73 Special Warp Drive

Inside the Migidae, moments before impact with the asteroid, and being engulfed by the giant laser following them, Laani finally delivered a piece of good news.

"Warp drive ready! Jumping now!"

Henry could practically count the grains of dust on the giant asteroid's surface, before it suddenly disappeared from before him, and they were back to open space. But the battle wasn't over.

Although their jump wouldn't be detected for the next few seconds, they had to act quickly.

Henry steered the ship hard left, cutting off the thrusters as he did, and grinned.

"You got your shot, Jhonny! Fire!"

Up in the gun control room, Jhonny opened his eyes as he heard the words. And then he grinned, too.

Working as fast as he could, he redirected all the ships' batteries toward the front before charging the lasers to full power.

And once they were ready, he unleashed the ship's fury.
