14 Chapter 014 Border patrol

Menma woke up after a day's rest. He felt a change in his chakra after the big fight. Upon waking, he smiled.

He thought, "That was one of the funniest fights I've ever been in. I have Byakugan, but I can't use it. If they had known, they would have fought differently. And I can't reveal this to anyone in Konoha; it will put me at even greater risk."

He sighed at his mistakes and their enemy's foolishness. He thought, "They even forgot to use ninjutsu against me. Or I was too fast for them; they couldn't do it. So they thought of me as a target practice for shurikens and kunais."

Menma played music while he rested. He reflected on his performance on the battlefield. He analyzed his mistakes and improvised a better strategy with the help of his mind computer. And jutsus which needed further polishing.

Menma has to go on border patrol with other ninjas. Kakashi, Rin, and Obito are in that group. They are all chunin and above, so they have to participate in the patrol.
