When a man enters the next chapter of his favorite game, yet no one mentioned that the next chapter is in another world. . . (please read the entire synopsis) Do you like a protagonist worshiped by his comrades and women like the best thing to ever exist since fire? How about a protagonist who picks up beauty after the other and adds to his harem. Maybe a protagonist so lucky he stumbles upon an ancient treasure at each turn and twist? Or perhaps one that has a hero complex and takes it upon himself to save the world by ruling it. Possibly one that kills mercilessly for the most minimal and stupid provocation. If you like these protagonists, then this story IS NOT FOR YOU!! This is a story about adventure, death, comradery. The life of our protagonist when he’s thrown into a dog eat dog world. He doesn’t want to rule, just wants to survive. But even survival becomes hard when what he has is coveted by those greedy for power. --------------AUTHOR’s NOTE-------------- Author Marco Diyan here. This is a novel I wrote according to my personal taste, which I am sure many web novels readers share with me. Basically, I HATE HAREM; Hate overpowered protagonists and repetitive patterns of the story’s volumes. English is my second language. I proofed read the story many times but I apologize for any grammatical mistakes that might still be there. Comments, good or bad, are very welcomed. The synopsis is something I wrote rote to convey my thoughts about the book and the things it DOES NOT INCLUDE. (PS: THERE WILL NEVER BE HAREM IN THIS BOOK) Have fun reading. \(◦'⌣'◦)/ ----- ヽ(^o^)ノ

CHAPTER 29 - COMA

After a very heated bidding battle, seraph and Sapir dishes were sold for 450 dragon coins each while Sporah dish, reached a frightening 790 dragon coins bought by K'rasia kingdom's representative.

Sen who had wanted to place a bid swallowed his words. Though he had millions of gold coins in his space, they equated to about roughly 300 dragon coins, plus the 100 from Mello's ring. He only had about 400 dragon coins and was not even enough for one dish.

Bali started introducing items one after the other and starting the bidding battle. These items were of course a rare treasure, but nowhere near lady Baratie's dishes.

"The next item is a roll of fabric" the young man and woman brought a two-meter long roll of crimson textiles. "This fabric is made of the northern avalanche spider silk. Bidding starts at 10 dragon coins."

Some species only live in certain areas in the world. Avalanche spiders are a huge arachnid species that lives in the northern mountain of the Frojlay continent. This type of silk of course wouldn't have appeared in this place unless people who made money their lives would venture there and get it, such as the DuBois house.

Avalanche silk had defensive properties. Clothes made from it would resist magic attacks and cold temperatures. But there are also many other items with the same properties.

In the end, Sen won the fabric for 30 dragon coins. He would make defensive clothes for his team since they cannot handle many of his items for some reason. Maybe the wearable equipment from the game is special?

Sen did not know that the reason why they couldn't wear the items from his void space was that to wear them, certain conditions need to be fulfilled. He thought that these conditions were gone with the transmigration to this world, but unknowingly, they are still valid.

"The next item is this mysterious sphere, presumed to be an egg. It has spent almost a hundred years sitting in our warehouse, but still, we feel a vibrant heartbeat and signs of life from it. We haven't managed to open it yet, nor find out what is inside. Bidding starts at 10 dragon coins"

sure enough, lady Baratie's dishes were supposed to be last but presented first. as all the following items had a much lower price value.

The crowd was unimpressed. If even the DuBois house was unable to identify the presumed egg, how could they? In the end, the only ones who bid were rich people interested in the mystery.

Only, Sen stared at the sphere hard for a while. This thing, he knows what it is. He turned to Fatima and asked whether he couldn't use his eyes to see what's inside or not.

"I can't. It's like something is blocking my vision. But I did manage to identify that it's most likely not an egg, but some sort of lock mechanism. It may have been made by the ancient goblins"

That settled it for Sen, he smiled and bid for the thing he knows to be a trap cage used for capturing fairies in an even back in LR. Only he doesn't know if that is the case here. 30 dragon coins"

"40 dragon coins"

"45"

.

.

He and another royalty battled for the cage until the other side gave up and Sen Won the cage for 55 dragon coins"

"You have use for it?" Fatima inquired.

"Maybe, I don't really know"

The cage was immediately delivered to their room by a staff member. After the transaction and contract signing is complete, the worker whispered something in Fatima's ears that made his face darken. He quickly excused himself and left the room.

Sen didn't care about it as it was none of his business.

Only he, Nivera, Risa and Leonas were left in the room. Sen held the yellow cage in his hands, searched in his void space for a while before fetching a small golden key.

Just as he was about to open it, Nivera stopped him.

"What if whatever's inside isn't friendly?"

"You can open it?" Leonas asked while surprised.

"Yeah, this is a mechanism from my world, my…teacher left me a key to open them. Nivera is right, I was too hastily just now. I'll open it once we're at the camp."

Although he speculated that a fairy is inside, he didn't want to take any chances.

The rest of the items were not that impressive so Sen didn't bother bidding. It was finally time for the highlight of the event, the most expensive items. Baratie's dishes were supposed to be a part of this collection but they were auctioned first as per her request.

"Now that we reached the special collection, the bidding can only go up by 10 dragon coins at the least" Bali announced.

Sen was also looking forward to this collection. It was just that he did not expect the first item to send him into a coma just by looking at it.

