89 Making Choices

Although Jhonny would wish nothing more than to get out of this risky situation, especially since it had nothing to do with them, he really doubted he could. There was something that told him that the bird aliens had the means to keep them here, even without the tractor beam they used.

Jhonny had used a lot of threatening words against his interlocutor earlier. But, the truth was, he wouldn't fly the ship over a city if it meant risking the lives of thousands of innocents.

He could hear Henry in the back of his mind, calling him naïve and weak. But he could also hear his mother's voice, telling him that it was wrong, and that there was always another way.

And no matter how much he respected Henry and what he had done for him, he would always listen to his mother's soft words.

"I really would like nothing more than to slither out of a deal like this one. It feels like we are making a deal with the devil…" he said, looking toward Sarah.
