Chapter Three

As we waited in the councils room for the king Kyllan held my hand. He knew that I was nervous. My hand was getting sweaty and I tried to release my hand from his but he wouldn't let me go. After Kyllan told the council what happened he got furious and angry and stormed out of the room. A maid hurried to us and told us that we should wait in the room till he comes back with the king. In the mean time I looked around the room. It had a light brown carpet with mysterious ornaments. In the middle was a coffee table where the name of our kingdom was carved in. Estreia. Ivy hung from the ceilings. It gave a homelike look. I breathed in the fresh air trying to calm my beating heart. The fact that Kyllan sat right next to me didn't help to calm my heart either. I wondered if my hands got sweaty. Maybe he was disgusted holding my sweaty hands? I felt him squeeze my hand and my thoughts dissappeared. Once again I breathed in the earthy scent.

Fairies are creatures who love the nature. They feel comfortable in the woods or just in general outisde walking all alone with no shoes on. Feeling the nature, seeing the nature and hearing the nature.

A woman walked into the room. I didn't even pay attention till Kyllan tugged at the hem of my well his shirt and I quickly stood up and we both bowed down.

"Your majesty."

I didn't dare to look up and look into her eyes directly. She went over to us and all I could see was a beautiful gown. She wore a blueish gown which was rather slim than puffy. I slowly looked up to see the rest of her magical dress. There were dark blue ivy's around her waist going up to her breasts and covering them.

Then I dared to look at her face. Her smaragd green eyes stared back into mine. Freckles covered her nose and parts of her cheeks. A strand of her curly red hair fell into her face and she quickly pushed it behind her ear.

"I heard there was an issue", she softly said. I never heard the queen talk. It was always the king holding his speeches. Her voice sounded so familiar. It was angelic and motherlike.

"I- I saw some c- centaurs", I quietly replied. A frightened look spread across her face but quickly vanished. She motioned to the chair and Kyllan and me both sat down again.

"Explain", the queen said.

"Yes you majest-", I started off but got interrupted by the queen. "Please call me Lesia."

She smiled at my and I nodded quickly. Kyllan placed his hand on my thight and gave me a light squish.

"I was by the river, training. I was shape-shifting since I haven't mastered it yet. I shifted into a rabbit and heard something I didn't think that there were some intruders. Then I felt a strong vibration and quickly hid in my form in a bush and saw how the centaurs trotted to the river. They somehow smelled me and I thankfully could run away."

The queen. No Lesia looked serious. She cracked her knuckles. It was a sickening noise. I bet she was stressed. She looked at me then at Kyllan's hand which was still resting on my thight. I quickly shoved his hand away and smiled nervously.

"Do you remember their faces?", she asked me. I looked into her eyes and I could see anger swirl in them. I shyly nodded. She gave me a quick nod and stood up from her chair. Kyllan and me did the same out of respect. She took the fabric of her gown into her hand so she wouldn't trip and walked towards the door.

"Follow me", she said and walked out of the room. Kyllan and me looked confused at each other. I hurried out of the room and followed her. Kyllan was walking behind me and the queen suddenly stopped walking and turned around. She looked questioningly at Kyllan. "You stay in the council's room", she ordered and Kyllan huffed. I awkwardly mouthed a "sorry" to him and he just shrugged his shoulders and went back to the room.

We walked through hundert of corridors. At the end of one of those many corridors she stopped and opened a door. I nervously walked into the room. It was a bedroom. It didn't look like the bedroom of the queen. Not that I know how her bedroom looks like but it in my imagination it would be way bigger and probably in combination with the kings bedroom.

"This is the guests bedroom", the queen said. I looked to her and she smiled at me. "I saw how uncomfortable you were in this - shirt - and the man touching you." My eyes widened and I aggressively shook my head. "He's not a pedophile!", I nearly shouted. My eyes even got bigger as realization hit and my hand flew to my hand. I shouted at the queen. The queen didn't look taken back but grinned at me. She walked over to me and pushed me further into the room.

"He may not be a pedophile but your cloth is inappropriate. Let me get you a gown", she said. I nervously smiled and she took of to the back of the room. She opened a large closet and I saw multiple gowns hangin there. She took one and some underwears and placed them on the bed.

"Please get changed", she said.

I nodded and went over to the stack of clothes. I stripped of my shirt and quickly put on some underwear and then the gown. I didn't feel uncomfortable being nude around the queen. We were women.

I looked over to the queen and she held a proud smile on her face.

"I need you to spy on the centaurs", she said.

My mouth flew open. Me? Spying? I can't even shift properly! I felt my heart beating out of my chest. I wan't made for this job. I can't go there and spy on them. Sneaking into their kingdom. They would know that I wasn't a centaur!

"I know that this may be scaring for you but you saw them, you can shapeshift into a centaur. Your mission would be to indentify the two centaur and get the information", the queen said. But this still didn't sound right for me

"I can't even shapeshift properly. And to shapeshift into another creature takes a lot of energy and strength only a few can do it and even then you aren't able to keep the form", I replied to the queen. Her eyes began to glow white and I knew what was about to happen.

"You are going to spy on the centaurs", she commanded.

"Yes your majesty", I replied.
