Rise of the void prince

"Am I going to die" He thought as he looked at the sky that was dyed red. Raindrops fell on his body which was covered with blood and injuries which looked horrifying. He looked around to see mountains of human corpses. Whether it was strangers or allies, he felt sorrowful as humanity was going to be extinct and he wasn't able to stop it. He felt his consciousness was leaving his body as he couldn't keep his eyes open for much longer. He closed his eyes as his heartbeat rang slower and slower. The only thing valuable on his body that hasn't been broken to pieces seemed to be the silvery, white ring that was adorned on his right hand's middle finger. As his heart was about to stop beating, white light started to appear around him. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Chapter length-1000~3000 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Chapter-1

He smirked as he moved his hand towards the moon and made a movement as if he snatched it.

"This time, I will definitely rule them all"

Then the wind blew through the window making him realize he was half-naked with only his boxers.

"It's so cold"

He looked at his phone to look at the time.

'2042 November 15'

He went to change his clothes since he didn't want to go back to sleep after all that's happened. He looked in the mirror after changing his clothes. He looked about eighteen years old and had a very handsome face. He had black hair and jet-black eyes. He was wearing a black jacket with a white shirt underneath and black jeans.

It was September so it was very cold. He had to jump down from the windows since his room was on the second floor. He jumped down without much effort. He had been trained in martial arts since he was a little kid by his father.

His name was Zhou Li, the young master of the Zhou family one of the top seven families in China.

He jumped over the wall that was surrounding the manor. He looked around and saw no one so he continued to go on his way.

Unknown to him there was a black shadow on the tree that was looking at him.

"The young master, what is he doing at a time like this"

"Should I report to the young miss"

He soon arrived in front of a mountain that had stairs leading up. As you look at it, it felt like it would extend to heaven. It was his childhood nightmare. The only reason why he visits only when his father told him to was also because of this. When he was a child, he would often have nightmares of climbing those exact stairs but they would never end.

The mountain was filled with trees and made you feel that you have returned to nature and the electric lamps that would stretch to the top made it so that it wasn't outdated by the modern era yet. On the top, his grandparents from his father's side lived.

He sighed and took the steps. As he went higher and higher, it became colder.

"I should have worn a thicker jacket"

He had never gone here during the early morning times so he didn't know ow how cold it was during the nights. The reason why he was going to his grandfather was to train under him. When he wants to blow some steam, he would train in martial arts. He could do it by himself but there was this gold pot that was his grandfather who was stronger than even his father who was now the head of the family. In his past life, he would have never gone since he believed that he could do well on his own. He felt that he was a little childish at that time.

After climbing for some time, he arrived at the top. He knew that if he goes into the house he would be warm. After all, his father installed heaters because his grandpa was hell-bent on staying on the mountain.

He went into the house. He didn't knock since he didn't want to wake up his grandma. As for his grandpa, he was going to wake him up.

As he was about to remove his shoes and put them on the rack,

"It's strange seeing you here, Li'er"

"Ahh"

Zhou Li was frightened and looked behind him as he moved away from the spot.

"Ohh, it's grandpa"

"Grandpa, don't scare me like that"

"More importantly, why are you not asleep at a time like this?"

"Oh, I was sleeping but I heard someone opening the door so I came to see who it was"

"Anyways what are you doing here at a time like this"

"You would never come to my place unless your father told you to"

"Did you get a fever?"

"Come here, let me feel your temperature"

"No grandpa, I am not sick. I came here to learn martial arts from you"

His eyes looked at him up and down not believing what he said.

"Try saying that again"

"I think my ears must have misheard"

Zhou Li's eyes twitched a little when he heard that.

"I want to learn martial arts"

They looked at each other without blinking for some time.

"Why are you bothering me with this when you can learn from your father"

As he was about to make an excuse his grandfather stopped him by putting a finger in front of him and said

"Oh let me guess, you were interested in one of the little jewels of the other old fogies"

He looked amazed at how his grandpa had come up with this.

"I was right, your face says it all"

"You were just like me when I was young"

"I had to steal your grandmother from her family to get her, you know"

He had a face as if he understood everything.

Zhou Li scratched his face and decided to go along with it. His grandpa talked about the old times and how he got his wife. He would smack his back and laugh while talking.

Before long, they arrived at the training room and Zhou Li was relieved that he had gotten away from his grandpa's nagging.

There are twelve stages in Zhou family's martial arts and he was in the third stage now. In his past life, he was not able to learn more about martial arts since the great disaster struck and his father died and his grandpa was on the verge of death because of severe disease. But he didn't believe it. He believed that someone plotted against his grandpa and inflicted poison because how could an old monster like his grandpa die because of a disease. This time he was going to change everything. He was able to get to stage five before the disaster struck and the journey beyond that was beyond hard since he had no one to rely on for knowledge,

The details of each level were known to him but the smaller details were not known since both his helper were not available.

But the one who had created it must have created it from scratch. He moved a step to step to the ninth stage with that motivation. Though he was not at that stage now, he was still able to learn many things from that and he could now compare it with the learning he would now receive from his grandpa and improve even more.

He took a stance against his grandpa. He was not going to use all the knowledge and skills he gained from his past life. He was going to slowly show it to his grandpa. It would be weird to see that he, who didn't fight against others would be able to use killing techniques and tricks.

For now, he just wanted to blow some steam and train with his grandpa.

He moved against his grandpa and struck at him but his grandpa easily dodged it.

"Good stance, but move your legs a little farther from each other"

He said as he struck his leg with his walking stick.

"Ouch, it hurts"

Zhou Li said as he held his leg up.

"My teaching is painful gonna be painful, are you up for it"

"Bring it on"
