4 04. Already left.
A while after Aiden left the doctors came in and prepared 'Luna' for the night.
Everything was all and well until an hour later when Sophia found herself still awake because she couldn't sleep.
The nurses came back at her call and gave her a sedative but another hour later she still couldn't sleep!
Sophia: "..."
The nurses: "..."
The doctors when they got the news: "..."
[How are we supposed to help you if your body is immune to these drugs?! Is aphrodisiac the only thing that works for you?!]
It was already 1 in the morning when the doctors gave her the strongest sedative they have, the one they typically use for operations, but a stronger version.
Luckily it worked or else they wouldn't know how to answer Mr. Lee in the morning!
Apparently, Luna's body has this unique immune system that made her immune to regular drugs. Though this wasn't the case when she was caught with an aphrodisiac in her body.
At that time her body was fully controlled by the aphrodisiac just her weird reactions of not moving around like a regular drugged person.
Luna's body develops a fast resistance against drugs! For some reason though, the aphrodisiac just didn't make her body develop resistance during her first use. However, she was now immune to this particular aphrodisiac if she were to ever get drugged again with the same aphrodisiac.
When the nurses were administering her regular sedatives they recorded the effects since it was her first time using advanced medicine and all that but when the doctors looked at those results they were mad shocked!
When she first got it her body was almost sedated okay?!
But then- It stopped working!
It was her first time getting that specific sedative!
And yet, her body found a way to stop getting sedated in a matter of half an hour!
They did further analysis on her immune system ASAP to see what was wrong and it took a while so by around midnight they found out that she was already immune to those regular sedatives!
Unlike other rare cases where the person would become immune to the used drug AFTER their first time, this girl became immune to it in the process of getting it for the first time!
The doctors all looked in the direction of Luna's room. They all had the same thoughts running through their head.
[Ma'am, what is your body made up of?!]
After getting out of their shock they discussed and contemplated for half an hour they finally decided to use the strong version of the sedative they use for regular operations since it was the strongest sedative they had available at the hospital at that time, and it also happened to work differently than the regular sedatives.
Chances were she isn't immune to this sedative.
Yet!
They weren't sure if it would work at first but Sophia urged them to use it anyway because she wanted to sleep and get rid of that annoying headache that has been bugging her for a few hours now.
She just wanted a way to make sure that she wouldn't be thinking strange thoughts while she was asleep.
For the first time in a long time, she felt drained and she just wanted to sleep, even if it meant getting drugged which she hated the most.
The doctors and nurses left the room after administering the sedative.
They didn't want to give her any pressure so they only monitored her heartbeat and breathing through the vitals machine that was projected from Luna's room to the doctor's room.
At around 1 in the morning, they saw that Luna's heartbeat and breathing were all normal and calm. They stopped monitoring closely and just asked a nurse to take over the watching job.
They could finally breathe!
Morning rolled along pretty quickly. Around 6 in the morning Sophia was already wide awake.
Sophia: "..."
[Didn't they give me the strongest sedative in the hospital?! Why the f*ck am I awake at this time?!!!]
Her face was still emotionless as ever but after screaming her grievances internally Sophia let out a barely audible sigh before heading to the bathroom to freshen up and take a shower.
Since this was a private hospital room there was a set of hospital clothes on the side that she could change to along with her washed dress from last night.
When Sophia was done with the shower she finally felt free. Her head wasn't hurting anymore nor was she drugged by any sort of aphrodisiac or sedatives.
Her head felt very clear like the quiet after a very noisy storm.
She just got out of the shower and it was at this moment she saw the long mirror at one corner of the bathroom. She saw her full reflection for the first time since coming to this body.
She walked over to the mirror and looked at the delicate body of Luna Grey. Her skin was smooth and healthy pale. Her drenched black hair fell to her waist like a waterfall. Her perky butt and full breasts were also very pretty and mesmerizing.
Especially now that they looked all pink and steamy after the hot shower and the water that was still dripping down her body!
Luna's body was a bit more voluptuous than Sophia's but they were pretty much the same in terms of skin color and very fair straight long legs!
Sophia wasn't used to the sudden sight of the blueish grey orbs. Although it was kind of weird seeing it on herself she was mesmerized.
This was the first time she was seeing such bold eye color! Not counting the ocean blue eyes of Aiden that she caught a glimpse of last night before he left, that is.
Getting out of her daze, Sophia reached out her hand to caress her body through the mirror.
'Rest assured, I'll help you take revenge.'
This was Sophia's promise to the soul of Luna Grey. Sophia didn't know anything yet but she felt that since she was in her body somehow she needed to help Luna before she can take over and do anything else.
Sophia had received the memories of Luna last night when she first opened her eyes but she didn't want to think about anything at that time so she didn't bother herself with it.
She just needed to get away from the group of men at the hotel before she could think about this new life of hers. Now was the time.
Luna Grey.
