"Absolute travesty!" he roared, his voice echoing through the room. His ordinarily steady hands clenched into fists, and he paced back and forth like a caged beast. The words on the parchment seemed to taunt him, each sentence stoking the flames of his anger. 

"Captain Bloodbeard in the Mortal Realm? And that treacherous sea serpent under his command?" Ethan's eyes narrowed as he reread the lines as if the paper itself was to blame. "By the abyss, this is an affront to everything we stand for!" 

He stormed toward the window, staring out at the vast expanse to the north. "Deploying reinforcements? Elder Raven?" he scoffed, his frustration escalating. "This is not the time for measured responses. We needed decisive action yesterday!"
