other people's minds.]

Before I notice, time has passed by and the carriage has stopped in front of the majestic entrance of the 'Snow Wind Family'. I find it weird that we have stopped in front of the entrance normally I am supposed to pass through without a stop. I gently push away the curtains and ask the carriage drive what is going on.

"Young Miss... there are some kids in front of the entrance begging to meet the City Lord to report something to him. I apologize for the inconvenience we will move them away as soon as possible." I listen to him and look up to see two children my age throwing a tantrum as the guards won't let them in.

I hear them yell things like "Let us go!" and "We must see the City Lord. It is important." I used my newly gained skill on them to see whether they were saying the truth or lying. The result? They are telling the truth and it must be very important.

"Call the children to me. I want to know what they want to tell the City Lord." I order the carriage driver and he does what I say.

Standing in front of me were slightly skinny and dirty children my age with solemn eyes. Yet those solemn eyes held a certain determination, a light that was shining through the solemness.

"Please bring us to the City Lord, Young Miss. We really have to tell him something important."

"Sure. Enter the carriage. I will bring you to them."

My few words stunned the guards, carriage driver and last but not least the children. Nevertheless, I don't pay much attention to their reactions however amusing they were and open my carriage door to let them in.

"But Young Miss..." The carriage driver tries to block them from entering before I order him.

"Let them in."

Finally the carriage driver gives up and the children enter the carriage and sit down, before the carriage starts moving again. The children stays still and quiet as the carriage moves. However this quietness soon came to an end.

"So tell me what is so important that you wanted to tell the City Lord personally?" I ask inquisitively with a curious yet joking voice.
