I watched the drama on Netflix and was severely disappointed by the ending. I then read reviews that the novel ends much differently, so I wanted to check it out. However, I could only find partially translated copies of the novel. Thank you so much for your work on translating this, and I would LOVE to see the entire novel translated. The characters in the novel are just so much more rich and interesting, and the story IS different than the drama. I am disappointed with some of the character choices made for the drama. Feng Zhiwei is a much stronger character in the novel, and does not seem dragged down to the level of defeated girl. I also like that Gu Nanyi is more the 2nd love interest in the novel than Helian. Helian is obviously more of a boy that Zhiwei messes with. I don't know what it would take to get this translation publicized in English, but I would love to help make that happen if possible. I absolutely would buy this novel and read it again and again.

This is me reading when this book. 😂 So riveting! I really can’t say enough about this heart-stirring story and amazing translation. Grateful to have stumbled across this to heal my broken heart over the drama’s bungling toward the end of the series.

This is a beautiful and well-written translation, and I appreciate the translator’s time and effort in being this novel to life for English readers. To be able to convey the author’s original feeling into a different language is no easy task and I am very impressed with the translation so far. Are you able to tell me how many chapters total? Thank you Aristophaneso for picking up this novel once agan and bringing it to life and giving us ( people who doesn’t understand Mandarin ) chance to enjoy it as well . The quality of the translation is beyond any expectation , it’s simply superb 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 , im in love with how poetic and beautiful the story is and how thoughtful the person who translates it , letting us learn something only those who understand mainland chinese would understand . Bringing examples of original chinese ancient poetry or mentioning some geographical or cultural aspects of life which is not common for most of us . And the novel itself is brilliant ✨, it’s completely multidimensional with all what wuxia genre could bring , but its not over the top with cliche of a genre , rest assured ! Novel really brings complexity of human life and the life choices , and the characters itself ... Ning Yi , Feng Zhiwei , Gu Nan Yi , Helian Zheng only to say a few , those people will make you laugh and cry with them, on their journey , what a beautiful ,beautiful story . To all who looking for something decent and definitely deeply touching , please read this book , Im sure a lot of readers would enjoy this novel 💎 And please support person who made it possible for us to read it , his dedication, commitment and absolutely outstanding level of translation deserves our best 💛 Thank you 🙏

This is one of the best books I have ever read! And I mean from world litterature not just Chinese novels. The main characters are truly unique- from the misterious ML to the so sharp, brilliant and cunning FL. One of the female characters ever. The book is beautifully writen and the world building is great! Definitely a must read!!! If you like real litterature mixed with a bit of Chinese fantasY, read this! You will not be disappointed !! ✨

I am telling this because this story is so good and it is such a shame for the readers to not know what happens next (and it is very exciting !). I have hesitated but as the novel is completely dropped ... I will indeed be very happy if the writer here would come back because he updated frequently, had a beautiful writing and translated everything .. if that happens I will delete this commentary :).

Absolutely brilliant! I think this is one of those books that you just want to keep reading. Also the translation quality is great and this is the best translated version of this book that I have managed to find.

Such an amazing story translated so professionally and beautifully. I am so happy I found it! I found out about this novel after watching the tv show. I love the differences in the characters when compared the to the drama but I also like how the tv show filled in some of the details where the book didn't go that deep. I feel the two version complements each other so well. Thanks again for your hard work on the translation!

I really like this story, having watched the TV show I became obsessed with the book, which is quite different to the show. I highly recommend reading this book, plus the translation is the best one I could find online.

Don’t be surprised if there’s no updates for days, the author took a month and a half break without saying before hand or anything about it after the break ended. He doesn’t release based on the schedule. His other translated novel is I Can Turn Into a Fish. Other than that the novel is good.
