The Dao Plane

Old Yun didn't know whether to laugh or cry! 'This brat only now did he remembered to ask his name.' smiling wryly he looked at the curious youth, some complicated emotions flashed through his eyes as he sighed "You don't need to know about me for now. What is more important to you for now is the scroll in your consciousness."

Hearing this, Zhao Yun became serious as he knew that the scroll in his sea of consciousness is something he should not ignore.

"Firstly, do you know anything about divine world?" asked the old man.

Zhao Yun nodded in response, "I have heard that the divine world is a legendary place where only the people at the peak of cultivation go to."

The old man sighed. 'this child's background is too weak." Sighing he said, "What you know is only the half-truth. Let me explain about the divine plane first. I won't be going too much into detail, as doing so would distract you instead. Just like your world divine world is also a plane. There every living creature is born with divine power. There is no mortal in the divine plane as they won't be able to bear with the rules there. Since ancient times many powerful figures had created pocket realms which blocks off much of the divine planes rule, thus enabling the survival of mortals there. These pocket realms are known as mortal realms, and you can consider them as miniature mortal world. The only difference would be the presence of spiritual and Zhen qi there is countless times more than here. The purpose of these realms is to raise mortal life forms that being subjected to a lowered version of the divine plane's rules are more talented than the individuals from the mortal world. This way these powers can gain geniuses when they break through the realm barrier. Although this act is copying the ascension from mortal world, since these mortal realms are created by an expert and not the existing plane, these geniuses though much in number are still inferior to mortal world geniuses who ascend from here. The reason is that they do not undergo the baptism that mortal world ascendants can go through once they ascend. What is that baptism, I don't know. There is a strange rule in divine world though that appears to be specially targeted at the mortal realm geniuses or rather to every living creature of the divine world. No matter who, they would only be able to attain true divinity when they reach a fourth of their lifespan. For example it is twenty five years old for a human. This rule appears to be in favour of you mortal world residents as you guys can reach that realm at whatever age you want. Unfortunately though, here the inheritance is too low and the void lacks Qi hence snubbing the growth of mortal world residents. Occasionally some geniuses do appear who manage to reach that realm at such young age and they are stronger in terms of strength and comprehension too. Thus once such geniuses appear, there would be bloodbath between the powers. Either the poor genius is killed or is taken in by the victorious parties. No matter the rules, resources or the number of geniuses everything in the divine plane is countless time more than the mortal world and so is the danger but truthfully speaking it is the true start of journey in cultivation. So you have to work hard and reach that realm soon." Saying that the old man glanced at Zhao Yun who was entranced with the new knowledge he had gained.

The old man continued " in divine plane, the peak existences had a hunch that there is a mysterious plane even above the divine plane but since no one in the known history has ascended to that plane, its existence was still the mystery but the emergence of this scroll solved it for me. That plane is at higher existence than the other two. If I define its existence I would say in these word 'if the habitants of mortal plane learn the rules, those of divine plane control the rules then those of that mysterious plane also known as the Dao plane make the rules'. From this one can guess how strong that plane is. There some strong beings are capable of making the mortal realm and the divine realm with their complete rules. This costs them a lot and since all creation there are generally born an adult from heaven and earth and are already capable of making their own rules so in general practically no one does that. But there are exceptions to almost everything in the world. Dao creation sect, also the strongest and the most hidden sect in the Dao plane is the only exception. There founder was a great genius who ascended from all the3 way from mortal plane even before the current known history. As for why there is no record for such thing in either of the planes, there reason is the same for the existence of that scroll, but you need to reach the Dao plane to know about it. All you need to know that it is a crisis, a crisis which if underestimated could lead to utter destruction of the three planes." There was heaviness in the old man's voice as he continued, "that genius reached the apex of the plane and he sensed the crisis. He knew he was not capable of stopping it on his own so he took nine disciples. He with his insights and cultivation imparted to them a cultivation system of nine different paths. First one was cultivation of body, qi and soul. Second being alchemy, third weapon crafting, fourth Assassination, fifth formations, sixth runes, seventh beast cultivation, eighth oracle and finally puppeteer. These disciples excelled in their fields and eventually even surpassed their master in some fields. They were the greatest geniuses one could find in the da plane. Although their master was still the strongest, they were still one of the strongest beings. They formed their own schools and propagated their teaching. They hid themselves though and with their master's capability they were never found out. After all they existed to ward off the crisis that their master had sensed. Their Master, who they respectfully called Dao Master, was still able to sense that it was not enough. He has divided his inheritance among his nine disciples and they had improved in them and even surpassed him but since they were not like him who had paved his own way from a mortal, they were far weaker than him in strength. So he had a daring idea. He knew that it would cost his life and also that the geniuses emerged if any would be still weaker than him but still stronger than his disciples, he decided to create the two realms in his sect. despite the reluctance of his disciples, he sacrificed his own body and soul to create a mortal realm and a divine realm in his sect. with the last remaining strength he accelerated time of the mortal realm and after thousands of years when he last shred of consciousness was about to shatter the realms birthed humans. With his last remaining will he summoned his disciples, informed them of the crisis and asked them to nurture geniuses. With heavy heart the disciples saw their master's departure. They were all filial and continued their master's will. From mortal realm to divine realm and finally to Dao plane, after tens of thousands of years, the first human arrived in the Dao plane. The nine fostered him with everything they can and the human also known as Dao progeny rose to be the strongest person of the plane just after the Dao Master. After his arrival some other powers came from the realms. Without a doubt they were strong. The sect thrived but their number was pitifully low, in just hundreds whereas others had more than hundred thousand. Even with such disparity each and every one of them was capable of dominating the entire Dao plane alone. Despite such power there was oddly no such ambition. The nine disciples were no doubt devoted to their masters so they were willing to even sacrifice their life for his last will, as for others who came from the realms, no matter their strength or character, they had inherited the will of Dao master, who was essentially their creator in a sense. They were strong but humble. They never came out once reaching the peak and continued to raise their strength. At the end the crisis arrived. That was when the Dao Protector Sect emerged to the world. Their strength shocked the plane and numbed the enemies. Not prepared the enemies were repelled. But despite that more than 80% of the Dao plane forces perished. Although the Dao protector sect had causalities, they were still 95% alive. This disparity once again shocked the world. Curiously enough the sect once again retreated into darkness. The powers of the world searched for them for countless millennia but they all failed. With time they faded from existence once again. It was then that the experts of the Dao protector sect gathered for a meeting. They knew that the crisis has only been pushed back not defeated. They also knew that their strength was not enough to face it. They were panicked and also struck with grief after all, the Dao master had sacrificed his life for the future and they could not even face the crisis. It was then that they decided that they needed someone or a group that surpassed their master. Then they decided something that was the greatest sacrifice one can make. They sealed the path of ascension of the two realms in hopes that if they fail they would have a way out." The old man's face was heavy but also filled with reverence as he recounted these events. He solemnly looked at Zhao Yun and continued, "The result of their sacrifice is you"
