Chapter 1

"Sigh the only thing about being in a world without technology is having no internet, how am I supposed to entertain myself without YouTube?" Spoke a boy who seemed to be between the age of 12-13.

This boy was laying on the roof of a wooden house, this house wasn't big and was fairly small, but compared to the surrounding ones it was definitely the biggest and most luxurious.

This boy's name was Ryu, he was an ordinary human on the blue planet we call earth until he unfortunately died and reincarnated into the body of a normal villager in a different world.

Of course, even though he reincarnated into the body of a normal villager, he wasn't completely average, for example in this world he is very handsome, with white hair and tanned skin on earth he would be seen as the eye candy for every woman, but on this planet, unless you're a woman your looks won't get you anywhere.

Of course, in a little village like this, his looks did help him with getting a beautiful fiancé. Because of his good looks, he was said to have good genetics, and seeing that the village leader had no heir, he was adopted by him at the age of 3.

This was all because the village leader only had a daughter, and since a woman couldn't become the village head, he needed an heir, so Ryu was the perfect fit.

And Ryu couldn't complain either, after all, by earth's standards his 'Fiancé' is a diamond among rocks. She, compared to the other women in the village, was a bright star in the night sky.

Her name was Crystal, she had long beautiful silver hair, bright green eyes, and smooth skin, unlike other girls in the village who had rough skin due to being poor and needing to farm to support their family.

They are basically childhood sweethearts, since they did everything together growing up, and she admired Ryu for being her 'Strong' Big brother.

Anyway, back to the present, Ryu was staring at the sky with some grass in his mouth, just thinking about how the years have gone by, yet he hasn't got any sort of golden finger.

Of course, this wasn't a problem for him, in his mind, a golden finger would bring plot, and plot would bring trouble. Ryu doesn't want to be some sort of Protagonist, he just wants to marry Crystal and live a happy, peaceful life.

As Ryu was daydreaming, his vision went black, and he heard a voice.

"Guess who" spoke a sweet, seductive yet immature voice.

"Crystal?" Answered Ryu.

"Yep! Hey Ryu what are you doing up here? Are you looking at the clouds again?" Spoke Crystal.

Looking at his adorable fiancé, Ryu smiled and answered.

"No, I'm just thinking about the future, you know when we have our children and all" Hearing this Crystal immediately blushed and looked away.

"Hmph, stop teasing me!" Smiling, Ryu pulled Crystal into a hug and continued to look into the sky.

"Hey, Ryu?"

"Yes?"

"Do you really just want to live in the village?" Asked Crystal.

"Why? Is there anything good about leaving? The outside world is dangerous, only strength matters there, but here I have you, the village and father, why would I ever want to leave?" A confused Ryu asked.

"Your right, I'm sorry for asking it's just that i- never mind, oh right I forgot father sent me up to call you down, apparently there are visitors on their way."

'Visitors? I have never met anyone from the outside world. Other than some merchants who travel past our village, but why would it be so important that even the village head has to address it?' Wondering this, Ryu climbed down from the roof along with Crystal.

Grabbing Crystal's hand, Ryu ran towards the center of the village.

Not long after Ryu appeared with Crystal in the center of the village where unlike before where it was loud filled with children's shouts of laughter and adults conversing, it was quiet, and the air was filled with seriousness.

In the middle of the village, all villagers were gathered in a circle, staring at 6 people who Ryu couldn't recognize.

Looking around, he could see the village head smiling and talking to one of the men who seemed to be one of the visitors.

And unlike the normal aloof expression the village head carried, it was now a show of humbleness.

Ryu being confused, asked a nearby villager what was happening.

"Oh Ryu, these people are immortal cultivators from a nearby sect, apparently their sect is accepting new disciples, so they have traveled to our village to test the aptitude of children between the ages of 8 - 15." Spoke a villager with admiration in his voice.

'Cultivators? It must be the reason the Village Head is being so humble. In this world only strength matters and compared to a normal human, a cultivator is a god. It is said that cultivators can fly on swords and shed their mortality!'

'From some of the books I have read, the cultivation levels are

1. Aura Opening Stage - Lifespan 100 Years.

2. Aura Foundation Stage - Lifespan 200 Years.

3. Aura Core Stage - Lifespan 350 years.'

'But is this good or bad? What if Crystal has no cultivation talent, but I do? Or what if it's the opposite? Would Crystal leave me to go on the journey of immortal-No I need to stop such thinking, I love Crystal, and she loves me, I'm sure that either of us would be fine with living an ordinary life as long as we have each other!' Reassuring himself, Ryu came back to reality and continued to pay attention to the cultivators.
