Ethan's Reactions and the Change of Plans

Lord Thrain was in fury upon hearing the ministers and officials' words. He had always been second in command after the late king, and he could never defeat the king in battle. He had plotted for almost a century before he was able to exact his plans. He had waited such a long time but just as the throne was about to be his. 

The young king appeared with a powerful object, one that could kill him if he was not careless and ever since then he has been refraining from any action further until he deems it fit to take control, Afterall he had waited a century for the throne. He said to himself 'What could a few more years of waiting harm do?" 

Yet even though that was what he said he was still furious about the situation and just like now, the young king threatened him to keep his hand in the conflict to come. "We are a kingdom built upon war and bloodshed, why must we cower in the face of them? I refuse!" his anger exploded once more.
