He looked around and inspected the survivors.

Happier with the increase in levels of the others. Hollow readied he was still surprised by the wave as it began. It appeared just the same as the last one. A tide of wolves, geckos, and salamanders. Interestingly there were no more turtles.

Unable to be concerned with the change in the monsters. Hollow just began to slaughter once more. Grinding exp at an even faster rate as the monster level kept increasing.

Then it happened. To everyone else, it just appeared that a person just disappeared. One second they were there. The next they were disappearing. One after another, it just kept happening.

Hollow was the only person who could see it.

The first boss had appeared.

"Boss incoming" Hollow shouted.

"There isn't a boss yet. What are you on?" Adrian muttered shaking his head. The Wolf blurred towards his unsuspecting body.

Hollow blurred forward using his speed stat to its absolute limit. Without that stat, he would not have been able to catch the wolf. He also noticed that his new body allowed for an increased reaction speed. With those two combined he reached for Wolf quickly [Mana Slash]. However, the wolf managed to respond before the attack landed [Mana Block]

The wolf stumbled back and began disappearing. Chaos erupted as a boss that no one knew existed appeared in front of them.

Adrian just stood there frozen. His red hair waved in the wind. He had almost died, to an enemy, he did not even know existed.

When Hollow finally opened the scoreboard he saw himself firmly in the first place.

Shaking his head Hollow continued his rampage, slaughtering monster after monster racking exp, and pointing up at an incredible rate. More and more people continued to fall during the wave.

It was at this point that the monster's strategy changed. Stella was the first person to notice, "Hollow, there swarming you! Watch out."

Something was controlling these monsters Hollow theorized. Being forced into such close combat he began to use Mana Slash more and more consistently. Its slight AOE damage is probably what is saving me, he reasoned.

Unable to move due to the sheer quantity of disputing corpses and monsters, Hollow panicked as he was pushed further and further to the ground his injuries pilling up.

Without any other options and even a [Inferior Death Slash] unlikely to save him. Hollow had to invent on the fly.

Gathering up all the mana in the area near him, he then attempted to launch it back.

Hollow screamed in frustration as his attempts were unsuccessful. With nearly nothing left in the tank. Hollow drew all the mana he could into his body and attempted once more.

Bellowing out as a mana wave exploded from his body, Hollow watched as the monsters near him were sent flying into the air. Their bodies were eviscerated.
