50 Dragon Thunder

As nighttime arrived it was time to return to the dungeon. Alex was unable to access it last night. So he was feeling slightly strange as he missed an opportunity to get stronger.
"Since we are here let's start with your maximum output," Albion said to his host as they left the stone house.
"We need to check if there were any changes. Your fighting style is all about precision and speed. So you can't lose your synchronisation of those two elements."
Alex nodded at him while Julis was standing a few steps away with crossed arms. She wants to see if he will need to retrain that synchronisation since he has a dragon heart now.
The blood flow is different which means mana flows differently not to mention it's not plain lightning mana but dignified lightning mana. Different characteristics.
And so, the black-haired teen started the process that he is familiar with.
However, he noticed that there was a lag at the beginning and it needed to build up so he tried to adjust, however, it was not as easy.
Julis and Albion noticed that there was a fluctuation in his mana and the output.
Which collapsed soon enough.
"It appears we will be spending some time retraining." The floating dragon said with an obvious voice.
"Yes, it appears so. Doing hand blades is so much easier."
"That's because it's your favourite technique. And because your arms are the most used limbs. The same can't be said about your other muscles."
Alex nodded at his partner and proceeded to try again.
This continued for some time as the teen tried to get a feel for it. He was testing out the dragon affinity which was emerging in his mana.
From the looks of it is becoming far less…chaotic. He is far too used to the chaos of the lightning flow.
Does this mean he is expecting chaos but what he gets is an avalanche?
Dragon's brute strength simply smashes through his control. So instead of being flexible, he needs a more steady resolve?
With this new mentality, he tried it again.
And it was better, then he tried again and again.
Until he was able to fully display his full output without worries.
"Hahaha! I knew it!" The Vanishing Dragon flew over and inspected his host. Alex could see that his blue aura had a tint of white…
"The dragon affinity has partially stabilised the chaotic nature of Lightning!" Albion explained more as he sniffed Alex who was feeling weirded out. The White Emperor is a dragon, not a dog. Why is he doing that!?
Forgetting about it the teen thought about what the Dragon Emperor said.
He then noticed it as well. It's less chaotic as it has more raw power behind it. Like adding liquid into an electrical current? Does it even make sense?
"Hmm…does it mean he can still learn other elements?" Julis asked with a hopeful tone. She doesn't like that her boyfriend will end up one trick pony…not that she can say anything about herself since she once again is tied to Fire…
"There is a high possibility for that. However, I can safely say that he will be able to cast Dragon magic once the affinity gets stronger in his blood."
The pink-haired girl slowly nodded and then started to think from a different perspective.
"Does this mean he could use your Divide without the Sacred Gear?"
Her question made him think for a bit, while Alex proceeded to train for a bit. In this max output form. He decided that he needed to master this form so that he wouldn't embarrass himself in the future.
"Possible. The issue is how much mana one needs to use such a technique."
"It's not a spell?"
"Semantics, technique, spell, move doesn't matter. All of them use energy to make it happen. Anyway, the issue with my move is that you have to use some energy to divide the incoming attack and then absorb the half that has been divided.
This is just an example, while sounds extremely easy it's not for a short-lived human to learn it and use it in combat. It's different for us Dragons. However, with the way, we are, with this dungeon. Partner could potentially learn to use it without the Sacred Gear."
"I see… in the end, it's the mastery over the energy is it not?" Julis said as she realised how this worked. One could say that it is a technique and not a spell.
But that's just her being concerned about classifications…
"Indeed! It's the precise energy use, extremely precise energy use. I am quite opposite to the Red One in this regard, this is why I think Alex is the perfect partner for me in this regard. I still think that using emotion to boost one strength is quite a boring technique."
Julis slowly nodded when she heard it.
"So Ddraig's Boost Technique uses emotions to boost fighting strength?"
Albion simply shrugged at her.
"Maybe? He never revealed it to me, but I have my suspicions."
'Interesting… this place is far more flexible with its powers, there are so many types of energies to work with…'
Julis was thinking about how unpredictable this place could be. Like if you work hard on something it can lead to an array of crazy things. Her boyfriend developing his crazy Lightning cloak empowerment and synchronisation is the prime example.
But then again he is crazy to try it.
'Hmm… well, I should return to my training as well, since we will be staying here.'
And so, Julis went back to do her thing. Trying to recreate her old techniques.

