115 Leaving the Forest

The Infernal Flames were ice-cold flames that would freeze anything they came in contact with. Of course, the ones that Lyle had were given to him after he had drunk the blood of the Infernal Bear, and they were not nearly as powerful as the ones that the monster possessed.

Still, they were enough in this situation. Not only did Lyle inflict a serious injury to the mountain lion with his daggers, but he had launched the flames straight into the face and open mouth of the mountain lion.

The flames raged and the lion started struggling, fiercely thrashing about in order to get Lyle off its back. That soon happened as the lion struck a tree with his back, hitting Lyle and making him lie on top of it before taking out the daggers and slipping to the ground.
