Spatial Ring

Laura and the Guild Master were chatting quietly as they waited for Owen to wake up. The Guildmaster seemed deeply upset and he was constantly apologizing for the attack that Laura and Owen had suffered.

"I'm sorry, really sorry,"

He said shaking his head.

"I should never have let you go without protection. It's my fault, I should have accompanied you or at least sent someone to escort you."

Laura nodded, understanding that the Guild Master felt guilty. She gave him a reassuring smile and said:

"Don't worry, it's not your fault. We didn't plan for this to happen, and we weren't prepared. It's just an unfortunate coincidence."

The Guild Master sighed and nodded.

"I understand, but that doesn't change the fact that I failed in my mission to watch over you. If you need anything, do not hesitate to ask me. I will do whatever is in my power to be forgiven."

Laura smiled again and said:

"Thank you, that's very kind of you."

The Guild Master nodded. They continued to chat for a while, discussing the situation in general and the security measures the guild could put in place to prevent such an incident from happening again. Finally, they heard Owen move and they turned to him, relieved to see him finally waking up.

"Alright let's head to the guild, I have to talk to you."

The three left the room and headed towards the guild. When they entered the Guild Master's office, he introduced himself.

"I'll start with the introductions, I'm Emile Crowne, the Guild Master,"

He said bowing slightly.

"I am also the second son of royalty on this continent."

Laura was shocked to hear that. She never imagined that the Guild Master could be royalty. She looked at Owen, but he didn't seem surprised at all.

"Oh, I didn't know,"

Laura said, slightly embarrassed.

"I apologize for my ignorance."

Emile smiled and shook his head.

"There's nothing to apologize for. I never told you who I was, so it's normal that you don't know. But I'm glad you're here."

Owen nodded. Emile sat down behind his desk. He opened a drawer and pulled out a paper which he handed to Owen and Laura.

"I prepared this for you,"

He said.

"It is a recommendation for you to join the Royal Academy. You have shown exceptional talents and I think you have the potential to become great people."

Laura and Owen looked at the paper, amazed. The Royal Academy was the most prestigious warrior academy on the continent, and being recommended by the Guild Master was a huge honor.

"Guildmaster, we don't know what to say,"

Said Laura, visibly moved.

"It is an honor for us to be recommended by you."

"Yes, it's amazing,"

Added Owen.

"We are very grateful for this opportunity."

Yesterday evening Owen texted Laura to tell her they were going to join the Royal Academy. That's why Laura and Owen are shocked to receive this recommendation from the guild master.

Emile smiled at them and said:

"I'm glad you like it. If you accept this recommendation, you will have to leave this village and devote yourself entirely to training at the Royal Academy. It will be difficult, but I'm sure you have the talent and the determination. necessary to succeed. What do you say?"

Laura and Owen looked at each other, then nodded together.

"We accept," they said with one voice.

Emile smiled, visibly pleased with their decision.

"Very good, I'm glad to hear it. I'll prepare all the necessary documents and tell you how to proceed. For now, I suggest you enjoy your time at the guild and prepare for the Royal Academy."

Laura and Owen thanked Emile for his recommendation and for all he had done for them. They left his office, excited about the opportunity before them. They were eager to begin their training at the Royal Academy and become great warriors.

Owen and Laura returned to the inn.

"Before you asked me, no, I wasn't aware that he was planning to send us there too."

"Very well."

Owen entered his room. He opened the system and browsed through the various items available for sale. He came across a space ring that looked interesting. According to the description, the ring had a storage space of 1 km², which seemed to him very convenient to store all his objects and equipment. He decided to buy it and waited patiently for the system to complete the transaction.

The next day, Owen and Laura went to their guild headquarters to meet the guild master. When they arrived, the guild master greeted them warmly and told them that their cars to go to the capital were finally ready.

Once Owen, Laura, and the Guild Master were done talking, they headed for the waiting car.

The trip to the capital was long and they had to travel several hundred kilometers. The guild master explained to them that it would take about two days to reach their destination, but that they could make stops to rest and eat along the way.

The trip went off without a hitch. They drove for hours, stopping occasionally to rest and eat. They spent the night in a small village before hitting the road again the next morning.
