Rise of the void prince

"Am I going to die" He thought as he looked at the sky that was dyed red. Raindrops fell on his body which was covered with blood and injuries which looked horrifying. He looked around to see mountains of human corpses. Whether it was strangers or allies, he felt sorrowful as humanity was going to be extinct and he wasn't able to stop it. He felt his consciousness was leaving his body as he couldn't keep his eyes open for much longer. He closed his eyes as his heartbeat rang slower and slower. The only thing valuable on his body that hasn't been broken to pieces seemed to be the silvery, white ring that was adorned on his right hand's middle finger. As his heart was about to stop beating, white light started to appear around him. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Chapter length-1000~3000 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Chapter-17

Zhou Li dodged the incoming strikes of the berserk but some still hit him as the snake was berserk and didn't care if it was hurt at the suspense of hurting Zhou Li.

"Should I wait till it wares off berserk mode"

"It should be very easy after it leaves berserk"

"But should I save time or wait till it wears off"

"Hmm"

"I don't want to die and lose a level because of something going wrong"

"I will just wait till wears off"

"Master, it will ware off in 15 minutes"

Zhou Li kept on dodging but the semi-silver snake boss was still a bit fast and hard to predict because of its berserk state and he was still a level 4. So, there were some hits that hit Zhou Li but it didn't amount to much and he was able to heal it off with potions. Zhou Li attacked only when he was in a safe and advantageous position.

After 15 minutes of mostly dodging and seldomly attacking, the berserk state of the snake boss wore off and the snake seemed to be very sluggish and slower than even the bronze boss which he had fought.

__ __ __

"Whew"

Zhou Li wiped the sweat off his face as he collected the loot from the semi-silver boss. After he had collected the loot,

"Where did the snake come from"

"Master, it came out from there"

"The treasure room, no way"

"It was so fast that Chunhua only saw a shadow of it near that room so I may be wrong master"

"Well let's check it out"

Zhou Li went through the cave to the treasure room and when he went inside, he could see piles of coins. Though there were more bronze coins than silver and gold ones.

As he collected all the coins with just a touch.

{Money: 2 gold 57 silver 78 bronze coins}

There were some weapons that he collected as well but he would check them later as his interest was on a scroll that he was holding in his hand. It was a scroll he didn't expect to get. It was an alchemy scroll for a potion that would become useful in the future. Though he had his memories from his previous life, he was not an alchemist, and even if he did remember the potion ingredients if the proportions were not the right amount and with some sets needed for the testing of the potion it would successfully create, it would cost him a lot of resources and he was happy that he had found this alchemy recipe since he could now think of a strategy he could use with this potion in the future. He put the recipe in his inventory carefully.

Zhou Li then went back to the boss arena but the entrance which he had come in had been covered with rubble that had fallen from the cave ceiling. He looked at the entrance which one had to come legitimately. Zhou Li had used a cheeky way to come into the boss arena. Why? He hated mazes. It was not because he couldn't get out of one if he tried but because he might crash the walls to bits and get out if it took long and he wasn't the best at mazes so it would take him a bit long.

"Do I really have to go through the maze"

"Master can buy a map navigation"

"Chunhua will have to warn master to get only one more helping item for the time being"

"If master is going to choose map navigation, Chunhua warns master not to do any more changes afterwards because if the overseer finds out, Chunhua doesn't know how big it is but we will be in trouble master"

"Who is the overseer"

"Overseer is just a name Chunhua made up for the A.I that oversees this game"

"Wait, let me think"

"hmm"

"Ah, yes"

"How could I forget that"

Zhou LI went back in the treasure room and started to knock on the walls to find a hollow space like before and he found it soon after. As the entrance revealed itself after Zhou Li hit it, he went through it and used the torch to light it as the room was a bit dark. The boss room had small cracks which had light coming out so Zhou Li didn't have to worry about holding his torch when he was in the boss arena. As Zhou Li saw light coming out at the end of the cave, he took his torch away.

"Finally, back outside"

He couldn't use the teleportation stone in the cave as it was considered a dungeon.

As Zhou Li was about to take out the teleportation stone to go back, he heard a sound from the monster he had been careful of since the start of the mountain, the Goat.

"Baaaa"

Zhou Li was fast enough to sidestep and dodge so that the goat would not push him off. Because of the sheer power the goat used to come, it almost fell off the mountain. It had almost killed itself. But what it didn't expect was a kick from the human he tried to kill and off to his merry way to the foot of the mountain.

Zhou Li used his teleportation stone to get back to the town and after he had just got to the town a message arrived telling him of the death of the goat.

{You have defeated a (Level 7) Mountain goat}

Zhou Li then towards the blacksmith and finished the quests of the mining quests as well as the next quests in a row since he had luckily run into some of the things needed for the next quests when he was on his adventures. Zhuo Li then went to a house that belonged to the mother of the village chief. For how old she is don't ask or else you would be smacked by a wooden stick and your reputation in the village would decrease. The reason he was here was to take and finish a quest.
