72 72. Family rules

"Alright Freya, let's go" said Andy and they went to open the clinic for the day.

Before opening the clinic he revised the tiers of potions in the side shop to match the tier system of this country. Strangely now he was selling only medium-tier and high-tier potions but no low-tier potions as his essence heal skill couldn't create such trash medicinal liquid. Andy also added a restriction on potions that 1 customer could only buy 2 potions and opened a separate queue for nobles to buy potions, so they wouldn't have to wait in the queue for days just to buy a potion. The reason for nobles only queue for potions was commoners weren't allowed to buy potions higher than low-tier potions and Andy would be treated as a criminal if he sold them to commoners.

This day after opening the clinic he received many patients from other cities as well who came just to see him and have been waiting in queue for over a day. Also the ratio of noble patients increased compared to last day. Andy also got a case where the patient was severely injured and the people waiting in the queue were kind enough to let him though first. But Andy didn't use his essence heal to treat his injuries, he just gave him a false high-tier potion. Although he couldn't sell the potions to commoners, but as a doctor he could still use it himself to treat his patients.

When Andy was looking at a patient in medical examination room, a tall man with black hairs who looked as if he was is in his late 20s barged into the clinic after blasting away the people in front of the queue and went directly to reception.

"Call him out" said the man with fierce aura. Freya immediately knew he was in a different league compared to her and she couldn't possibly handle him so she immediately informed Andy through telepathy.

"Master Andy doesn't look at any patient regardless of their status who doesn't follow the queue. If you wish to see the doctor, you should get back into the queue"

"Cut the crap, either you can call him out or I will go in myself!" threatened the man.

At this moment Andy came to the reception and glared at this man with hostility.

"You wanted to see me?" said Andy

The tall man sized him up with his eyes with a disappointed look and said

"You have been breaking the rules of the family for the last few days and haven't even declared this business of yours with us, let alone paying the taxes for running your business here. You can either pay the fine for violating the rules and start paying your due taxes or we will be taking legal action against you and this business of yours"

Andy's expression worsened and he asked

"What rule and taxes you are talking about?"

The tall man then took out a document from his storage ring, placed it on the reception table and disdainfully said

"Hmph! take a look at this. As per the Arden family rules, if any member wants to do their own business, which includes clinics and all health services, outside of the family grounds, they need to first register their business with the family and start paying 50% of their income as taxes to the family. But our patriarch is a magnanimous person so he offered you a way out. If you run this clinic in the name of Arden family and only accept patients which we tell you to, then you won't have to pay any taxes to us and we can also waiver the fine for not registering your business with us."

Andy clenched his fist and looked at this man with killing intent. Arden family treated his mother so badly and now they want him to run his clinic for them?

"Master.." Freya looked at Andy worriedly.

"We have long since left the Arden family and have nothing to do with your family, I would suggest you guys don't mess around with my family anymore, or else.. there will be consequences"

"Brat are you trying to threaten the Arden family?! Do you think just because you have the protection of headmistress you can be so unruly?! Regarding you leaving the family, even if a person leaves the family grounds, they are still bound to their family rules and I am not making this up, you can look at that legal document. Since your mother married a filthy commoner her children will inherit her family name not her husband's"

After that this tall man showed Andy a wicked smile and said

"As I said out patriarch is a magnanimous person, so he decided to give you time till tomorrow to decide which option you want to pick. You can either pay a fine of 1000 high-tier mana crystals and start paying 50% taxes from now on, or run this clinic in Arden family's name and only accept patients which we tell you to and finally your last option is.. to spend the next 10 years in prison for breaking the family rules."

The moment this person called Andy's father 'filthy commoner' his fate was set in stone, Andy then took a deep breadth and said

"Fine then, I will personally visit the Arden family tomorrow and give me decision then"

"Hmph! thats better" said the tall man and left.

"Master are you going to.. deal with the Arden family tomorrow?"

"Yes, I will at least teach them a lesson so that they will never mess with me or my family"

"But they are probably doing everything legally, so if you won't comply to their demands, royal family might take action. Even headmistress might not be able to save you then." said Freya angrily, she was shaking in anger.

"Don't worry Freya, tomorrow my dear grandfather will personally beg me to run my business as I please" said Andy with an evil smile.

Freya gulped a mouthful of saliva seeing this side of her master again.

Andy then went outside the mansion towards the main gate, where Raven was still kneeling, her face was looking very unhealthy and pale since she haven't eaten anything or drank any water since she started kneeling here. Andy then crouched down, lifted her face with his hands and said

"Do you offer your body to me?"

"I-I do" said Raven with dry hoarse voice, she wanted to cry due to happiness but no tears came out since her body didn't have much water left.

"Do you offer your mind to me?"

"I do"

"Do you offer your soul to me?"

"Yes I do!"

"Then accept my slave mark"

Andy then placed his hand on her forehead and made her his slave once again.. this time permanently.

"Good, I've given you the key to my mansion, go inside eat and drink something and take a bath. You need to recover your strength for what we are about to do tomorrow"

"Yes master, I will never disappoint you again!" said Raven and went inside the mansion.

"Haah! It wouldn't be my fault for what will happen to Arden family tomorrow" mumbled Andy and went back to his clinic.
