Memphis

Chhhhhhhssss

A sensation akin to passing through Murky liquid could be felt on Naramil's skin.

The sensation was then followed by a slight feeling of disorientation that lasted for half a nanosecond.

Regaining his thoughts, Naramil looks around only to see countless demons engaging in battle against each other.

Blood of numerous colors scatter throughout.

Corpses have already been piled to millions, filling the surroundings with a suffocating aura of death.

clang, clang, clang

Miles away, two figures clashed in the sky, one figure being the hooded demon, while the other was an insectoid.

Their battle creates shockwaves that bring severe injuries or death to the demons below, Irrespective of the factions they represent.

Clang, clang

Exneal, an insectoid demon, brown in color, stabs a Scythe-shaped claw forward.

The claw punctures through the head of Memphis.

Swoosh

Exneal, not displaying any signs of jubilation, rapidly turns around and crosses his arms around his chest.

Bang

He forcefully blocked the punch Memphis threw his way.

However, although the punch was blocked…

Swish,

Exneal gets thrown a dozen miles away due to the sheer force.

Memphis in turn makes a jumping posture, then…

Boom

His legs kick back, and as if meeting a solid platform, he lunges forward in the direction of Exneal, leaving behind only his afterimage that was pierced through the head.

A second later, the afterimage too disappears.

Arriving at Exneal's location, Memphis raises his hand…

Shewwww

A sword seemingly created from the depths of the shadows emerges.

Slashing down the sword, Memphis hits Exneal's exoskeleton, causing a loud "ding," that rings the eardrums of the demons present.

Swish, boom

The impacted Exneal suddenly halts from his flight and falls downward at blinding speeds.

BOOM!!!

Looking down at the cloud of dust created, Memphis begins to speak in his lazy and monotone voice…

"Subordinates of Demon King Iratus, I request an explanation, what exactly do you think you're doing here?"

Click, click

Vrrrrrrrrr…

The dust then scatters from an intense wind, allowing one to see the two pairs of wings that suddenly came from Exneal's back.

Not bothering to respond to Memphis's questions Exneal flies towards his adversary at a speed greater than his descent by countless times.

As soon as he arrives, Exneal swings his claws which have now transformed into serrated-tooth sabers in an attempt to sever Memphis in half.

Unfortunately, Memphis Dodges with relative ease, bringing frustration and annoyance into the eyes of Exneal.

Then Memphis once again opens his mouth, but just as he is about to repeat his question…

"Boring"

A gruff voice suddenly appears in the air, bringing a look of fear and panic into Memphis's face.

Quickly turning around, Memphis immediately distanced himself from the location of the voice by several miles.

Memphis then looks around in nervousness and confusion, only to not see the expected figure.

Even Exneal, who once again prepared to attack, has his head tilted, eyes darting about, but instead of fear, a look of eager anticipation appears on his face.

Suddenly, a tingling sensation appears on the back of Memphis's neck.

Turning around once again, he sees A tall muscular figure standing before him.

The figure is red in color and dressed in a single piece of tattered orange shorts. His eyes shine with a menacing scarlet hue, protruding from his head is a broken horn.

"D… Demon king Iratus!!!"

Stuttering, Memphis's lazy and casual attitude is now replaced with caution and fear.

"Hmm"

Letting out a grunt in acknowledgment of Memphis's existence, Iratus shifts his gaze towards Exneal.

"D… Demon ki…"

"SHUT UP!!!"

With cruelty evidence in his eyes, Iratus bellows at Memphis who is about to interrupt his rarely operating train of thought.

Raising his hand, he punches down in what appears to be slow motion, but as Memphis tries to dodge, his body remains motionless, unable to move, as if stuck In a quagmire.

Boom

At the point of impact, A shockwave that shakes the still-growing 55th layer appears, the land, the oceans, and the demons' miles around, all crumble into either dust or a mesh of blood.

Only a select few strong demons, out of the billions that entered, remain.

As the destruction calms down Demon King Iratus's massive arm could be seen being held by a ghostly silhouette.

"Don't you find it beneath your status to attack a demon lord?"
