Chapter 76 Demi-Human Kingdom

In the demi-human kingdom,

Killian walked around in the capital of the demi-human kingdom with his disguise. No one had suspected a thing. He was already too strong for these races in the dungeon.

There is no way these races that were confined for generations after generations in the dungeon would be able to detect his disguise. These pitiful creatures did not even realize they were living in a fake world.

Killian had been gathering information about the races in the past few days. The life style of the races in this dungeon is very simple.

Unlike the life style from outside, these races pour almost all of their resources and manpower into the war.

The function of the kingdoms is very straightforward. Every person has to participate in the war.

Strong people with a great battle merits have better living and well respected while the weak was thrown aside and become cannon fodders. The law of jungle here is extreme.

They don't have any development over many years. Thus their life styles and knowledges are very outdated.

Since they focus on war and didn't have time for the developing themselves, their technologies were hundreds of years behind compared to the real world.

Also the resources in the dungeon didn't allow them to innovate new things. There are only fixed resource points in the dungeon that the magic emperor left. The magic emperor manipulated them to control the development of the races.

The races had to fight each other to gain control of them. Each races control around three to four resource points. Some strong races control up to five resource points.

Strangely enough, there is no gold resource point on the whole floor. Since magic emperor is most likely a player, he won't waste gold when he can use them in upgrading or buying items from the system shop. The currency of the kingdom is based on trading resources like metal or ore. There is no fixed currency.

According to the information he gathered in past few days, the human kingdom was in the weakest situation out of all races. They don't possess natural talents like other races and at a disadvantage.

They were forcefully being surpassed and barely holding on. They barely control two resource points.

And races like trolls and ogres are winning. They have the strongest strength and ability among all the races here.

Killian guessed the magic emperor wanted the challenger to help the human kingdom.

They were at the disadvantage situation. However the humans have something that the other races don't have.

They have a great potential and also versatile. That was the main reason the human race is currently ruling race over the other races in the continent.

Unless there was insanely strong races like angels or demons, humans could mostly win against the other races in the long run.

However because of the interference of magic emperor in the dungeon, they were forced to fight the war continuously and didn't have time to develop.

The human race cannot make use of their potential and display their strength due to the lack of time. Thus they are very weak compare to the other races.

"The ideal way might be helping the humans. Is this a test left by magic emperor? Is he testing his decedents to love their own race? I think its possible."

Also there is a fact that the other kingdoms won't accept human helpers because of the racial war. So if they don't have strong disguise like Killian, their only choice would be the human kingdom.

From every perspective, human kingdom is the most logical choice. However Killian was not a human anymore. He already knows he was no longer human the moment he arrived in this world.

The appearances he took are all just outer shells. He no longer has any characteristics of humans. He had abandoned his humanity long ago.

However Killian doesn't bother by it. As long as he achieves his goals, it doesn't matter whatever he was a human or a monster.

Furthermore the races like ogres or trolls won't need external help since they are already at an advantage. Even if he help them win the war, the rewards won't be much. But it is still an option if you can disguise properly.

However to Killian, the rewards for clearing the dungeon is not much to him. Although the rewards are tempting to the others, for him, it was just an extra things.

He can generally predict the rewards. It was likely be the control of the kingdom he chose. But it was not something he really needs. He already had a civilization under his command.

His main purpose is not for the rewards but to meet the magic emperor.

According to the memories left by the queen Elizabetha, when the magic emperor left this legacy to his descendants, he left a note that after they reached the last floor of the dungeon, they will be able to meet him.

Killian was very interested in him. There is a chance that the magic emperor might be a player. But the time he active is hundreds of years ago. It was even way earlier than Sam.

It seems time flow in earth and this world is different. Even Sam and monster player's active time was at least a hundred years before him. But since Sam knows about him in earth, the different of time is quite large.

At that time, Killian heard a commotion. He turned around and saw a group of demi humans soldiers. They seem to be recruiting for war.

This kind of recruiting happened many times. It was very common since they were having constant war. Soldiers die everyday and the kingdom need people for the front line.

There is even a conscription law that force the citizens to take part in the brutal war. There are people that went hiding due to afraid of dying in war.

This is happening not just in demi human kingdom but also in every kingdoms. However the people can only hide as they cannot flee to the other places.

The war is happening all over the land. Even if they went to the other kingdoms, they will only become slaves.

The war of races made every races separate with each other. Thus most people were helpless and can only endure.

However people who contributed greatly in the war were regarded as heroes and given high status.

Killian saw a rather popular demi human from the group. The general of the demi human kingdom, 'Lightning Lord' Carnoal. He was a high ranking general and one of the pillars of the demi-human kingdom. Carnoal has ears and tail that of a snow leopard.

Carnoal wave his hand towards the people. A loud cheer could be heard everytimes he wave his hand. It shows Carnoal's popularity and position in the demi-human kingdom.

His reputation is very high and he even has many fans. There are many people that admire him. Even now a crowd was formed around him and many people are registering to be in his command.

Killian ignored them. However when he's about to walk away, he felt a gaze coming from the group.

'Someone is looking at me.'

Killian quickly walk away from the crowd. He didn't know everything about the kingdom right now. He just arrived recently and only read memories of a few people.

They are just normal citizens and didn't have many information. The information he got was just a general information.

He had yet to read the memories of any high ranking officials. Thus he has no idea of the inner matters of the kingdom.

'Did he discover something? That's impossible. Even the archangels cannot detect my disguise.'

No matter how strong Carnoal is, a general of a backward kingdom strength won't be that strong to notice his disguise. He would be at most the level of someone like Cyrus from the holy kingdom or even weaker. One demon can pose a threat to him.
