1 prologue end of days

Andra moved quickly down the dilapidated passage with nothing more than a floating blue ball to light his way. Large dark shadows danced across the walls. Passing a large window, Andra stopped and released a long sigh. Beyond the frost-rimmed window, what should have been an empty ink-black sky was covered in layer upon layers of blue lines spreading in all directions, with the garden as an epicenter. Andra's face contorted in a grimace. A cold blue light danced in his eyes.

" YOU WILL DRAG US ALL TO THE GRAVE WITH YOUR INSANITY, OLD MONSTER!" Andra howled at the top of his lungs. With a swipe of his hand, streams of lightning tore through the window, with Andra following close behind. He appeared instantly behind a cloaked figure. Andra's hand shot out like a cheetah and grabbed the individual's shoulder, and the cloaked figure crumbled to dust beneath his palms. Andra's eyes widen in shock. He looked frantically to the sky and instantly, the blood drained from his face. A small wooden branch no more than a foot in length with a vast array of blue runes squirming on its surface hung stationary above him in the nucleus of the extensive formation. Andra's knees gave out from beneath him, and he fell to the ground. A low grand voice flooded his thoughts. " I had no other choice. Seven of us have already fallen. If I acted too late, there would be no hope." Andra's bloodshot eyes stared at the floating stick with overwhelming hatred.

"Energy cannot be created or destroyed, only transformed. That is a fundamental law of the universe and the first thing we learn when we step on the electricians' path. YOU CAN'T CHANGE THAT!" Andra roared." that law doesn't account for us. When we cultivate, we need more and more energy. Well, there is no more energy. The stars are gone, our worlds have been hollowed, and even our sun has gone dark, our people are on their last leg, sons are devouring fathers to reach the next layer." "Your plans are not feasible energy can not be created even with a circuit that covers the universe."

A deep sigh filled Andras mind "if I didn't try, we would still all die, and without us holding this husk of a planet together; it would fall apart."

A low hum filled the air, and the floating branch started vibrating with pure power. Tears flowed down Andra's face, and the voice rang out in his head for the last time."It's beginning. Goodbye, old friend." The mass array of glittering lines in the sky burst out into blue rivers of electricity, and instantly the sky burned blue. Andra gave a small self-deprecating smile and whispered, "It's an electrician's job to lay circuits." as quickly as the lights lit up, they dimmed, and the world was drowned in silence. Then Andras voice broke the silence," No matter the cost." As if a switch was flipped, black cracks filled the universe, and reality itself shattered.
