Chapter 84 Battle for the Throne

The demi-human king stared deeply at Killian. After a while he didn't say anything and walked back to the throne in solemnly.

"Very well. I accept your challenge. We will have battle for the throne in tomorrow morning."

After the declaration, he sat on the throne and sent back Killian.

"Carnoal. Go prepare the battle arena."

Battle arena is where battle of the throne normally took place. Some high ranking officers and soldiers also use that for mock battles between each other to test their strength.

"Yes my king."

Carnoal has a strange feeling. He was the one who invited Killian. Now that Killian had challenged the king, Carnoal felt he had betrayed the king. Although it doesn't really matter. What important is the benefits of the demi-human kingdom.

Carnoal bowed and left the throne roon. The other two pillars closely followed him.

"Carnoal did you know this will happen?"

Mira asked. She noticed Carnoal had a strange face from the beginning. Carnoal simply nodded.

"So who do you think will win. Do you think this newbie has a chance against our king?"

"I don't know."

Carnoal shook his head and leave, not waiting for the other two. He know that Killian is strong. However he didn't know to what extent.

Since both Killian and the demi-human king are stronger than him, he doesn't know who would win. He only hope that the demi-human kingdom's situation would be better.

The next day in the battle arena, two figures stood against each other. One resembled a white wolf that shining with red lights and the other resembled a huge bear.

The battle arena is filled with many people. High ranking officials and generals all came to watch the battle between the king and the new comer.

"I never expected this day would come again."

The demi-human king said nostalgically. He had slain all of his opponents who challenged his authority in the last. He is extremely confident in his abilities.

The demi-human king gripped his giant halberd. It was way bigger than Rasner's axe and the quality is also better.

However it was not made with special materials. Although the materials that the halberd made of might be quite rare in the dungeon, in the outside world, they are common.

No matter how massive the halberd is, it was not a legendary weapon. Killian won't have scratch even if he was directly hit by that giant halberd.

Killian sighed. He had to act again. If they were alone, he can kill the demi-human king in a second. His chaos beam can penetrate the demi-human king's heart in a second.

However since there are spectators, he has to act as fighting. The demi-human king is one of the powerful person in the dungeon. Kings are the level of existences that can shake the whole kingdom.

The demi-human king said.

The power of a pillar is nothing to be scoffed of. Demi-human kingdom wanted to become more powerful in the recent years. They even paid a heavy price and captured a new resource point.

Thus the demi-human king wants all the power he can get. Killing a strong person in a fight is not ideal for him and it would be a complete waste of manpower. He planned to teach Killian some lessons and make him a pillar later. Killian did not respond as he didn't her it.

"Here I come!"

The demi-human king roared and charged at Killian. He swing the giant halberd that flames engulfing around.

"Boom!"

The giant halberd hit and the flames erupted. The demi-human king raise his brows. He almost hit Killian. But at the last second, Killian suddenly disappeared on the spot. There is no one under his giant halberd. The ground that hit by the halberd turned into lava from the heat.

He turned around and saw Killian was behind him.

"How!"

But before he could do anything, Killian punched him. The demi-human king's huge body was sent flying. His giant body hit the wall and debris fall down.

The spectators were dumbfounded. Carnoal was also shocked.

'Wasn't he say he was a mage? How is the punch of a mage that strong to the point that even their king was blown away?'

Everyone was shocked by the powerful physical strength coming from the small physique of Killian. Although using magic to enhance physical strength is possible, this amount of strength is too much.

"Oops! Was it still too much? I even hold back my strength a lot not to accidentally kill him."

Killian groaned. The opponent is too weak.

The demi-human king roared loudly like a giant bear that even the shock waves came out. The spectators covered their ears in a panic.

Carnoal eyes fixed at the arena. He could never forget this. The trump card of the demi-human king, 'Flaming Bear'. It was an AOE skill that covered the user with sea of flames.

Whoever came near would be burnt to death. It was a skill that almost invincible. Almost. The problem is that the demi-human king cannot activate it for too long. A few minutes is already his limit.

If he uses longer than that he would be burnt to death by his own skill as he suffer part of the burn damage. His body cannot withstand the extreme heat for too long.
