34 Shopping & Date

Sona looked with a twitching eyebrow at the chessboard, once again she was close to winning but then he out of nowhere started checking her!

"How in Satan's great name are you doing this!?" She pointed with her finger at the board.

By this point, she sounded like a small girl who got her favourite toy taken.

"This time I allowed you to believe that I am falling for your scheme while in truth I was positioning my pieces into the right places." He took his King piece and swirled it between his fingers.

The Devil Heiress' mouth slighly opened then closed, she didn't know what to say to him.

Was she really, that predictable? The black-haired girl quickly shook her head, no she is not! She can count the number of people on her hand who can beat her in chess!

"Anyway, Kaichou. I have a date to go to. So, I will see you on Monday." Alex said as stood up from the couch.

Sona could only snap from her shock of losing again, she, of course, wanted to challenge him once more.

But, as he said he has to go somewhere…

*Sigh*

"Fine, you two can go." The Student Council President motioned for them to leave.

Julis would want to smirk at the expression the Devil Heiress had, the only reason she did not do that was because each loss made the Devil girl more interested in her boyfriend.

Still, she loves to see the proud girl eat the dust.

After leaving the school grounds Alex and Julis started walking towards the shopping district, this was a good moment to stock up on clothes for the dungeon.

He was running low on those and same time Julis' Needle bought some for herself now that she dives with him.

"You should allow her to win sometimes, otherwise she might do something... unreasonable," Julis said from the side as they were walking slowly towards the shopping district.

"I was thinking of doing that, but each time I see her smug face I simply can't stop wanting to win," Alex said with a casual shrug.

Julis sighed, that was so Alex…

"Nonetheless, we should not antagonise more than necessary." The pinkhead said more or less out of her desire to make Sona less interested in him.

Not that it would change anything, as the Sitri Heiress' attention is fully on him as it is.

Still is a sour thing for the Pinkhead, which is why she will continue to mention it.

"I am not, if she was slightly more humble I would have 'miscalculated' my moves." He casually explained to her.

"And then she would have picked it up…" Julis said with realisation.

A sigh escaped from her lips. It was inevitable that Sona would be attracted to him…

Eventually, both of them arrived at the shopping district instead this time they went to the Shopping mall.

Both of them went to a clothing store first thing, the pinkhead was pretty much reading Alex's mind on this as it was his first she thought when they crossed the entrance doors.

Once more they decided to get some sports clothing, only this time Alex checked if they were more resistant to wear and tear.

The same was with Julis who was in the girls' section she was like a woman on a mission.

Wearing the same clothes for months was something she didn't want to do again!

Yet she has to include the fact that they can't buy too many!

People will be going to question where all those clothes are gone.

And they can't just say that some horse-sized wolf or a Truck-size Boar busted them!

Same time they are using their family cash so it's a balance they have to find…

Around half an hour later both of them bought 40 sets of clothes in total.

Alex got 15 and Julis got 25…

The pinkhead Princess took more for obvious reasons, and Alex is not someone who will question it.

After buying their clothes the couple went to explore more of the mall, and they checked pretty much every single store in this place.

From manga store to posh shoes one, not that Julis bought any of the shoes, the beauty just snorted seeing them, as someone from Asterisk saw shoes which are beautiful looking AND battle worthy!

So, no. A casual look later they progressed further until they saw a recently opened Ice cream store.

Once they got their ice cream they took their seats at one of the available tables.

That moment Alex pulled out his other phone, not the one with the APP, but the old school one with the flipping function and all that stuff, which was famous before 2010...

He opened it and went to his emails…

"Oh, right! You need to answer those emails! Otherwise, brother will come over here personally!" Julis just realised that their parent will start breathing at the back of their necks soon enough if they don't do something about that!

*Sigh*

"I know that's why I am cooking up excuses, from cultural shock to busy school life…" He said with a sigh, such lies come quite easily to him, he did this before when he had to binge-watch some animes and forgot to do some homework…

Julis slightly raised her eyebrow hearing that, she doesn't remember that from her memories, Alex she remembers would have said something like 'I forgot' or something else.

'So, the honour student is THAT sly…'

The Pinkhead remembered how he came up with that nonsense which Sona Sitri believed...

A few minutes later Alex showed her what he had written to his parents and her brother.

"This... is impressive! I can even feel emotions behind these words…" To say that his girlfriend is impressed is an understatement!

If she was not here watching him write this then she would believe this without a doubt!

Seeing how she reacted to the e-mail Alex could only puff his chest!

