19 The adventure begins!

{1st, POV, Ethan}

"Then, I'll be on my way."

I spoke to, the two stunningly beautiful women standing behind me. They are, none other than Tiamat and Alizée. The week has come to an end, it is time to start traveling for the thousand monsters island.

"Take care, and don't go too deeper inside the island."

Tiamat, who is wearing her signature all silver attire spoke, in a bland tone. She has been, acting like this, for the whole week. I can guess, the reason pretty well. To be honest, I wished for a situation similar to this, to occur. This can bring me great advantages in, my future endeavors.

"Promise me, you will not do anything too dangerous master."

Next to speak is, Alizée, in her usual blue and white maid costume. She spoke with an expression full of deep longing and concern. I smiled at her and nodded my head expressing my assurance.

Tiamat's face has a growl, while she kept glaring daggers at Alizée. I had to put in a lot of effort to hold back my laughter.

"Then, I'm off!... Bye, bye!!"

I began to fly off, with those words. This will be, my first adventure so I'm very excited about it.

'I can't wait to finally, wander alone for the first time... "

"This suit is really comfortable!"

I'm currently heading towards the west of the endless sea. I'm wearing a new leather suit and armor today. The costume is entirely black, with black elbow-length leather gloves that only cover my top palm, leaving my fingers and under palm exposed for improved grip. Over tight black slacks knee-length black leather boots, Leather plating across my chest and back, as well as a hood and veil to shield my face and head, are all included in the outfit. All in all, this suit is very light and comfortable. To be honest, I don't really like those heavy suits of armors, they are so big and get in the way. The outfit is not only for style, this armor has anti-surveillance, damage reduction, enchantments on it. This suit can probably, keep me alive from an imperial realm warriors attack.

The distance, between Tiamat's island, and the thousand monsters' island is quite great as her island is at the east, while the monsters island is at the west. It will take me, roughly one full day to arrive there. I might have to, stop to take some rest in an inn or hotel close by. The quirks, of being filthy rich, Tiamat was to one, who bought this amazing costume for me.

Glancing at the islands, below me I can see, they are mostly forests with only small cities, build near the coasts. The area where I'm flying by is the outer part of the endless sea. The endless sea is separated into three parts: the outer side, where the islands are small and generally uninhabited, by inhabitants, and the inner part, where the islands are larger and mostly occupied by civilians, the inner part, is primarily managed by the nobles, under the leadership, of my four aunts. And, governing over the, two parts is the central region, where the four great nations, are built. The high ranking, noble houses, and massive metropolia are all established; in the central part.

'It's time, to get some rest, I feel a little tired... '

I have been flying, for about 10-hours already. So, I decided to take some rest before I began to, fly again. I'm already more than halfway through, my speed of flying is rather quick.

Gazing below, I spotted a relatively bigger island, compared to the other, islands near it. There is a small town, built close to the seaside.

'This place should have an inn or hotel... '

Wrapping up, my thoughts I concluded to check if the town has a hotel or not. I quickly flew over, the island and landed inside the forest behind the city. I didn't fly, straight into the city as my actions would startle the common people. This is, a small town and the strongest city lord would probably be a master-stage at best. Only two, kinds of people can fly in the endless sea, the dragons and the imperials. Well, anyone at the imperial- stage can fly regardless of what race they are. And, any dragon with wings can fly. Any of the two types of people will cause an uproar in the city, as someone at the imperial- stage is certainly noble, while the dragons are held in awe as the true sovereigns of this land.

Nonetheless, I didn't want a situation like that to arise, I'm only here to get some good rest before resuming my journey again. I began to walk around, the forest to enter the city from, the front gate. I arrived, at the front gate very quickly, looking in front of me, I saw four people standing guard before the gate. One of them is in the adapt stage, while the others are all beginners. They are all demi-humans, with the adapt guard being a wolf demi-human.

"Halt! Why do you, want to enter the town?"

The burly, wolfman inquired me while blocking my path.

"I am a traveler, I simply want to take some rest. I came to see if this town has an inn, for me to take some rest."

I replied, truthfully. I don't want to act suspicious and attract trouble.

"Ohh... alright. I'll have to inspect if you have anything dangerous or not If you don't mind. The entry fee will be five low-grade mana stones."

The wolfman said, and I simply nodded my head, in understanding. It's a similar process, within every town or city, you will need to pay an entrance fee before, they let you in. The other guards began to inspect, my belongings. I only have a small pouch, hanging on my waist, it has some low-grade mana stones, nothing more. I have, a lot of ways to store things: like the systems inventory which has unlimited storage space. A storage ring, and a pocket dimension, for storing items, yes, I can create interdimensional storage space, I'm a space mage after all.

"Alright, you can enter the town.

There is a small inn in the town, you just have to turn left after entering, it's just around the corner."

After they finished, their inspection and didn't find anything suspicious, the burly wolfman spoke to me.

"Thank you, for the directions I appreciate it. Here's the fee."

I gave him the money and went inside the town. The town is much like, one would expect. Small houses made of wood, some buildings made of stones. A small market, with few shops. The people are all weak, with the majority being at the beginner stage, some older ones being adapt-stage, at best. I followed the instructions, that wolfman instructed, I came across a two-story-tall house. The walls are brown, the roof is made of red tiles, giving the inn a cozy and warm feeling. Opening, the door made of black wood, I entered the building. The inside is also giving the same cozy feeling, the floor is made of woods, the walls are gray, with orange light emitting from the light stones.