Just as the two weapons were revealed, Sen felt like he was staring at an endless abyss. He held his chest, his figure turned back to Fanalis, canceling all his ongoing skills, such as the clone guarding the three at the camp.

"Sen!" Sen heard three anxious cries before succumbing to darkness.

.

.

In a secluded room inside the hall,

"What?!" Fatima angrily kicked the steward to the ground.

"Young master, please…I, I made a mistake, please on account of the years I served the family.

At this moment, Fatima's face had lost all friendliness from when he dealt with Sen and his friends. His expression right now was twisted into anger and disappointment. If there was one thing Fatima couldn't tolerate, it is betrayal.

"Why were you speaking to that person from the Bone Coffin sect?" he stared daggers at the man crouching on the ground. The black lipstick he wore and the midnight-black hair falling on both sides of his face only intensified the cold look on his face.

"She, she just wanted to know about the special collection list, so she gave this old Mana a dragon coin to show her" the man nervously answered.

Fatima wasn't a vegetarian in this profession, he turned to his personal guard, a very tall, but slender woman, dressed from head to toe in black, "Lamia, cut off a finger. For every useless word coming out of his mouth, cut another"

"Young master, I-"

"That was three words," Lamia coolly said and swiped her dagger, four fingers were separated from the hand.

"Aaargh,"

"I'll speak, I'll speak young master. They wanted me to show an item, it was a last-minute addition. It…it was on the list of item you forbade us to accept during this auct-"the man hadn't finished speaking when Fatima clutched his throat, face colder than ever.

"What did you say? Which item? Speak!"

"It…it's…a pair…of daggers…twin…daggers"

Fatima expression fell to the bottom, he didn't notice the man who had died of a broken neck. He rushed towards Sen's room.

As expected, Sen was there, in his Fanalis form, passed out. He didn't have time to explain. He holstered Sen on his shoulder like a sack of potato.

"What are you doing?" said an already anxious Nivera.

"He'll live, but first I need you to follow me…it's not safe in here" he intently stared at Nivera, for she was the only other person who knew of his contract with Sen.

Nivera hesitated on whether to trust this person, but Sen was in a situation where she couldn't help.

She nodded and told Risa and Leonas to follow. The group swiftly left the room.

Not long after they've left, a group of people appeared at this room. Actually, there were three separate groups. One was led by a beautiful middle aged woman in a royal suit. She is the woman Fatima told Sen about, the head of the Myrel sect. She had two subordinates with her.

The second group was led by a slim robed figure, he was alone, but he exuded an aura of gloom and death that made people instinctively stay away from him. He was not human, but actually a skeleton. Or to be precise an undead.

The last one was a group of thee led by a very ordinary looking human man.

"Very neat trick Ophelia," the undead said with a raspy voice. "Too bad it did not work. DuBois people may have already smuggled the person out"

"I'll find them eventually, the DuBois cannot protect them forever," Ophelia answered gracefully.

"Don't get too carried away. Remember our agreement. We're already searching for the other seven holy energy carriers. It is not worth offending the DuBois over just a single one. This stunt may already have affected our relationship with them."

As the three were speaking, a frightening pressure descended into the room. The slightly weaker subordinates of the three people couldn't resist it and turned into puddles of blood in an instant, leaving only Ophelia, Knil –the skeletal man- and Melak, the ordinary looking man.

"You've got quite the courage to try and kidnap a guest of my DuBois house. Looks like you don't put this old lady in your eyes at all."

An old woman with a hunchback entered the room with the help of a crutch. If someone were to look at her, all they would see is a friendly old grandma who likes to pass butterscotch candy to children. However, this frail old lady is the first one of the DuBois family to have ever reach the World level. Even compared to other world level cultivator, she is still extremely strong.

The three wanted to speak but found that their words were caught in their throats. They were the respective elders from their own forces, as well as being new world rank cultivators. But during this trip, none of them actually thought of bringing their world rank elders who are in seclusion and can rival this old lady.

Plus, never would they have thought that this old monster would personally appear.

"Grandma Ming," the ordinary looking man, Melak, managed to speak.

"Don't bother speaking dear. Just listen to this old lady. Giving a face to the elders of your sects, and seeing as they're my old acquaintances, I'll just let you off with a warning. Never appear in this kingdom again, leave right at this moment and I'll forget this has ever happened… As for you-" she turned to Ophelia.

"Since you used these to pull that crafty stunt, I'll be keeping them. Remember my words, leave immediately!"

With that, old grandma Ming disappeared like blue fire, leaving behind two people and one skeleton gasping for breath.

"Knil!!" Melak furiously glared at the skeleton. "Didn't you say that the DuBois boy didn't bring any world-level experts? Why the hell is that old lady here?!"

"Melak, you dare question my intelligence? I was sure and certain that he came alone, my information is never wrong!"

"Enough, the two of you, we were played by the DuBois. They knew that we might make a move so Grandma Ming came in secret as a precaution." Ophelia said before she gritted her teeth in frustration, "They took the daggers, the only way I have to locate the holy energy carriers."

That same night, the three left Grandor kingdom. But before they did, they amended their plans of catching the holy energy carrier, this time, they forgo sly tricks and underhanded method. Their plan became more sinister and much more deadly.
