Getting More Stuff from Lottery Wheel

After asking around for a bit in the shopping district, Alex and Julis found themselves in a simple diner.

It was nothing special, and to be perfectly honest, they didn't care much about being posh as they were just way too hungry.

The food was alright and it was not expensive.

After that, they went up to the clothing store—or, well, more like Julis dragged him to the store even if he was already willing to go.

After picking up several different types of gloves, Alex got multiple other exercising clothes, and even Julis was not holding back when she remembered that fancy inventory of her boyfriend's.

Once the shopping for clothes was done, the both of them went to the bookstore.

And this was where Alex was disappointed with what he had found—or, more specifically, what he did not find.

"I doubt you can find a book on leatherwork in such a regular store," Julis said with a sigh from his side.

"And there's an even lesser chance of finding a book on how to refine the bones of prehistoric animals." She looked at him with a deadpan.

"Well, it was worth a try." He shrugged and ignored her deadpan look, and, instead, went towards the encyclopaedias section.

'Heh, maybe there is something on vegetation… Still, that place is a megafauna… maybe a book on ancient faunas instead…' Alex, who was in deep thought, walked over and read the covers of the books.

While Julis walked over to the other side and went over some books on modern historical events.

She has read some that she got from Alex, but it was more or less just to know the basics, and now she wants to know more about certain events.

So far, the past has fascinated her. She remembered that there were close to 200 countries in the world! Nearly all of them are unique in some way!

This Earth was so different from hers! Where only corporate entities at the top were leading the world.

'I suppose my birth world didn't properly recover after the Invertia…' She thought with a sigh, only now did she really see the difference between this Earth and hers.

'For holidays, we should go to old places like Rome or Athens…' She thought with excitement. Before realising that it was a bad idea…

'Or not. Since the Greek Gods are still around...' The pink head frowned upon thinking of that.

'Maybe, they are not that active…?' She thought hopefully.

Still, she picked up some magazines on holiday destinations with ancient places in mind. And, knowing Alex, he would like this idea a lot.

After shopping for some more books and storing them in Alex's inventory, Julis and Alex then decided to explore the shopping district and ended up in a miscellaneous store.

Once again, Julis observed Alex and what he was buying. She saw him take a few duct tape and some sharpening tools…

She could understand why he could be taking those, and can even see that he was, in fact, taking the dungeon very seriously.

And while Alex was checking his stuff, he was thinking of what to get for his beautiful girlfriend.

None of the stuff he saw piqued his interest, he saw a jewellery store before, but that was so cliche that he even cringed internally.

The trinkets may look nice and all. But, it doesn't have any other uses…

That's when he remembered that he still had a few rolls left on his Lottery Wheel.

So, when no one was looking, he called forth his phone, went to R.O.B's app, selected the Lottery Wheel, and then selected the white tickets.

Moments later the wheel glowed white and he saw the prizes on it.

He cringed when he saw the prizes. The common stuff was so trash compared to the other ones that it was painful to look at.

Still, as long as the item was not part of the supernatural, it was not so bad.

Like, for example, several different guns, a Ford Mustang… even a yearly subscription of Shonen Jump, followed by a new PS3…

'Right, it's 2008...' Alex released a tired sigh, each time he remembers the year he is in, he feels an extra year older…

'Well, let's see what I will get…' without thinking much, he pressed on the spin button.

[You Got: A new AK-47!]

'Right… I wonder how long regular bullets will continue to help me in a dungeon like mine?' He deadpanned for a second and pressed [OK].

He then went for another spin…

Once more the wheel turned white and this time Alex didn't check the prizes in detail, instead, he just pressed on spin.

[You Got: World Travel Ticket(Common)]

Alex stared at the prize that he had just received, he didn't know how to react to that.

Should he be happy that he got a chance to visit another world, but what kind of world will come from a common rank ticket?

Some school drama nonsense?

He hummed at the thought, he might use it when he wanted to escape from the insanity which he calls his life now.

He has only been here for two days, but he is already on the radar of a Satan-class being, Alex does not doubt that Sona's big sis already knows about him.

Plus Sirzechs… who is just behind the corner of Sona's big sister, after all, he was the one who invited him to Kuoh Academy.

'Still got two more tickets, let's see…' Alex pressed [OK] and selected the last white ticket.

Moments later he pressed the spin button.

'Come now… give me something useful…'

*Groan*

'Seriously… that's just…'

Alex just pressed [OK], before selecting the last remaining ticket he had, an uncommon ranked one.

The Lottery Wheel turned green, and Alex inspected at the prizes he could get with this ticket.

To his surprise, there was quite a bit of supernatural stuff; tomes, and even Sacred Gears…

Well, the Gears were quite rubbish—Twice Critical...

'Now, I wonder if I could get Booster Gear or Divine Dividing from this? Would that mean a third Dragon Emperor? Or would the app just rip it off from Vali or Issei?'

