11 Day of Entrance exam

On the day of the Entrance Examination, Wu Xie was practically radiating confidence. He was treating the whole process as if it were a game of checkers in the park.

Being the protagonist of his own story, he was under the impression that gaining admission into the supreme academy was as certain as the sun rising in the east.

However, he was blissfully unaware that reality was not quite as accommodating as his assumptions.

The supreme academy's, renowned for its rigorous selection process, was not a place where admission could be taken for granted.

It was a place that accepted only the most exceptional individuals, the crème de la crème, the top of the top.

And here was Wu Xie, with a broken 'talent core' and no particular talent, aspiring to get into the 'Abyssal Academy'. It was like a penguin dreaming of flying - adorable but highly unlikely.

As the examination approached, the atmosphere was as tense as a long-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs.

Students from all walks of life had gathered, each carrying their own dreams and aspirations like precious gems.

Amidst this sea of hopeful and nervous faces, Wu Xie stood out like a peacock at a penguin party, with his relaxed demeanor and unwavering confidence.

Despite knowing that Wu Xie might have as much chance as a snowball in a sauna, Dan warned him numerous times. He emphasized that getting into one of these academies was not as straightforward as Wu Xie might think.

But Wu Xie, ever the optimist, was on cloud nine, unfazed by the daunting challenge that lay ahead.

Just as the sun was reaching its zenith, Minjun made his grand entrance. He sauntered in, his presence as commanding as a king entering his court.

His eyes landed on Wu Xie and he couldn't help but burst into laughter. It was as if he had just heard the punchline of the century. He laughed so hard that he had to clutch his stomach, tears streaming down his face.

He managed to gasp out, "Wu Xie, are you still dreaming of sugarplums and fairies, or have you finally woken up from your dream of getting into the Abyssal Academy without any rank?" His words were punctuated by more peals of laughter, echoing around.

Wu Xie, however, was unfazed. He straightened his back, a determined look in his eyes. "Don't underestimate me, Minjun," he retorted. "I may not have a rank now, but I'm as determined as a beaver building a dam. And you know what they say about beavers, they never give up until the job is done."

After their brief exchange, the entrance examination commenced.

It was held in a vast ground where all the principals of the academies were present. The atmosphere was as tense as a high wire act, filled with anticipation and anxiety.

But amidst it all, Wu Xie stood tall, ready to face whatever came his way, like a knight ready to slay a dragon. The stage was set, the players were ready, and the game was about to begin.

When the examination began, a mystical sensing rock was placed in front of all the candidates.

This wasn't just any rock, but a 'LuRain Rock', known to have the power to measure the true strength within someone's body.

The brighter the rock glowed, the more abundant the individual's power was. It was like a magical disco ball, but instead of reflecting light, it reflected power.

Wu Xie, intrigued by the rock, turned to Dan for an explanation. Dan, with the patience of a wise old sage, explained the significance of the rock.

This was the moment Wu Xie realized he might face humiliation again. It was like being the only one at a party who didn't know the dance moves.

Meanwhile, Minjun, who had been eavesdropping on their conversation like a curious squirrel on a mission, couldn't resist the urge to tease Wu Xie. He suggested, with a mischievous glint in his eyes, that Wu Xie could still back out and leave through the back gate unnoticed.

It was like offering a secret escape route from a potentially embarrassing situation, akin to a magician's disappearing act.

However, Wu Xie, who was as stubborn as a mule refusing to budge from its spot, dismissed Minjun's suggestion with a wave of his hand.

He was convinced that he must possess a lot of power within him, like a dormant volcano waiting to erupt and surprise everyone with its fiery might.

He saw this as an excellent opportunity to reveal his true strength, to show everyone that he was not just a sheep in wolf's clothing, but a wolf who had been masquerading as a sheep all along!

With a mischievous glint in his eyes, Wu Xie turned to Minjun and warned him, "You better be careful, Minjun. When I place my hand on that rock, my power might just make it shine as bright as the sun. You wouldn't want to be blinded by its brilliance, would you?" He added a dramatic wink for good measure, his playful tone lightening the tense atmosphere.

Minjun, caught off guard by Wu Xie's audacious claim, couldn't help but burst into laughter. His laughter echoed around, a hearty sound that brought smiles to the faces of those around them.

Wiping a tear from his eye, he managed to say between fits of laughter, "Oh, Wu Xie, you do have a way with words! Let's wait and watch, shall we?" His words were filled with amusement, a clear indication that he was thoroughly enjoying this playful banter.

And so, with the stage set for a showdown of power and wit, everyone waited with bated breath to see if Wu Xie's claim would indeed come true.

Would the rock shine as bright as the sun, or would it be a damp squib? Only time would tell. But one thing was for sure - this was turning out to be one of the most entertaining entrance examinations they had ever witnessed.

With a determined glint in his eyes and a confident smirk playing on his lips, Wu Xie prepared to face the examination.

The atmosphere was thick with anticipation, and you could almost hear the drumroll in the background.

Would Wu Xie prove his doubters wrong, or would he have to make a hasty exit through the back gate? Only time would tell!
