a vast deserted land could be seen till a person's vision could reach, on this vast land there stood only a single tree in middle of it all.

only around this tree could one see some grass growing, everything past this single plot of grass seemed to be dead.

under the tree a distinct figure of a boy sleeping could be seen, his expression were as cold as ice, the tree seemed to be holding onto the last of the hope and warmth of the boy's heart. sometimes the boy's body seem to be going through unbearable pain.

one could say this pain was coming from his heart by looking at the expression on his face, if someone was here with the boy they would say he is having the worst nightmares of his life...

it was 5:00 in the morning, a clock was ringing in a small room, if someone saw this room they would undoubtedly think the owner had given up on life.

there were bits of torned pages, books, food packets and several other stuff were scattered around the room.

there was a bed in the corner of the room where a boy was sleeping, the loud ringing of the bell woke the boy up, his age seemed to be around 16-17, his facial features could be said as all average, but he had a bit of muscular body for an 16 year old which could be said as a result of manual labour.

after stopping the clock's ringing the boy got up from the bed and went to wash himself up.

after washing of his sleepy face and changing into some cloths he packed his school uniform in a bag and headed out of the apartment.

(clack) he locked the door and went out.

while he was walking by someone sometimes he would be met with peoples eyes due to the state of his worn out cloths.

he ignored all the sights looking at him and continued along the road with his cold expression, if not for his ragged cloths people would think he's some highschool thug.

after sometime he arrived at a construction site all huffing and puffing.

looking at the huffing boy an middle aged guy called out to him.

"Yo, unis"

the middle aged man walked towards him

"uncle kyle, sorry, i was a bit late again..."

the middle aged man waved his hand as if telling unis not to mind it.

"you are just 5 minutes late you don't have to be sorry for that, you can go to uncle yun for your work"

"yes, ill go there right away"

after saying that unis left to work as assigned to him. the middle aged man looked at unis with pity, it was not allowed for children of his age to work but he was in dire situation when he had asked for job. his expression were cold as ice, but kyle discovered after day after day spending with unis, that behind that cold expression there was a bit of warmth left. only his expression were cold but he was a kind kid who tried his best for there was a reason for him to live. after sometime by asking people around kyle discovered why the boy looked like that, he thought the Childs parents were forcing him to work but the real story was very harsher than this.

at the age of 11 unis was out playing and when he saw many firetrucks going around the playground he went home to ask his parents if something had happened somewhere.

but as nearer he got to his house the louder the sirens could be heard his heart also started thumping at this point.

"everything will be fine, once i get home ill ask mommy to give me some snacks and she will get angry at me again, and papa will come to ask to give some, for this time and mommy would give it to me" (thump)

*everything is fine. yes.* (thump)

he was again and again reassuring himself that nothing had happened to his family.

he turned by the ally ahead and looked at his home.

his house was fine.

unis imagined his house to be all fine.

"boy!! what are you doing here cant you see the fire there!? its dangerous go to your home!"

an old man pulled unis's arm and shouted at him when he saw the boy had his eyes closed and was walking towards the fire.

unis's opened his eyes (thump)

(thump) (thump) (thump)

"ah.."

"boy are you ok? why are you standing there dazed?"

words couldn't come out of unis's mouth...

from then on his life had gotten harsher he lived in a orphanage till age of 16 but was kicked out when orphanage was getting demolished for making super market around that area. at some point he even didnt have roof above his head, when he went to look for a job at some places he was not accepted because of his dead expression which were scary to look at.

that's when he had come to kyle to look for working at this construction site.

out of pity kyle let him work but not knowing to unis he didnt gave unis any hard jobs but some light jobs by looking at his stature.

unis had been working for kyle for many weeks now.

kyle didnt have any family so he just treated unis's as his own son he even paid for unis's school. even when kyle said he didnt have to work here but unis's insisted on working since he was grateful for kyle's help.

unis was against kyle's idea of paying for his school but kyle gave him a reason to study. he said that unis can take care of him when he gets old since he's taking care of unis when he is young.

kyle was like a father to unis at this point, so he wanted to pay back his goodwill as soon as possible.

after working at the site unis would go to school and study as hard as he can for kyle.

he wanted to help kyle in any way possible.

this was unis's everyday routine, he would wake up go to work then go to school come back home. sometimes he would also do minor jobs for little bit of money he could get.

due to him going out to find any work he can he used to come home late and try to clean the room as much he can and again go to sleep.

one day he was trying to again find any minor jobs like cleaning or sweaping playgrounds around when he saw two guys walking towards a girl in the park. after looking at their expression he was sure they were up to no good. he knew going to help her is him asking for his own death so he tried to ignore them and find a police or a person who could help. but there was no one around this time at the park. it was already around 10:30. he wanted to run but he saw the guys getting ever so close to the girl and no one was around.

he was a kind boy, and he always tried to help anyone he could in anyways possible.

so in order to alarm the girl about them he screamed to the top of his lungs so the guys would get scared and run away by thinking about people coming to see what happened.

"AHH THERE ARE THIEVES SOMEONE HELP!!"

hearing this, the 2 guys stopped at their tracks. when people who lived near the park came out of their houses the two guys started sprinting as if they were really thieves. that made unis sure they were up to no good.

the girl who they were targetting had a hoddy on and she was walking towards unis as if to thank him. unis just said embarrassingly that she didn't have to thank him.

"you dont have to thank me about that, you should be careful on your way back home"

he said while smiling. the girl kept walking towards him till she reached in front of him.

she pulled back her hoddy's cap to show her face and she looked at unis.

unis again said.

"you don't have to than- " (puchi)

his voice stopped coming out of his mouth. when he looked at his stomach there was scissors there and a hand holding onto the scissors.

surprised by what had happened just now he looked at the girl while she said.

"thanks...for nothing..."

unis's kindness was paid off in a painful way..

"HaHAHAHaHaHa!!"

she profusely cut his innards with scissors and started laughing as if she found pleasure in it. soon some people around pulled her away from unis and took her scissors.

they all were equally startled by the seen that happened in front of them. they hurriedly made unis rest on grounds but it was too late.

his heart was punctured by the scissors when the girl was moving it around.

unis heard the people around talking to him but he couldn't hear it as his consciousness was driving further and further away.

*so this is how it will end...I had not helped him till now...*

that's when his consciousness faded away.

a drop of water fell on unis's face.

in order to wipe it he moved his hand towards his face when he touched his face he rememberd everything that had happened.

"huf huf..."

unis looked at his stomach as soon as he realized he's awake.

"the wound...was.."

it wasn't there. his stomach was all fine.

he quickly recovered his thought and looked around him, that's when he saw the destroyed cart. when he looked up it seems it fell down from somewhere.

but what confused unis was...

"where am i?"

he was in a forest right now when he looked around he just saw thick forest with huge trees in front and behind was a big mountain side/ cliff.

unis got up and started walking towards the destroyed cart.

(KRAAWWR~)

thats when he heard a loud roar when he looked up he saw a ginormous bird it was too big for a bird, it was the size of an elephant at least.

"What...is that..."
