Peoples surprise and the battle preparations

Reine walked through the castle and people stared in obvious disgust as she went. They did not bother to hide it because they simply couldn't with how repulsive she was. Reine finally reached her destination, the armory and went in looking at the different weapons and armors there. She found one that looked like a one handed sword from earth it wasn't covered in jewels or gold anything like that but it was good enough for her she thought. She put on some armor and walked out of the room heading towards the wall before she was stopped by a noble who was yelling at any soldiers nearby to help defend his manor. he saw her with her helmet and assumed she was a knight and started yelling at her to round up some men to start defending his manor. She didn't reveal her identity and asked who the man was wanting to know who she was going to punish later. In a small country like hers that had a territory of only a thousand square kilometers it was impossible to have more than a few nobles.

He looked frustrated that she talked back but answered anyways "I am Nicholas Bermuda and am earl of crudelis." She laughed at his arrogance and pulled off her helmet. "I am Queen Crudelis of the kingdom of Crudelis and am confused on what to do with you. You who would take soldiers off the frontlines when we so desperately need them." She spoke in an equally Haughty tone. The noble was floored with his arrogance disappearing as he realized who he was talking too. Reine was about to keep on walking before a sub quest popped up{You have discovered one of the corrupt nobles punish them to set an example. Your reward will be decided on how harshly you punish them. } She turned around and yelled at some nearby soldiers to grab the noble and follow her.

She continued on her way to the frontline when she got another update {quest chain activated.}{Defend yourself from this first wave of attackers and you will be able to choose a class as well as obtain information on the enemy. Depending on how well you do your class might be better or worse.} She sped up and soon reached the walls that protected her castle. She walked up the stairs and looked down upon the enemy encampment. She asked a nearby soldier where the general of the army was. The general had heard that the queen was looking for him and reported in worry that he might be in trouble. "General Grant reporting my lady!" he yelled out. She ignored this and asked him what the number of enemy troops was compared to hers

He responded with the same amount of vigor as earlier with numbers that would normally result in a crushing defeat for her."our army numbers 1,000 normal soldiers and 10 tier 1 knights having 1 tier two night being me. The enemy has at least double our forces and a tier three knight as well as a tier 1 mage." She was in udder despair when she heard these numbers. A tier 1 knight was equal to ten regular soldiers a tier 2 being equal to a hundred. A tier 3 knight was equal to her entire army and a mage would be able to defeat at least 5 tier 2 knights. But she did not give up and she immediately started planning. She told Grant to grab oil as well as their trebuchets she then said to prepare a hundred archers for the middle of the knight as well as 500 soldiers and all the knights and horses lastly she told him to prepare a large amount of wooden battlements that could e put up quickly. She then turned her back on Grant and signaled for the soldiers carrying the noble to come to her.

She called for the civilians and soldiers to come to the wall for a speech. As they gathered they whispered amongst them selves wondering what their horrible queen could have planned for them all. They were shocked into silence when Reine brought out the earl. She started to speak. "This man has betrayed our kingdom and was trying to force soldiers into defending his mansion instead of the front lines like they were supposed to be. Worst of all he yelled at me while I was wearing my helmet preparing for battle to come protect his mansion." The crowd was shocked that their queen was actually doing something beneficial to the country for once. She continued " For this I have sentenced him to death he will serve as an example to those who cause problems." As she said this the man squealed like a pig and tried to escape but Reine would not stand for it, so she cut off his head without blinking as blood spilled all over her armor and the ground. The fat pigs body hit the round and started rolling because he was such a fat oaf, It rolled and rolled until it fell off the battlements and into the crowd. The children cried and the mothers screamed in fright.

Reine didn't care as she checked the rewards for killing the man. {you have slain earl Nicholas and earned 100 exp and leveled up once obtaining 2 stat points where would you like to assign them?} Reine clicked Y without thinking and assigned them to agility making it rise to 18 nearly double the average mans.

The rest of the day was rather uneventful as Reine made plans on how to defend the city. It was natural fortified having a large river that was at least 20 meters deep and had a strong current that made in impossible to swim across the 30 meter river and even then it was infested with magic sharks that would eat any and all that tried to cross that completely surrounded the city and there was only a single small bridge that at it's thickest point was 10 meters that made it impossible to cross with a large army.

Reine sighed and prepared to seep she would need all the energy she could get. She set an alarm for the middle of the night and slept...
