I don't want to throw spoilers but although the MC is an anti-hero who will do anything to achieve his goals he sometimes puts others into consideration but depending on how the story goes he might turn evil after all the tragedy he faces.

Chapter 5: Battle Of A Life Time Part 2.

The first match was a very quick and easy one for the victor and a few minutes after that the second match was called upon and the two participants slowly walked onto the stage.

The participants for this match were two with very huge muscular builds and while the other was wielding a huge hammer the other was wielding a multi-chain whip; multiple chains with sharp ends attached to a handle and very effective against multiple close-range enemies.

" Such variety of weapons I really should have added a perk or two before coming here but then again it's not like I'm looking forward to winning the occasion making it to the quarter-finals should fetch me enough money for two months or three."

" Bet you're wondering what class those two warriors belong to." He heard that same annoying voice from close by once again and it wasn't long before Roy was standing right next to him, "Now let's see, we have a berserker and a... whatever he should be called. What are your thoughts kiddo."

" Well, how about you ask him right after he's done fighting? Honestly, I've never bothered myself with swinging weapons due to their low level of usage." He said, his gaze intently focused on the fight that was soon to begin.

" And don't you think that puts him at a very huge advantage here? Since there's so little knowledge and experience of how his weapon works or how it can be used his opponent will have to have to take the risk of being attacked with it and just from looks alone anyone can guess that that thing can surely deal a devastating blow." He said, slowly turning his gaze towards Harry, " a sword is the most common weapon of all and the fact that it's a normal blade makes it even..."

While he was still talking he heard a loud bang from the middle of the arena and instantly looked down to see that the berserker had slammed his huge hammer on the ground and a huge crater had followed right after it.

The ground instantly split and dust filled the air. The man with the chains was quick to jump backwards before he landed the hammer and as soon as that happened he swung the multi chains straight towards him.

He was left unguarded and lifting the hammer in time to block the attack was out of the question considering the speed at which the chains were moving but what he did next left everyone stunned.

He instantly jumped back while performing a backflip and right after the hammer instantly flew towards him. He was able to easily catch it and right after that threw it at his opponent.

The chain user was able to easily dodge it by jumping to the side but just as he moved the hammer slowly began to spin in a diagonal manner and it wasn't long before it turned vertical and flew straight toward him once again.

He was able to dodge the attack once again and right as the hammer flew past him it continued to go until it reached its owner.

" He's using some magnetic field to attract the hammer towards him it's such a shame that I may not get the chance to go up against him," Roy mumbled as he continued to spectate the match.

With an opening now cleared up for him the man with the chains instantly charged straight toward his opponent and rather than throw the chains at the man he threw them at the ground as hard as he could.

The berserker knew what was about to happen and quickly jumped up as high as he could but he had underestimated the speed of the chains and it would only take the blink of an eye before they reach his feet.

He quickly threw away his hammer to the side and just as the chains seemed like they were about to touch him he flew straight towards it and landed right next to it with his right hand right around the handle.

The man with the chains continued to charge straight towards him and threw the chains at him once again but the berserker had quickly began moving as well.

The chains continued to move forward and right when it seemed like they had stopped and were about to begin retracting he quickly threw his hammer towards him, he wouldn't be able to dodge it on time but in the nick of time rather than pull back his chains, he flung them towards the same direction where the hammer had come from.

They were both left wide open and it would be almost impossible for both of them to dodge the attacks that were headed toward them but the distance between them was to the hammerman's advantage.

The hammer hit the chainman hard on the head and caused it to fling to the side as he went flying while the chains due to them being drawn back at the last minute were only able to graze the berserker's cheek.

" That sure took a while but I'll hurry up and finish this quickly." The berserker said, slowly walking towards his opponent who was lying hopelessly on the ground.

Just as he took another step forward he felt a sudden shock and his head instantly began throbbing with pain, forcing him to go straight to his knees. He began to groan in pain with his hands held tightly against his head.

The man with the chains slowly got up from the ground and began to chuckle evilly.

" You really thought could win against me well too bad the tables turned far too soon." He said glaring at the man with malice, " You do know that there's nothing no death penalty if it's within the arena and during the tournament."

" No please." He pleaded in mumbles as he looked at his opponent he instantly smirked at him before swinging the chains at him once again.

The eight pointed ends of the chains all instantly pierced straight through different parts and blood instantly filled his mouth. His gaze began to blur and a few seconds after that he collapsed on the ground.

The match was instantly declared over and the wounded man was quickly carried out of the arena to receive medical attention.

It was quite obvious to everyone how he had won the match but the whole tournament was a huge dirty game to the point that no penalties resulted in the killing of a fellow participant as long as it was a match within the arena and during the tournament.

The other matches that came after that were not that entertaining compared to the first two and after three more matches, it was finally Harry's turn to fight.

With full confidence he slowly walked out of the arena with his sword sheathed by his back and his opponent was also using the same weapon and seemed to be a little bit older than him.

It wasn't long before they were both standing opposite each other and in an instant the referee declared the beginning of the match and in an instant Harry charged straight towards his opponent.

" Five moves." He thought as he took the first step.

His opponent had an energy crystal inserted into his sword and needed time to supply enough innate energy to charge it to full power but the moment he saw Harry move, he stopped what he was doing and prepared to attack.

The first step had closed the gap between the both of them by a great merging and so did the second one. With his blade held outward to his right with both hands he appeared right in front of his opponent.

His opponent quickly flung his sword at him but in the blink of an eye, he was nowhere to be seen, and just as it occurred to him he quickly turned around to see Harry standing right behind him and his blade was already swung.

" He got me." He mumbled as the sword slashed him upwards and knocked him off balance causing him to fall face down to the ground.

It wasn't long before the sand on the ground was soaked red and he sheathed his sword before walking back inside.

A new record for the fastest defeat had been set for the year's singles tournament and now everyone had their eyes on him.
