11 Chapter 11 : Dawn Of Hope
The day dawned crisp and clear. The sun poured through the window. Another day had dawned, bringing with it new hopes and aspirations. The light of dawn seeped into the room.
Rai got up and stretched his arms.
"A new day has begun, let's get ready first"
Saying so he left the bed and headed towards the bathroom.
Rai has completely changed from a sickly person to a healthy one. Because he was able to contract beast and the soul was no longer damaged, he started getting more healthier.
He finished bathing and changed his clothes.
"I still haven't fought anyone yet, I guess i should let Riolu fight some beasts. That way he can gain experience in combat, and i would hone my commanding skills" decided Rai to engage in combat.
He went outside and arrived on training ground. He saw Alicia there, She was commanding Axew.
"Axew use False swipe " She commanded.
"Axeww" Axew nodded.
Suddenly it's claws started to glow and it waved it's claws.
It seemed like Alicia was training Axew to master False swipe. Beast has to go through many training sessions to completely master a skill, learning a skill and mastering it totally different.
"That reminds me i didn't check the status of Axew yet" He suddenly remembered that he didn't check Axew's status yet.
"System show me Axew's status" Rai commanded.
Suddenly a blue transparent interference showed up and it showed avatar of Axew.
Rai clicked the avatar of Axew and it showed Axew's status.

[Ability : Rivalry ]
[Qualification : Superior]
[Strength : Initial Elementary]
[Moves : Bite , Leer , Scratch, False swipe]
[Description :They play with each other by knocking their large tusks together. Their tusks break sometimes, but they grow back so quickly that it isn't a concern ]
"Seems better than i expected it to be, every evolution will increase the potential. If it's lucky it can reach to champion level for sure " Putting his hand on his chin he nodded in satisfaction.
He went near to her and observed her training Axew. Alicia knew Rai had arrived but she chose to focus on training before greeting him. After her training ended,
"Hello , Master good morning" She greeted Rai, while bowing down slightly.
"Morning Alicia, seems like you started training very early" Rai said.
"Yeah , I cultivated this habit since young age" nodding she answered Rai.
"Seems like your childhood wasn't easy huh" Rai smiled and spoke.
Alicia froze for a while and complications appeared on her face. Rai saw her tangled face and smiled,
"You don't have to be so worried , your past doesn't matter anymore. What matters is that you are my disciple and student of this Starlight College" Rai spoke gently.
"Yes" she affirmed with a smile.
Suddenly both of them heard some voices outside the gate. Rai got confused as he couldn't expect anyone to come to college this early, besides there are no other students than Alicia. Although he still went towards gate.
"Let's see who are they " Frowned Rai and went.
Alicia tagged along with Rai. They both arrived there , They saw few people having rowdy vibes around them.
"Who are you guys" Rai asked.
"I am Pan , the Gangster" replied a man who looked like a hooligan. He seemed in his twenties.
"And i am here for protection fees" With a smirk towards Rai he spoke.
"Protection fees?" Rai got confused.
"Yes otherwise do you think tender faces like you can be safe here" licking his lips Pan smirked.
Rai got chills down there. Alicia couldn't help but giggle watching Rai like that.
Seeing that even his disciple was laughing at him he felt two arrows going past his heart.
"What if i don't pay" Rai narrowed his eyes and spoke. He decided to test that guy to be his first combat partner.
Smile on Pan's face vanished,
"Seems like you wanna go hard way huh" Pan coldly said.
But Rai wasn't affected about his warning tone. Still holding that mild smile he looked at the hooligan.
Seeing that Rai wasn't a bit intimidated by him , he finally decided to go hard way.
"Let's see how long you have that smile , be summoned my beast" started summoning his beast while having anger in his eyes.
Rai also didn't hold back.
"Show yourself my partner" Rai commanded.
Two summoning circles showed up summoning two different beasts. On Rai's side it was Riolu which was summoned.
"Riolu" Riolu opened his eyes and made a sound declaring his entry to the combat.
On Pan's side it was a Shadow Panther which was summoned.
"Grrr" it growled looking at lucario.
"Are you sure you are going to use this small initial elementary beast against my mid elementary level beast" Looking at the strength of Riolu Pan started laughing.
"I believe it's enough to solve you" Rai had no expression when he said that. The aura around Rai totally changed, it was like a sunny day suddenly started getting icy.
Alicia was also surprised at the power of Riolu, because in her experience even teachers are at intermediate level.
"May be because it's his new pet that he is trying to cultivate" she thought in her heart.
It was fortunate for Rai that she misunderstood otherwise he would surely be embarrassed to answer that.
"Go and bite it" He ordered panther.
"Grrr" Shadow dashed towards Riolu wide opening his mouth.
"Riolu use detect and evade it" Seeing that panther had got close, Rai ordered calmly. Riolu was quite calm about it , although it was it's first battle it didn't affect his Mentality a bit. Being a fighting type Pokemon it is in it's blood to fight. As Panther came closer and tried to bite it , Riolu suddenly jumped backwards rendering Panther helpless. Detect let riolu be aware of it's attack beforehand.
"Use build up" Rai commanded.
Riolu tensed its muscles to bulk up its body, boosting both its Attack and Defense stats by one stage.
Pan saw that riolu was gaining momentum and knew he couldn't be careless anymore.
"Use shadow strike" decided to end it early Pan commanded.
"Grrr" Panther dashed again towards Riolu.
It's claws were shrouded by dark energy, raising it's claw it tried landing the hit on Riolu. But Riolu was already prepared, it jumped high enough to leave panther on ground. Panther looked up and knew it had missed the target again.
"Don't let it go " Pan hastily issued the order.
it leaped into air to attack Riolu, as it was trying to attack again it heard the voice of Rai.
"Riolu use Force palm" Rai's command was on exact time.
"Riolu" Riolu heed the command.
Riolu charged up it's palm with aura and dashed from the mid air to Panther. Both of them clashed, unfortunately for panther riolu had raised it's status which gave double the damage. Riolu hit hard enough on Panther's face to knock it down to earth and create a crater on land.
Riolu was panting hard after landing on ground. The strike had dried up all it's energy.
Panther tried to stand up slowly.
"Go don't fall down yet, shred it into pieces for me" seeing that his beast didn't fall down yet, Pan got excited.
Rai got frowned on his face he knew it would be tough if Panther has still stamina remaining.
Alicia also got nervous as she knows it's critical moment of battle.
Suddenly a reversal happened , Panther got a electric going through it's body which made him growl in pain...
"Grrrrrr" it couldn't continue to stand and fell down.
"What!!!!!" Pan got shock at that moment he couldn't believe that the beast fell. More importantly he can't figure out that why it got shock. His gang behind him couldn't believe that their boss lost, they knew it was time to escape.
Even Alicia had her mouth wide open, It seemed like someone had intervened.
Among all three only Rai released a sigh of relief.
"Phew*, seems like extra effect of force palm worked" yes the electric shock was actually paralysing effect of force palm.
Rai looked towards Pan which scared Pan into witless. He knew Rai won't let him go so he tried running, unfortunately for him again Rai was a step faster than him. Because of Aura he had gained much better enhancement, so it took him seconds to knock down Pan to the ground.
Putting his leg on the chest of Pan, Rai asked,
"On whose order you came here" Rai's words shocked Pan.
