First location

It is to note that having a ROB system is the cheat of cheats. The staying in character rule? Not needed. As if those willful ROBs can stay in character for a whole life time. That's why when a ROB enters a body it is carefully prepared beforehand. After all it might be a game for the ROBs but it is indeed a real world.

So it was not hard for Chen Feng Mian to get used to her new environment. She did not need to worry all too much about staying in character and could just be herself while getting to know the world around her.

Being surrounded by a loving family and servants who have known the body for so many years, it was not difficult for her to like her new life. Even more so since she had no regrets about her last life. She was mostly looking forward to rest and enjoy being a child again. Sleeping in, eating good food, being given everything she wanted and playing all day.

Alas her expectations were not fulfilled. Besides the first day she could sleep in, the daily routine of a major family's young lady kept her busy. After all a good habits had to be enforced early in life and a stable foundation had to built before getting influenced by the outside world. Especially when that young lady is to become the wife of the future City Lord.

The last two days she could play around and sleep in because she had other responsibilities to tend to like visiting her fiancé and meeting with the aides. However these were the only times she could spend her time "freely".

And so Chen Feng Mian had to take multiple medicinal baths to awaken her potential. She had already been taking those baths since the minute she was born but as she got older the frequency at which she could take those baths also increased because her body could handle more baths. In major families, it is common for the descendants of the main branch to take medicinal baths frequently until they are 10. This was to allow them a strong physique and give them a head start for when they attend the Holy Orchid Institute. With this much attention, it did not come as much of a surprise that these children were stronger than the others.

Besides taking multiple medicinal baths, Chen Feng Mian had to wake up at dawn to cultivate. It cannot really be considered real cultivation as it was considered more of an exercise for later on. She was not expected to actually cultivate instead she had to feel the various parts of her body and the flow of her soul force. This would later on make her more familiar with her body and allow her to make progress more easily once she starts cultivating next year. It also allowed her to get to get used to waking up early in the morning to cultivate. Thereby creating a routine for her to follow later on.

The pseudo cultivation was followed by a weekly etiquette class from her nanny. Etiquette had been ingrained into her bones the moment she started walking. The weekly etiquette class was only to ensure that she was on the right path and to remind her of some practices that were not used on a daily basis. Breakfast was usually eaten during etiquette class.

Life as a rich child was harder than anticipated. She barely had time to explore her new system. However this was good as well. She never liked not being busy. In her opinion, nothing good has ever happened from boredom.

Alas a week had passed and the aides had prepared three places for her and Ye Han to visit. And to be honest each place sounded interesting. As an avid reader who had read way too many light novels and mangas for her own good in her past life, she knew that those spots were potential places for the plot to play out.

And so early in the morning, Ye Han together with the aides arrived in front of her home to pick her up. Being awake this early resulted in her sleeping through the whole journey to the first place.

The first location was a huge empty plot with nothing close to the eastern most edge of Glory City. There were no aristocrats in sight, only commoners. It was quite removed from the center of Glory City and was not even close to the City Lord Manor. It was surrounded by fields of crop.

It was a weird sight for Chen Feng Mian. The buildings seemed old. Much older than the buildings near the area where she lived. It was a good sign. If buildings could get this old in this part of Glory City. It meant that there were no beast attacks. This was the selling point of the plot.

However it brings up the question why no aristocrats live in this area. After all, a place that was not affected by beast attacks would be quite valuable. And yet they were nowhere to be seen. Ye Han also seemed confused at seeing how removed this place was from aristocrats.

Seeing the confused expressions of their Young Master and Young Miss, Ye Mu spoke up.

"This is the first location we wanted to bring you. It is close to the crops and many commoners live in this area thus making the supply of food no issue at all. As Young Miss and Master can see there aren't any notable families in this area. The reason being that there is no trade going on in this area. People living here are farmers directly employed by the City Lord and other major families. Therefore the farmers see no need in selling their products to other people and the ones that do have long standing trading partners. They are very self sufficient and don't mingle with others. Families that live here have lived here for centuries. There are rarely any newcomers. Therefore merchant aren't interested in this area."

Both children nodded at the explanation. As Chen Feng Mian, this is an excellent place for a plot point of the story. A town that rarely welcomes newcomers. Isolated and self sufficient. No beast attacks. Families that have lived in this area for centuries. If this did not scream mystery and conspiracy plot, she did not know what else would qualify.

She approached an older man dragging back a cart full of crops.

"Excuse me Uncle. Could you tell me why there is nothing built on this huge plot of land?"

Seeing a cute little girl ask him a question, the old man replied. It certainly helped that she was wearing expensive clothes and the two men possessed an aura that told him that they were men to be reckoned with.

"Young Lady, I do not know why. Nobody does except for the elders of this town. The only thing we were told since we were kids is that we should not go there."

After he finished explaining, he left quickly with his cart.

Without a moment of hesitation, Ye Heng said "Young Miss, this plot has been in the possession of the City Lord Manor for years. Unless the City Lord allows the use of this plot, nobody is allowed to even enter. Until now, no City Lord has found use for this land and nobody developed it. The City Lord would be willing to sell it to you for 100'000 demon coins."

"What do you think about this, Ye Han? 100'000 demon coins for a big piece of land like this is quite cheap. We would be able to build a big orphanage and big school as well." Chen Feng Mian asked Ye Han.

"I believe we should visit the other two locations before making our decision." He replied while staring at the empty land.

He too felt suspicious about this but he didn't know what exactly triggered this suspicion.

Chen Feng Mian smiled and hooked her arm with his and agreed "I was thinking the same. Let's go to the next location."

Whether or not they built an orphanage on this plot, Chen Feng Mian knew that she would return and solve the mystery about the easternmost town of Glory City.

However she sensed that she would need to grow a whole lot stronger before she could return.