Alex was far too busy to check what was the time this time around. So he was clueless, however, he got quite a few gains in his new training.
To check the progress in a greater fashion he upgraded his Falna.

'I guess this training was a success. I feel like shit, I forgot to check my time, and now I don't know how much time I have wasted!'
Alex frowned as he checked out his progress, he did see that relearning the whole mana with his Bio-electricity made him react to a new level of power. However, this was only possible because he made the blood flow go into overdrive, the mutation process most likely is quite a high percentage, This is something he needs to check, but first…
He was annoyed that Albion predicted that the colour of his new lightning was indeed white.
It's like he saw this kind of stuff before. Not that it matters, the most important thing is that he now packs a punch!
He tried it out on the trees! As always!
Arcs of white lightning slammed into a branch turning it into a charred black mess.
There was a certain satisfaction seeing such a thing. For Alex, these trees were always a milestone. Like how humanity overcomes certain trials and then they add the outcome to their society. Same with him, becoming powerful enough to overcome the sturdiness of these trees and then easily cut them down.
"It appears you are done here," Julis said as she landed next to him.
Alex turned around and saw his girlfriend with flaming wings on her back!
Did she learn how to fly!?
"What? You think you are the only one with the ability to move around?" For a second she teased him with a smirk.
"Not at all. It appears you reached the next level in your fire control." Alex said with an impressed tone. His girlfriend now looks like a fire angel. Superior to any other angels. Well, that is his opinion and no one can change his mind on that.
"It was at least what I could do after seeing you doing all that. You fused two elements into one. At least what I could do is improve my fire control." She said with a huff, not thinking what she did was important.
"I see… Any idea how long we spend here?" He asked the more important question.
"...No idea. I was preoccupied with my training." Julis said while shaking her head. She was a little bit ashamed that she forgot about it. She is always the one who pays attention to smaller things. But not this time.
"It's six months and fifteen days. The months are precisely 30 days… You two don't need to thank me." Albion said to the pair as he slowly floated towards them.
"Six months!?" Julis asked with shock.
"I-I didn't even notice that! This place is crazy!"
Alex had a pained smile on his lips when he saw the sheer shock. This was the first time when his girlfriend simply trained and did nothing else.
"This what I am saying, you get addicted to progress. It's like a gym, only that you SEE progress when you do that, you just continue to do it more and more."
"I don't see the issue. You two are thinking like mere mortals as if you are going to die. You forget that you don't age here physically. You should abuse this as much as possible." Albion chipped in.
"Your power is that you have time. For a human that is an extremely valuable gift. Only humans can abuse it because other species know how to waste time."
"Devils?" Julis asked the obvious, to which Albion answered with a nod.
"Devils."
"Well, I don't mind," Alex said with a shrug.
While Julis simply sighed. And just decided to roll with it.
"Then Albion we can trust you to keep the time? Since we are the ones training."
The pink-haired haired asked the dragon with a smile.
"...Fine… this is the least I can do." The Vanishing Dragon sighed with resignation.
"Still though… You two still have around 6 months. I suggest you continue to practise Reinforcement and full output this way you will increase your training to the maximum. Once you finish those then you can proceed to kill those Monster Rex."
Albion then looked at Julis
"While you, the only suggestion I have is to practise the heat of your flames."
The pink Princess had a thoughtful look for a bit before nodding at him.
"Good then let's get back to work!" The Serpentine Dragon said that as if it's he who is training the most.

A blur of white flashed through a tree branch and the piece of it was cut clean! It was as if the tree was made from paper.
It was Alex who finally mastered Reinforcement. The progress was much easier as his mana became less chaotic and instead it had more substance. This simply made it easier for him to master the strengthening technique.
"Perfect, simply perfect! This makes your foundations extremely sturdy. You can now work on other techniques!" Albion was the happiest about this. Even more than Alex who was inspecting himself.
While Julis was satisfied that the most difficult and dangerous part was done.
Now he can fight on par with the supernatural without even using his Sacred Gear that is.
"What about synchronising Reinforcement with Dragon Thunder Augmentation?" The black-haired teen asked curiously.
"Hmm…"
"Because at this moment I have two techniques I need to be aware of each time I use them."
"Yes, but you reached the point where you can do it with mere instinct. It doesn't make much difference. You could work on this when you unlock Touki. If you do that then you could easily keep up with the best of them. Three energies work together in perfect synchronisation."
Alex slowly nodded as he agreed with the dragon. Especially after seeing his power after gaining dragon affinity.