It has been years since he used his talent to write excuses…

It would seem he still has it.

After reading over the e-mail the pink-haired Princess gave him back his old phone, he sent it over a few moments later.

Once this was done both of them focused on eating their ice cream.

Even in such a relaxing place, Alex was still thinking about how to get his hands on some guidebooks on how to work with forge and leatherwork.

For now, he decided to check the Bookstore in the mall, he doubts they have any books on that but he still needs to check it out.

And if they don't have anything then he will use his family resources to get it.

Most of his family members will think that it's another of his quirks…

He can always push this on the fact that he is interested in Japanese Swordsmanship and wants to compare Western with Eastern…

Once their small break was done the couple went over to the bookshop, it was slightly bigger than the one they checked before.

Alex spent around an hour checking the books and if he could find anything of use.

The only thing which he found of some use is a history book on how the famous Japanese swords the Katana evolved over the ages and their craftsmanship.

It was the only thing he could find so he bought it.

That leaves only one way to get what he wants and that is to use his family resources.

Or spin the wheel, but that's just trying to set something which has less than 0,01% chance.

It's ain't gatcha which makes certain items more available than others.

He could rearrange the wheel but that just going to take time…

After buying the book Alex and Julis decide to return home as it started to get late as they wanted to finish their homework and have a relaxing Sunday after.

Well, somewhat as it was quite a big day for Alex he might be going to get a Longinus gear if everything goes as planned.

Alot of things depend on how competent is Raynare…

When Alex and Julis returned to THE Dungeon they started to focus on balancing out Julis' stats.

First, they tried to spar, but Alex's abilities and mentality were not there anymore.

He was tuning his abilities into purely killing things, not something he wanted to use against his girlfriend.

Most importantly they noticed that sparing among themselves gives a below-average increase in stats.

So, an alternative was needed…

Which was adventuring, fighting and slaying monsters.

It did make sense since Falna was created for such a purpose, it worked best in Orario since it had the dungeon.

That's probably why Alex's method of gathering tickets manifested as a dungeon.

It made sense and it was somewhat humbling for the teen as if he had something else than Falna then how would it have manifested?

Nonetheless, Alex had to fight his urge not to allow his beloved Waifu to fight Wolves on her own.

But, the girl is stubborn and she puts her foot down, in battle situations Julis Asterisk's side takes over and she becomes a stubborn witch.

Alex could only sigh and accept the fact that he has to allow her to fight lots of wolves to increase her stats at an acceptable pace.

Still, because they are together in THE dungeon the number of wolves they had to face was over four times the regular pack.

So, what the teen did in this case was simple, he slaughtered the majority with his Lightning Force.

And allowed Julis to fight a much smaller number, for this case, she used her white flames from her Sacred Gear to create a flaming rapier.

This is where Alex saw how good she was at fencing…

She did extremely quick work of the remaining wolves.

Nonetheless, she did get grazed multiple times which flipped Alex and he slaughtered the mutts faster than they could realize what was happening.

Julis was happy and annoyed at how trigger-happy Alex was the moment she got slightly hurt…

He did get over that after a couple of months in the training…

"I think this is enough for this dive Alex," Julis said as she turned off her rapier created from pure flames, she then stretched slightly, she was mentally tired, sweaty and in need of a good shower.

The pink-haired Princess still wonders how on earth she is still sweating if she doesn't consume food or water!?

"Yes… I suppose this is enough, we did spend half a year balancing your stats out." Alex said thoughtfully he had half a year to get over the fact that he was allowing someone to die.

So he stopped caring about the fact that Issei would die. in the end, he will be resurrected and will be living his 'dream' and it's the pervert's fault that he couldn't understand that no sane person would go out with such over top pervert... so, casually…

It took around a few weeks for them to return to a safe house where they hit the sack and fell asleep immediately.

The next morning they experienced a slight migraine, that's where the Falna upgrade comes into play…

Alex first upgraded Julis Falna…

His eyebrow slightly twitched seeing her stats…

'Shonen girls are such cheats…'

"Yes, your ability is quite… groundbreaking," Alex said with a sigh.

Maybe he should use more of his emotions then? Maybe start remembering his eighth grade all over again!?

"Don't say that! It's embarrassing!" Julis said with a red face she became self-conscious after gaining this world's Julis' memories.

She is embarrassed having the ability with such a name! Not only that she knows why she manifested such power!

"If you say so…" Alex handed over the status sheet to her while he upgraded his own…

Nonetheless, today was the day…

He looked through the window for a moment, remembering when the supposed date was supposed to start.