Walking up, to the reception, I gazed upon a chubby middle-aged woman, with brown hair and eye. She has two rabbit ears, indicating she is a rabbit-woman.

Glancing at me, she beamed a friendly smile and said.

"Welcome to Anne's inn, I'm the owner of this inn Anne, how may I help you?"

"Nice to meet you, Miss Anne, I'm Ethan, How much will it cost? to get a room, for one day?"

I asked her, after exchanging greetings and giving my name, I'm not afraid to use my real name, as no one knows about my true identity.

"If you want dinner as well, then it will cost 3 low-grade mana stones. And 2 low-grade mana stones, if you only want a room."

"Okay, I only want a room for a day. Here's the money."

Saying this, I gave her the money.

"Alright, follow me. Your room is on the second floor."

Anne gestures, me to follow her. Well, I realized the rooms, are all on the second floor, as the first floor consists of the reception, dining, and kitchen area.

Climbing the stairs of the second floor, we arrived at a room, located in the middle of the right row of rooms.

"Here, this will be your room, here's the key."

Handing me the key, Anne left. I opened the door and went inside. The room is pretty plain, with a bed, one table, and a chair.

"Alright, time to sleep. Hope, I reach the island tomorrow."

"Yes! I finally reached the place."

I exclaimed as I flew, over towards a huge island covered in dark, gloomy clouds.

"This island is certainly, very dull and gloomy. Fitting it's them, as the island of hate."

'Let's begin, my first great adventure ~'

With newfound excitement, I flew close towards the island, with great strides.

{1st, POV, Tiamat}

'The palace truly feels empty, in his absence... '

I thought, while releasing a sight, I am currently sitting on a sofa, in the drawing-room. It has been a month, Ethan had departed for the thousand monsters island. It took him, two days to reach the region. He has been doing rather well, he hasn't gone too deeper into the forest, as of yet. The most frustrating thing is that I can't, observe whatever, he is doing.

Everyone believes the resentful core is just a legend. But I know, better than anyone else, how true this myth is. How can I not? I, myself am are one of the few individuals, who survived that bloody battle. I can still smell the bloody odor and experience, that hellish sight akin to purgatory, whenever I close my eyes. Those days, rivers of blood dyed the lands red, while crimson miasma permeated the sky declaring the arrival of true armageddon.

I've seen with my, own eyes, how countless powerhouses similar to my strength, if not stronger die a gruesome death. Their souls were, filled with unwillingness and grievance, refusing to leave the world of the living.

The reason why I didn't get rid of this leftover piece of land, is to show respect to my fallen comrades. I can't tell if, there really is a resentful core or not. The thing I'm certain of is that the object can truly block, my omniscient to some extent. Preventing me, from observing anything transpiring on the island. I have gone, to that island a few times, yet I still couldn't find any; abnormalities. So, I let it be for now. The island turned into a training ground, for the young warriors to test their strength over time.

'Well, I don't really care, I have more important matters... '

Thinking of important matters, a certain azure hair girl's happy face comes to my mind. Complicated emotion fills my heart, as I visualize more about them. My concern for the island becomes insignificant compared to; this topic.

'I still find it hard to believe, my cute and innocent Ethan can commit... such... obscene vulgarities!! (kisses and hugs only)... '

I was surprised, to say the least when for the first time, he committed such shameful acts. Just imaging, those events spread a blush over my cheeks.

'I should probably, teach him some discipline... '

As soon as, I began to devise some plans to teach Ethan a lesson. A sudden, enlightenment dawned upon me, which brought a huge smile to my face.

'It will be a perfect lesson for him~'

"Apep, Leviathan; Ehecatl, Nuri... Gather all the twelve Dukes, and summon a meeting with the elders' council. I want all the preparation done within this week."

"Huh— but, why mother? So, suddenly as well...? "

"Yes— mother, is there something going on...?"

"Yeah— mother, can you tell us what's the matter?"

They began to shoot questions at me, right after the mental message; I sent to them. Other than, Leviathan everyone questioned me. This is one of the things, I both like and hate about her, it's good that she doesn't question my judgments, yet I find her approach more like a subordinate rather than, that of a daughter. Well, I can keep trying to change her, attitude some other times.

"There is something, I would like to announce. I have a very important, declaration for the dragon race."

I spoke vaguely, I want this to be a surprise to all of them as well. I know they, won't object to my declaration, instead, they would be very happy. Especially, Ehecatl that lazy daughter of mine would probably be the happiest. Now, that she doesn't have to govern a nation, all alone.

"Very well, we understand mother. It will be as you wish."

"Yes, it shall be done."

"I will go, and call everyone."

"Me too."

Following, Apep's lead my other daughters too expressed their agreement. As the conversation ended, I started to grin happily with this step complete. My plan is set in motion.

"You would surely, be shocked when you come back, my naughty Ethan~, he-he-he!!

He-he-he...!!"

'Sigh!— I can not wait, for him to return. It's so boring... '

[Hello guys, I would like to talk about, somethings you have been, saying in the comments: First, some of you wanted me to, make Tiamat the first love, but how am I, supposed to do that?

You can't just, make your grandma fall in love with, you as if it's normal.

Second, some of you might have already guessed, how they are going to, begin their romantic relationship. Yet, expected something different. But, this is the most secure, if not the only way to, do it. If I try something different, and it ends as a failure or cliche, you and also me will feel dissatisfied. I hold a lot of, expectations as this is, my first work, and I want don't want to drop it midway because I messed up, the plot or earn your dissatisfaction if I commit a grave mistake.
