Southern Human County (1)

In a majestic manor, coated in colors of gold and red, and located at a corner of the Draconian Duchy, a woman stood.

Her hair was as fiery as the core of the sun, cascading past her shoulders to end at her waist. Amidst this seemingly neverending stream of red, golden filaments could be found, taking up a third of her total hair.

From her delicate nose, to her red cherry lips, all the way to the heavy outline of her curvy body, she was as hot as a boiling magma, yet incomparably dangerous if touched.

At that moment, her eyes snapped open, revealing a pair of golden reptilian eyes. It shone for a moment before dimming considerably.

A frown creased her beautiful and delicate face as she looked out into the city through the huge floor to ceiling window of her office.

"Who is he? Who is this human?" Her voice was just as delicate as her appearance, soothing one's mind like a sedative.

Suddenly, she looked over her snow white shoulders towards the door and her delicate voice sounded again.

"Come in,"

Almost immediately, the automatic doors slid open, revealing a young blue-scaled Draconian female who had a frantic expression on her face.

"Duke! Bad news! Bad news!" She cried out, her voice panicked and worried.

"What is it?" The lady, who was none other than the Duke of the Draconian Duchy asked.

"Young Master! Young Master Ayden is dead!"

"Is that so?" The Duke replied gently, her voice portraying no emotion.

The blue scaled Draconian grunted in exasperation. For someone who was the proclaimed mother of the dead Young Master, she was calm, too calm in fact.

However, she couldn't blame her either. Although, people knew her as the mother of the dead Young Master, the truth was, she wasn't his biological mother, but his aunt. But still, he was a relative. One she had been looking over personally since he was a kid.

How could she be so calm?!

"I know. I have seen it with my very eyes. The person who killed him was a Human. A. Very. Powerful. Human."

The blue-scaled Draconian, just like the dead red-scaled Ayden was a variant among her kind. As such, she was especially aware how powerful her types are. Compared to the common Draconians, they were two to three levels stronger.

In addition, they gain control over elements, wielding them as though it was an extension of their being. It was also exactly thanks to this that she was extremely shocked. So shocked, she couldn't help but gasp.

"How?"

"I have no idea. He took out Cady with a kick, and accidentally killed Ayden even with his awakened Lineage Gift."

"What?! A…acci…accidentally killed him?! Even with an awakened Lineage Gift?!" The blue-scaled Draconian didn't seem to know how to react anymore.

Lineage Gift. It was the existence of this that differentiated them from common Draconians. It was this Lineage Gift that allowed control over elements. Or more appropriately, this Lineage Gift was the very element they controlled.

Just as its implied, it couldn't be acquired normally, and was limited to those lucky to be born into Families with extremely powerful pedigrees. Even then, those who managed to awaken it were few and far between, and were always those extremely talented.

However, upon awakening it, it gave one strength and power far beyond imagination, bringing the difference between them and the common Draconians over ten levels higher.

The common Draconians could already turn Humans into ragdoll, let alone a Draconian on the level of Young Master Ayden. With his Lineage Gift, he should have been unmatched. Even the stronger Feline beside him would become nothing a doll before him.

And yet, a Human had killed him, accidentally at that. How had such a thing happen?

"Yes, accidentally." The Duke nodded, before she turned to look at the blue-scaled Draconian.

"Zoe. Although, I can attest to the innocence of the Human, I want you to find him. Do everything in your power to find him. Do anything. And I mean, anything."

Zoe trembled. The Duke had never as much as put Humans in her eyes, much less place them on a high pedestal as she was currently doing.

In the past, any Human who had slighted her were killed on spot. This was the first time she had requested a search, and on a Human at that.

"Yes, Ma'am!"

Even then, Zoe wouldn't be the Commander of the Draconian Army if that was enough to sway her. She responded sharply before walking out of the office.

The Duke though, had a rare smile playing at her lips. She looked out towards the city again, a strange glint flashing in her reptilian golden eyes.

"Is it you? The one who will conquer me body and soul…?" Her voice trailed off.

As for the matters of Ayden's death, it unfortunately wasn't on her mind anymore. He was only unlucky to have faced the powerful Human.

Damian would have never expected the mother of the Draconian he killed was watching every of the scene through his eyes.

And just as she had said, he had actually accidentally killed him. At that point before they collided, he had flipped the Light Saber from its sharp edge to the blunt edge. Meaning, he had only intended to teach him a lesson, but hadn't expected the blunt edge to still render him lifeless.

It appeared a Tier 5 Bronze Grade Artifact wasn't to be taken lightly to those beneath and at its level.

Currently, Damian had long since left the Draconian Duchy and its surrounding territory. His destination now was the Southern Human County that was further away.

He suddenly stopped, his eyes flashing for a moment before he continued forward.

Just now, the system alerted him of the presence of another Earthling in the Spheric Tower. And judging by the speed, he was more inclined to believe the Earthling was the lady from the House of Etoile.

The reason for this wasn't complex.

Nearly ten hours had passed since Damian arrived here. And if Adah's awakening process were to be taken into consideration, then her presence here wasn't going to be made known until a week later.

Even then, that was only considering if she was not all that talented. If she was extremely talented, then it would take even more.

The other lady however, was not an indigene of Earth by birth just like him. She had long since awakened her Ability and thus, wouldn't need to undergo any of the awakening process.

Damian came to a stop yet again. One of the advantages of entering into a Spheric Tower as the first was the detailed map that currently floated before him, and likewise, the ability to locate any of those that entered with and after you.

He had been able to locate the young lady of the House of Etoile previously. But now, for some inexplicable reason, she had vanished off his radar.
