1 PROLOGUE

Katherine.

Where am I? Why is it all dark here?

"Hello!"

My voice echoes everywhere.

The aching in my heart makes me fall on my knees as I find myself caged in a black room with nothing but darkness.

"Katty! Katty!" Henry's voice echoes everywhere. My head starts to hurt hearing him cry my name.

"Deep breath!" I tell myself.

A voice distracts me.

"You are going to stay here forever!" Said the voice.

Why does it sound so familiar? I turn around to face my opponent.

"N- n- no!" It felt hard to even talk at the moment.

This can't be happening. The hairs on the back of my neck stand on edge seeing her face. My heart was pounding as she gave me an evil grin.

Her face, her hair, her dress, it all matched me. That's right. She was me! How is this possible?

"What? Did you really think you could save them?" She continued. I shook my head in disbelief. It's like looking at a horror reflection of yourself.

Henry's voice grew louder. He kept calling for me to wake up.

What is happening? Where is he calling from? Why can't I see or find him?

"Henry! Henry, I'm right here! Henry save me!" I cried back for him to listen but he didn't respond to any of my words.

"He can't hear you. You are somewhere where nobody can hear you or see you." Said the other me. I looked at her in horror as she tilted her head and glared at me with that evil grin.

"You must be desperate to get out right? Well, too bad! You're gonna have to stay here so I can take control!"

My heart was racing.

"What are you? Wh- who are you?" I was shaking in fear.

She laughed.

"I am you! Don't you still get it? I am the one who owns this body. You're just meant to stay stuck in this void forever!"

I was running out of breath. Her eyes turned into a pool of darkness as she slowly approached me. I took a few steps back, fearing her sight. Upon arriving closer to me, she tilted her head and whispered in my ears,

"Go to sleep!"

My head felt dizzy, eyes closed shut. I could still hear Henry shouting my name.

"I will take it from here." She said, as my eyes closed and I was pulled inside the world of darkness.. All I see is nothing.