An 18-year-old girl from the famous Grey family in Angel City. She was abandoned by her family at the age of 10 after her mother passed away.
Funny thing was, she found her mother swaying to the sides with a bleeding head and shaking legs. She watched as her mother stopped breathing right in front of her, right next to the entrance of the house, and yet no one came to help her look after her mother!
She was shouting and crying at the top of her lungs for god's sake and yet not even a lowly servant came over!
When she found her way back to her home she saw her father having fun with another woman in the living room. As they were having fun they talked about her now-dead mother who was still stuck by the front entrance. They talked about how she was such a pushover!
Hah! Luna ran with all her might to come home and tell the devastating news that her mother stopped breathing and get some help, but here in the living room her father and his mistress were talking about how they wished she would just die!
'Were they the ones who wanted to kill her?'
'Did they do that to my mother?!'
She was stuck on the spot right outside the door watching them make out and when they finally came out they found her on the floor.
She was sitting crouched down, her head on her knees and her arms wrapped around them. Her tears were dried but her face at that moment was calm.
Or perhaps the young Luna just didn't manage to fully grasp the things happening around her.
Later that day they 'found' Mrs. Grey dead near the entrance and gave her a proper funeral but Luna was quiet the entire time.
She didn't cry like she wanted to because she felt lost. No one in the family talked about the late Mrs. Grey and Luna also stayed quiet.
She hadn't spoken a word since that day and every few days her father would have the servants force-feed her because she would go on a hunger strike every day.
A week after Mrs. Grey's funeral, a 12-year-old girl was brought in because "'Mrs. Grey wanted to have another child."
She was cheery and obedient more so than Luna who was silently grieving over her dead mother. Luna still went on hunger strikes and didn't speak a word no matter what happened.
She kept her mouth shut.
When Levi couldn't take it any longer he and his mistress Aria decided to drop her off at a faraway orphanage in Niya City.
They didn't even bother with registering her to the orphanage and just left the sleeping Luna slumped against the wall in front of the gates with a bag full of few clothes and key documents of her identity. They left in a hurry right after not caring for the cold night temperatures nor theirs that might take advantage of her.
When Luna woke up early the next morning, she calmly looked at the front gates of the orphanage before walking away from the orphanage.
She was abandoned, but she didn't feel sad. Rather she aimlessly walked about the city on an empty stomach until she couldn't take the hunger any longer and sat down on an empty alley where a mother and son pair found her in the morning the next day. She looked rather pitiful and weak when she was found.
They took her in. They fed, clothed her, and even showed her the love that no one besides her mother did.
Over time the course of a few weeks they got her to actually talk besides just using paper or just nodding her head.
She lived with them as her family from then on until she confronted her half-sister Josie Grey during a field trip to Angel City.
She was 17 then.
Her father, Levi Grey, her step-mother, Aria Grey, and her half-sister Josie treated her as a plaything after that accidental meeting during a field trip to Angel City.
They would send her surprises every few weeks, ones that gave her nightmares.
As the days passed, her nightmares grew worse but she held on.
Three months ago her foster mother Lillian and her foster brother Rohan were caught in a car accident. It wasn't very fatal nor was it meant to take their life but her foster mother Lillian was caught in the ICU!
Her brother Rohan was only 19 but he worked at a mid-size company that gave him decent money. Enough that they could still live on while paying for their mother's medical bills.
That wasn't until a week ago that the doctor revealed that their mother needed emergency surgery within the next two weeks or she will die!
They said that during the car accident, metal debris entered her body that wasn't discovered by the regular check-ups that they had performed on her when she first came in.
It wasn't until she gave a violent reaction to one of the medicine a few days ago that they discovered that she had this metallic debris in her!
Within 2 weeks if they don't give her surgery to remove those mini metal and the tumor that was forming near her stomach glands, Lillian would only have less than half a year to live!
They needed money.
Lots of it.
Her best friend Stella was hosting a birthday banquet after which Stella would have the money to give Luna but reality proved otherwise for Luna.
Stella was brought over to Josia's side through money and so Luna was drugged and she was going to be sold to those seven men in the hotel room!
On the way, the servants whether it was because they weren't careful enough, or perhaps they did it intentionally, Sophia's head was hit on the wall several times rather roughly.
No one was in the staircase and Luna was drugged so even though they controlled their strength they hit Luna's head very hard! She even got a concussion and her brain was bleeding inside, not that anyone saw it.
By the time they got Luna to the room and put her on the bed-
... Luna's soul had already left.

Just a heads-up to everyone, in the upcoming chapters the female lead will be addressed as both Sophia AND Luna.
The original Luna is gone and Sophia's soul has taken over however the body is not completely Sophia's so as of now the female lead is between the living and the dead.
Sophia has a body but she isn't Luna so she will be addressed as both Luna AND Sophia until she officially gains the body as hers. I know it's confusing but it's a key point in the story so please bear with it.
Please read carefully to better understand what's happening but just know Luna and Sophia are the same now.
