Day 10,

The chaos dragon, Veras. It was something Sam fears the most. Dragons are at the top of the food chain even in the game.

They have extremely strong fire power. But the reason the dragons are almost invincible was because of their incredible defense.

Their scales can withstand most of the attacks. It was almost impossible to kill a dragon. They are basically mobile fortresses.

In the game, the only unit that can kill a dragon is another dragon or the special unit.

But the special units are end game units that civilizations cannot make more than one.

Its not that the dragons didn't take damage. The main reason was because it can retreat easily. There are also not many things that can restrain a dragon. If the dragon decided to flee, nothing can stop them.

When Killian subjugate Veras, he can only make it feel pain and surrender. It was far from dead. Also they fought inside the volcano. Veras cannot move around freely with its size.

Veras is not a player. It was just a beast. He was a young dragon that lived in the volcano his entire life.

He doesn't have much intelligence or strategic mind like old dragons. It was far from reaching the level of cunning old dragons.

Killian also attacked Veras's wings first. When Veras wanted to escape, its wings were already damaged.

The main reason that Veras was subjugate was because it was not controlled by a player.

Normally when a dragon sustains damage to an extent, the player will retreat it to a safe place and heal.

Of cause the dragons are not invincible. They are only almost invincible. Although the unit itself is strong there are many counters.

In the game, when the dragon hp is low and retreats, the other player can just directly attack the base.

Also dragons cost a lot of resources. It was very hard even to get one out. You can overrun by the opponents when saving up for the dragon.

In the game most players don't even bother to use dragons. In the late game, players mostly went for an army of late game units like chaos royal guards or holy guardians.

Dragons are rarely used in matches. But now was not in the game but in real life. In front of Sam was that so called dragon. Even though its young it was still a dragon.

"I've been waiting for you."

Sam said and raises his hands. He was preserving his strength for this.

[Ultimate]

"Divine Judgement!"

He didn't delay any longer as he uses the ultimate on Veras.

Enormous light pillar fall down on Veras. A huge explosion blast Veras directly.

"Roar!"

Veras hit by the light pillar and roars loudly. Even the armies that are fighting stopped for a moment and looked at the direction of the explosion.

The impact was so strong that even Sam's crusader army blown away for several distances. The light slowly fade away and reveals an injured dragon.

There were wounds everywhere on Veras's body. The huge wings were tore and blood dripping everywhere from the wounds.

The palace behind Veras was also blown by the shockwave. It reveals a huge dark chrysalis. Beside was a squad of demons guarding.

"Master!"

Lukia and Devlian shouted.

"So this is the demon lord."

The alliance army can feel the terrifying pressure coming from the chrysalis. Luckily it was still asleep.

Sam got on his knees. He just used the ultimate skill. He was extremely weak now. Ultimates are something that cannot use easily.

Even in his peak condition, he won't be able to use multiple times and currently he was in his weakened state.

The crusaders that were blown by the shockwave stood up. They didn't suffer any casualties. They were only blown away.

"Attack destroy the chrysalis."

Sam ordered his crusader army to attack. He cannot do anything now. He was helpless.

"If only I still have my weapon."

Sam said in regret. He has a powerful weapon called Spear of the Great Sun. It can unleash terrifying attacks.

He paid a lot of gold to buy that from the system's item shop. But his weapon was already destroyed along with the player of monster civilization.

The Spear of the Great Sun has a passive that can self destruct and unleash the attack power that is similar to the ultimate attack.

Sam didn't have his ultimate when he fought with the monster civilization. He only gain it after he killed the player. Thus the only way to successfully kill his opponent was to destroy his own weapon.

When he fought with the player of monster civilization, Sam used his weapon self destruction to unleash the powerful attack.

After directly getting hit by the power of the ultimate level attack, the player of the monster civilization was killed.

Sam had won but he also paid the huge price. He lost his weapon. He was heavily injured and forced to go into a deep sleep to replenish his powers.

Now he can only order his troops. Crusaders charge and clash with the demons.

Veras wanted to run. He doesn't here because he wanted to. He was subjugated by Killian and force to work for him. He doesn't have any loyalty towards Killian.

He would never sacrifices himself to protect Killian. But when he about to run, he felt extreme pain coming from his body.

Veras searched the root of the pain. It was not from his wounds. It was from the chaos essences he absorbed.

A small amount is not a problem. But he had absorbed the chaos essences for years and completely turned into chaos dragon.

The amount of chaos essences in his body is too much. His whole body was filled with chaos essences and Killian has direct control over them.

"You damn dragon. You think you can betray your master? Do you think master would not suspected this?"

Evilyn laughs.

"What have you done to me?"

Veras roared painfully and asked.

"You life is in master's hand the moment you accept the chaos essences. Your life is not yours anymore. Even if you die, die while protecting master."

Killian already expected Veras would betray him. Thus he gave the control of life to Evilyn and Dustain before he went into the chrysalis.

He knew these two royal guards will never betray him. He even gave the control over life of Lukia and Devlian to his chaos royal guards.

Killian had made sure everything was under control and made many preparations before he absorb the holy grail.

Veras can only helplessly endure the pain and dragged his injured body into battle.
