Chapter 37: Gathered loot

After speaking with Tormund Rosario let him leave to go complete his evolution. While they were all busy he wanted to look over all the loot they had collected over the past month. He had received quite a few items from his summons. His plan was to go take care of this Cooper guy with his 11 followers helping him out, when scouting the area his people had come across a goblin patrol. The goblins had tried tailing his people, but Ivana had trained them well and instead of being followed they began stalking the goblins in turn.

That scouting team led by Silph had gotten all the way to the makeshift village that Cooper had built. To say it was a village was a disservice to villages, it looked more like a labor camp with the majority of the goblin guards looking in rather than out. It was obvious that the majority of the buildings in the village were not made using a blueprint, the houses the citizens were living in were made of sticks and mud. Seemingly the only buildings made with blueprints seemed to be a great hall, a mansion, and what looked to be a smaller barracks.

His people had watched as the goblins patrolled around the village, they would send out a few parties of 5 goblins to hunt and forage. After observing the goblins for the past week, he was able to learn they sent out around 15 teams of 5 goblins each. Each of the goblins in these teams was under armored and underwhelmingly equipped. They had crude loin cloths, and their weapons were made using sticks or rocks, some had a dagger or a farming implement. Feeling the majority of their strengths Rosario had determined most of them were around his level before he had evolved.

He had asked Tormund why it seemed like the goblin's levels were much lower than theirs when supposedly, unless they were also brought here, they had already lived on this planet. Tormund confirmed that goblins did already exist on this planet. He assumed that these particular goblins were not ones that had been dropped here, instead he proposed that these specific goblins were part of a larger tribe once, they were most likely kicked out of the larger tribe as there were too many males and these were the youngest so got removed before they could challenge their elders.

Tormund had gone on to explain that he believed this theory due to the entirety of the goblins being male and the way that they leered at any women. All of them seemed impressively stupid except for a select few hobgoblins they had seen.

The hobgoblins apparently were the goblin races first evolution, though most races would get a random evolution there were some races out there that would evolve a specific way during certain evolutions. The goblins were one of these races, all goblins evolved to hobgoblins upon their first evolution.

They would go from a darker forest green color that gave them natural camouflage in the woods to a yellow bile like color after their successful evolution. Not much would change with their faces as after evolving they would maintain the 9 inch pointed ears, with the black pupilless eyes. Their heights would increase about a foot each and their intelligence, while not completely on par with a human, would increase drastically.

Knowing the goblins would break into teams to go out hunting and return at noon with food Rosario planned on wiping out all 15 of the 5-man teams while they were out of the village. He would see what the response would be from the village when 75 of their goblins don't return. His hope was that the village would send out more scouting or rescue parties that he would ambush also, making sure no one was left alive to report back to Cooper.

Rosarios mind had gotten sidetracked, so looking back at his storage ring on his neck he decided to begin looking over the loot his people had obtained. First were what he considered to be the most important: Summoning Vellums.

Pulling out all the summoning vellums he had been given by his people Rosario piled them on the left side of his desk ready to be sorted through by him.

Seeing he could summon a total of 347 citizens Rosario was giddy with anticipation, he wanted to run over to the summoning gate and summon them all right then and there. He held himself back as he knew tomorrow they would be heading to start a guerrilla war with Cooper, the only way the war ended was if one of them died and Rosario didn't plan on being a footnote in anyone's history.

His plan was to gain these summons after he had dealt with Cooper, this way he could integrate any summons from Coopers village into his own small city. Of course, if anyone from Coopers village wanted to leave he would let them.

After sorting out the summoning vellums and taking stock of how may of each Rosario stored them safely back into his ring.

Once the vellums were safely placed away he pulled out the mess of gems and essence crystals he had piled up in his ring. Their routine the last month was to dump all of their loot into a pile at dinner when all of them had gotten back form hunting during the day. At that time Rosario had delegated Tormund to divvy out equal essence among themselves, in this way they had slowly leveled together as a group instead of someone getting left behind. Julie, when she joined, was powered leveled across 3 days' time to catch her up to everyone else. Now all he had left in his inventory were the cast-off essence that they hadn't needed from their most recent kills.

Sorting through the pile of mixed gems, essence crystals, ores, and summoning gate crystals Rosario slowly sorted them out.

Looking over his organized pile Rosario had a satisfied smile upon his face, he had been worried that they would not be able to maintain their insane level speed as to reach the first evolution that had each needed 5,500 essence a piece. That meant that he and his people had gathered over 66,000 essence over the last month. With the greatest essence crystals they used being the level 10 ones, they would only get 50 essence per Crystal max.

Rosario had an Evo 1, Level 0 Crystal as he had been spear fishing in the river and accidentally snagged it. Apparently, it had been hunting him, however it didn't realize that due to his Body trait he had already been on par with Evo 1 beings.

After placing everything back neatly stored in his ring Rosario took out the last pile of loot, the blueprints. The 12 of them were able to gather a total of 37 different types of blueprints. They ranged from houses to a draw bridge.
