Law and disorder

Chief Joseph Alexander comes into Rising Star for a surprise visit. He brings former students and now his newest acquisitions Nick Tardo and Ryan Davis. Nick not exactly thrilled to be back at Rising Star. Graduating and leaving was just about the best day of his life, but oddly he’s still somewhat interested in how the new guys are doing. The three police talk to Zackiria, while they watch the students in action. It was a full on battle royal. The former students were only impressed with Jacob and Kevin for now. Later that day, a great businessman from Russia arrives at the airport with a large welcome of reporters and star struck multi-millionaire lovers, all there to see Kosh Lugash Lysonikov.

Some time on the weekend Zackiria took the trainees out to the forested area surrounding the east of the city. He simply wanted them all to commune with nature. They meditated and relaxed and listened to the wind and whatever. This was another surprisingly relaxing day, though Zackiria had to keep the rare few awake at times. “This exercise is to build your relationship with the Earth.” he said. “Draw on whatever you believe in and open your mind to it and be one with the world around you. God. Nature. Yourself. Whatever it is, believe in it.” he continued. Not many seemed to take this all that seriously but they did what they were told, trying to seem if they could really feel anything.

Almost two weeks after Tetsu joined, another new face came in. Jessica Luv. “I will help to make you stronger.” Zackiria started his speech “Your sex will not matter here, I push everyone just as hard. I suggest starting with a fighting style that utilizes your natural abilities first. Once you gain more skill we can perhaps move on to something more challenging. We’ll push your limits and build them higher. I hope you are ready to become a warrior.” “Yes.” She said hesitantly. She now had only one question of her own. “Excuse me sir, would it be possible to bring in my brother?” she asked, Zackiria waited as she explained “You see, he’s a bit of an addict and I think this would be great to get him on a better path.” Zackiria simply told her “This isn’t a rehab clinic or some kind of summer spot to hang out, this is a serious facility.” And he walks away. Jessica was a little disappointed but it was a long shot.

Jessica and Tetsu talk to each other for a bit, they don’t seem to have anything in common though except that they are both newbies. They ask each other what they are here for. “Well, I guess I’m here…to prove myself.” Tetsu said “To who?” Jessica asked. He didn’t seem to want to answer the question so she guessed it was a family member. “Ok, you don’t need to answer.” she said. “I was hoping this could help me with…a unique position I’m in.” she said. Tetsu smirked “Seems like neither one of us wants to give too much away.” She giggled a bit as well. “Maybe as time goes by and we feel more relaxed, we’ll share a little more information.” Tetsu said before they parted ways.

The next morning a woman is walking her baby in the park. A man jogging around the large pond and an old man feeds the ducks at the edge of it. The woman says good morning while passing the jogger. A load noise is heard and a red spot hit’s the woman’s face. The jogger goes down quick and hard, blood pooling under his head, the woman screams and runs away, pushing her baby carriage as fast as it will go.

The trainee’s all spent the next day in doing armed combat training, working with foam bats since everyone was too much of a wimp to use real ones. Then two hundred laps in the pool followed by the basic workout set. Everyone was exited and felt this was a lot more than basic. “I need to all to fight for your survival.” Zackiria said “Fight as if your life or the life of someone you care for is on the line. If you have to fight, fight with your all, injuries are more likely to happen if you are worried about being injured so get that thought out of your head. Never start the fight but make sure you end it.” He shooed them off, they had earned their rest for today so Zackiria sent them to their rooms while he did his own sword training. Slicing apples or catching them on the tip among other tricks that took a great deal of time to master. He washed and ate the apple slices after and went to his office. These young people were doing rather well but it still wasn’t good enough. Zackiria knew he couldn’t push them any further but none of them were at the level he wanted them at. None were ready for the next level.

One day, Jessica spent a free hour getting to know her roommate Donna Max. Since they were likely to spend quite a bit of time together. “I asked that Zackiria guy if my brother could join but he turned me down.” she told Donna “But now that I’ve been here a while I know he wouldn’t have lasted even half a day.” Donna nodded “He can be pretty harsh, and the training is downright brutal at times but......Yeah, I have nothing to counter that.” They laugh, even though it’s painfully true, they couldn’t decide who was crazier, Zackiria or themselves. Meanwhile, Jacob was out doing what most saw as Parkour but it was not just for fun but for training as well. He’d bounce between close walls or run up a good six feet before grabbing the ledge and quickly pulling himself up. He cleared another eight foot gap between buildings and kept a fairly fast pace the whole way through. This would increase his jumping height and distance, stamina and strength. It was just one of the things he did on his own.

Later in the afternoon, at the police station. Jack Baker informs his men of the situation. He goes over the basics of how to handle the shooting area and to pray that this is a onetime offence. Joseph comes in and pretty much says the exact same thing except for the praying part, reminding Jack that he is in charge. Jack didn’t really see why it made a difference. Later, the CSI investigate the crime scene. At Rising Star, the group is once again in training. They stand in a big circle and roll a boulder sized ball between each other, it must have weighed five hundred pounds so just about everyone was not keen on catching it, or stopping it. There were no signs of a gunman near or around the park, everyone in the area is questioned. After the CSI team did their job Bobby “D” Demingez, the current mayor, talked to Joseph. “All the newly paved roads and culture festivals and cancer runs in the world won’t fix the bad publicity of a sniper in my city and I want him caught before the next election.”

Cut to Richard, Aldo, Shane and Albert. They sit in a van going over the plan one last time. This was the first real run and they didn’t want any screw ups after all the planning, testing and studying they did. They go into the bank they had parked near, masks on. They pull their guns and demand attention and co-operation. “Le Chiffre, you watch the door.” said Richard to Aldo, then to the teller “Give me what you got sugar, I ain’t got all day.” He hands her a bag as does Albert to another teller, she shakes her head. “Dr. No, we got someone holding out on us here.” Shane comes over pointing a gun at her “Is that right, Goldfinger? Well, that is very unwise of her, isn’t it?” She starts to panic and fills the bag now, Aldo look’s at his watch and tells the group to hurry up, and Albert and Shane head out to the idling van with Aldo right behind them, Richard heads to the door and takes a bow “Blowfeld thanks you for your time.” They all get in the van, the tires screeching as they make their getaway, the first responding officer’s arriving not even a minute too late.
