Rise of the Half-Bakugan

A Multiversal Entity made a mistake when reincarnating an ordinary soul, turning it into a half-beast it shouldn't have been. This novel is a tragicomic account of James' adventures in this situation, his fall and rise. *** This series is also a Bakugan Alternate Universe, which I have tried to keep largely accurate to the original. Have a good read. As always, I own the copyrights to what belongs to me. Any content that is not mine is not mine. This is a Fan-Fic after all. I have no say in anything related to Bakugan. It's just a shitty fan fiction written for fun.

Chapter 55 - Stopped Summon

The dragon-like beast's cry of hunger caused a brief moment of surprise. Its voice was guttural as if it wanted to eat everything.

Dan and his team stood dumbfounded as a bakugan was killed in front of their eyes. As the coldness of death chilled their blood, Dan shouted with courage:

"We can stop it! We just need to attack together!"

Dan's confident voice brought everyone back to their senses as a voice came from the gauntlets:

<Darkus Goblinball, absorbed by Unknown Bakugan. Bakugan gained: +300 G-Power>

<Unknown 1100 Bakugan: G-Power>

When the beast's G-Power was announced, everyone cautiously looked at the total G-Power of their bakugan. Collectively, they were clearly superior to the beast, but it did not offer them the possibility of a group attack.

The beast roared and attacked the others with even greater ferocity and even more irrational speed. This time its target was...

Drago!

As soon as Drago realized this, he shouted at everyone to stand back. He had dealt with a White One before. Now, part of him wanted to save this White One. But the other part of him was filled with anger because of his dead racemate.

Mira shouted back.

"Let's leave no room for crossing, Wilda!"

"Got it, Clay Wall!"

This ability both pulled the opponent's G-Power to its base and increased your own g-power by 200! With Wilda's quick movement, rock-like clay walls quickly rose from the ground. These walls blocked the front, back, right, and left of the dragon-like beast, and a voice was heard.

<Power Increase Subterra Wilda: +200 G-Power>

<Fail! The target is already at base G-Power.>

Yet, inexplicably, part of Wilda's ability was canceled and its effect was tragically reduced. Marucho shouted above as the sound of the reset cancellation from the gauntlet was lost in the noise.

"Elfin, let's reduce its power!"

The beast roared, and with a single claw strike, it tore through the wall! Just as it was about to advance on Drago, Elfin's childish voice was heard:

"Leave it to me, Marucho! Shooting Stardust!"

The ability's only thing was the transfer of 200 G-Power. She pointed her frog-like index fingers like the barrel of a gun. With that, stardust began to rain down on the beast.

Immediately afterwards, the beast's white flames covered its entire body and various glitches appeared on its body.

<Ability canceled.>

With the glitches, the ability was tragically canceled. As this sound came from the gauntlet, the dragon-like beast continued to fly forward. Just then, two separate abilities appeared in front of him, one after the other.

"Don't be in such a hurry. Ingram, Continuous Dance: Phoenix Position!"

"Partner, finish him. Darkus Maiden!"

Darkus Percival and Ingram responded at the same time:

"Leave it to me!"

Darkus Maiden was about nullifying the opponent's ability. The Continuous Dance: Phoenix Position was lowering the opponent's G-Power.

While using the abilities simultaneously, there was a whirlwind of wind and a dark attack.

As it went dark for a moment, the dragon head on his wrist opened. A purple orb of light shot out of it. The wind whirlwind moved violently towards the dragon-like beast!

And just as these attacks were about to hit it, another pair of voices sounded from the gauntlets:

<Darkus Percival ability is invalid. Opponent not using any abilities.>

<Power Transfer Ingram: +200 G-Power>

Percival suddenly lost the use of his ability and the purple object he threw scattered like nothing! Meanwhile, Ingram attacked with fierce speed. The dragon-like beast responded with a swift blow.

Ingram was knocked backwards by that swift claw strike with a clear power difference, while the green particles were sucked towards the dragon-like beast at great speed.

At that moment, a new sound came from the gauntlet.

<Ability Cancellation Ingram: -200 G-Power>

However, it finally made it to Drago, but until that very moment, Drago was preparing for it. Drago's voice was heard:

"Take this and get back to normal, Dragon Strike!"

As Drago roared in majesty, colorful lights began to emerge from his chest. The lights enveloped his body, waves of translucent ripples that shook the surroundings.

Cracks began to appear on the earth as his G-Power changed rapidly. When the cracks in the earth turned into large fissures, all the bakugan cautiously stepped back. Drago continued to roar!

As the roars grew louder, the dragon-like beast weakened. Its demonic, majestic flames shrunk pitifully, looking not so different from a corrupted dragon-like bakugan.

As the flowing G-Power increased, the beast's expression gradually changed. It screamed in rage as it forced its body, stiff from the sudden attack, to move.

"GIVE IT BACK!"

Its ferocious shriek caused a huge echo. While it affected many bakugan, the most difficult detail to notice was that this scream also opened many rifts!

These rifts, opening in the air and revealing the unknown beyond, were of such a magnitude as to damage the integrity of Space-Time! Yes, this corrupt, supposedly non-existent existence had caused cracks in the unity of Space-Time!

While these cracks in the integrity of Space-Time were far from attracting attention for the moment, Drago's entire body began to contain various colors, especially the pure white color.

As these colors grew stronger and stronger, the beast continued to weaken. Drago's victory seemed certain. He clearly had the edge over the beast because of the amount of power it was losing steadily, right?

Just when everyone, even Dan, was thinking the same, the bragon-like beast opened its mouth. Its body was no longer recognizable, and the deterioration all over it made it look like neither a bakugan nor any other life form.

With the opening of the beast's mouth, the lights emitted into the atmosphere, the power drawn, ALL of it began to move towards it. The demonic white flames rising from its disfigured body had transformed it from a dragon-like beast.

No one knew what to call it anymore!

It was at the same time that Dan heard a sound from his gauntlet and Drago realized something was wrong and canceled his ability.

<Error! Error! Unknown Beast has overridden the ability!>

With that, the beast stopped moving. No one could understand what was happening as demonic flames rose from its body more and more. Colorful particles in the air began to swirl around its body, creating the appearance of a rainbow.

As if in response, lightning struck as the bright sky was covered with dark clouds. Dan asked in shock:

"What the hell is this?"

Mira's voice joined his:

"Everyone, be careful!"

The dark clouds in the sky formed a spiral, pointing in particular to the monster. From these black clouds, demonic flames and lightning struck the ground as a pair of corrupted mechanical claws emerged from the pale, white demonic glow in the center of the spiral.

As soon as its presence appeared, the cracks grew wider and wider. A power so great that it could momentarily frighten all bakugan could only be seen in this pair of mechanical claws. Three fingers on the front and a single finger on the back, as these mechanical claws descended, an increasingly terrifying presence would reveal itself...

Suddenly, everything froze. All time, all space, EVERYTHING stopped moving. The Bakugans slowed down and froze completely while the claws above stopped coming down. The only thing that could move… was the beast. And it did.

Soon, though, even it froze.