Alex curiously thought before pressing on the spin button.

"Damn…" Alex softly muttered. He smirked, realising this will be a great gift to his Waifu, maybe later she will even teach him some trick from the book.

Being taught by a pretty girl is always better than from a book.

After pressing the [OK], Alex pocketed the phone and started to look at the stuff once again.

In the end, he was satisfied with his spins,

'Hmm, I will check the white world travel ticket later. Shopping first.'

After returning from shopping, a bunch of homework awaited them.

Once they were done, Alex pulled out his phone and went to Card Deck and summoned a certain green card.

"Julis, this one's for you." He handed it over to her.

The girl in question looked curiously at the item.

Once she read what was written on it, her eyes widened.

"A book, written by Merlin himself!?" She asked with a slight awe, even in the future, Merlin's myths were still well known…

"A copy, more precisely. This will help you to learn the basics of magic." He explained before smirking at her.

"I was thinking of what to get for you, I felt that a book on magic is better than some trinkets we can get in the shopping district."

Julis slowly nodded at that, a book on magic was much better than some kind of trinkets!

"Thank...you…"

She then realised that she didn't even get anything for him! And they even went on an abrupt date of sorts!

The girl wanted to kick herself. Even with all that excitement, Alex remembered to get something for her.

"Don't mention it, I am sure we will find some use in this book."

The Pink Princess has no doubt. She might even be able to learn how to recreate the fire arts she used to use with her Prana before the incident.

"So, how do I use this card?"

"Focus your intent on it, that's how I did it," Alex explained casually.

"Huh, I see. So, that's how you summoned me, you just intensively gazed at my image…" Julis teased him back for all those times he called her tsundere.

"Not going to lie, you look stunning in the Seidoukan uniform." He answered back to her teasing with a straight face.

"You should already know that I like you, such casual teasing will not work," Alex said with a growing smirk, as he saw her cheeks turning crimson red.

"Y-You! I will get you back for this!" She turned away from him and focused on her card, moments later, it started to glow green and then shattered into multiple shards which then rearranged and expanded in size.

Eventually turning into an ancient several inches thick book with yellow pages.

Julis forgot all about the embarrassment and very curiously checked out the book, her eyes sparkled with curiosity as she opened it.

The awe only grew when she saw that the book was handwritten!

As someone who comes from the future, even seeing a printed book is a rarity. Yet, she now had a book written by hand!

And soon enough, Julis disappeared into her little world.

Alex could only smile seeing that.

'Yep, best choice ever! Not only will she grow stronger but she will also be enjoying it.'

While Julis was busy with her new read, Alex pulled out all the stuff he got stored in his inventory.

He needed to sort everything out…

He found that most of the items were stackable, which was an amazing find

Otherwise, he had to store stuff in different backpacks, or something like that.

After sorting his items out and taking Julis' stuff to her room, Alex tried out the new loadout function.

And with a flash, his clothes changed into the rags he had worn in the dungeon.

And at the same time, he felt a familiar weight appearing on his back and hip.

It was his bow, quiver of arrows, and the mace.

First, he took his weapons off, followed by his rags, then he dressed in new and simple exercising clothes.

Yet, Alex was doubtful that these clothes will last long, he just had a feeling that the Dungeon wanted him to do things by himself, and that is why he was getting crafting materials to begin with.

Not that he even has any idea on how to craft stuff, the book store was a bust, and he had a higher chance of finding a book in English in a Japanese book store than a guidebook on tanning a hide…

'Guess I should check Amazon… Wait! Was Amazon even a thing in 2008?' For a second, he frowned.

'I can check that later.'

For now, Alex changed his clothes and then focused on the quiver of arrows.

He counted them, he remembered that he had fried one when he practised his Electrical Empowerment, and the other two…

'I shot two at those wolves… does that mean it is still stuck in those wolves? But, didn't I kill one of them? Will the bodies of those wolves disappear?' For a second Alex thought about the events of last night.

He didn't have a lot of chances to see the wolf corpse…

As it is, he still had 27 arrows…

After checking the arrows, he then checked his bow.

It was a simple Yew Longbow, he inspected the sides and inspected if there were any cracks or signs of wear.

'This is quite impressive, even when I use my empowerment the bow is still solid!'

'No wonder the English nearly owned France in the hundred-year war, it's all thanks to these bows!' Alex marvelled at the bow for a second.

He could feel how natural it was for him to use a bow.

'I guess it's the Marksman Skill. It's on the lowest level, and, yet, it's already helping me hold the bow naturally as if I had for decades.'

After inspecting the bow, Alex put it back and focused on the mace.

His face got slightly stoic when he saw the bloodstains on it.

'So, even that got carried over…'

He glanced back at the rags in the corner of his room.

There was some dried up blood there too.

'Yeah… I'm cleaning that first, then sharpening the arrows…'

'I guess there is no training for me today before I go to the dungeon.'
