Her whole life, Emi had lived with one simple motto: 

The only person you can depend on is yourself. 

That was how she'd conducted herself. That was how she got straight A's in school, that was how she'd got her first job after being rejected by over 30 different places, that was how she'd survived the beginning of the Unity Trials. 

And, that wasn't about to change now. 

Currently, Emi and the rest of the group fled from the relentless pursuit of the orc horde.

Emi vaulted over broken-down cars and random debris, her petite frame weaving nimbly between gnarled roots and low-hanging branches. Her short stature and slender build allowed her to navigate the urban terrain with a certain amount of ease, helped by her attributes.
