Chapter 56 Holy War (3)

Dustian covered himself with dark flames to protect himself. But the light pillar easily penetrate and flatten him along with the wall.

A huge hole was left behind at Dustian's location. About half of the wall was also devastated by the blast.

The chaos royal guard, Dustian had died in one shot. There is not even a trace of him left. The undeads around several miles were also turned to dust.

The whole alliance army shocked. The impact was too much. It killed not only Dustian but also tons of undeads around him.

Even the wall they cannot destroy with catapults was instantly obliterated. They look at Sam with fear and reverence.

"As expected of holy lord."

"With holy lord around we don't have to worry about these devils."

The alliance army cheers.

But Sam's expression doesn't look good. He was on his weaken state. He just used a massive amount of holy powers.

But the sight made him turned unpleasant. Another wall. He ordered the alliance army to keep attacking.

Day 4,

The alliance army passed through the first wall and moved to the second wall. On the second wall was Evilyn. There were not only undead archers but also inferno towers.

"Dustian had fulfilled his purpose. Now its my turn."

Evilyn said indifferently. They don't care about their own life and death. As royal guards, it was their duty to protect their ruler.

The sole purpose of their existence is to serve their ruler without question.

Even if their ruler send them to death, they will obey. Absolute loyalty to their ruler and the civilization.

For the rise of their civilization they will do everything even if it leads to their death.

Evilyn smiled and looked at the alliance army. The alliance army moved towards the second wall like before.

"I don't care about strategy. I will crush you with overwhelming strength."

Evilyn laughted and ordered to open the second gate.

A huge gate slowly opened and a large number of undeads pour from the gate. Gigantic flesh golems also came out.

The alliance army shocked. They thought they have to fight siege warfare again. They never thought the enemy would attack them directly.

"Don't panic. Most of them are just low level undeads."

A commander shouted. The number of undeads are way too large but there are only a few thousand armored undeads and flesh golems.

"You think this is all?"

Evilyn laughs and rises his flaming sword. A squadron of demons appear behind him. It was about half of Killian's demons.

"Now let the war begins."

Evilyn and the demons flew towards the alliance army and rampage through the enemy lines. There is not many people that can fight Evilyn and demons head on.

Even the commanders are having a hard time against them. Sam cannot do anything either. He has to preserve his powers as much as he can.

If he uses divine judgement again, there will be nothing left to deal with chaos dragon and they can only wait for their death when Killian awake.

Sam was basically crippled. He cannot do anything. He can only watch and wait for the alliance army to break through.

Day 5,

The war was still going. There are losses on both side.

Day 6,

Most of the undeads died and the alliance army started to have an upper hand. They are just low tier undeads.

In long run they won't win against the stronger foes. Evilyn and demons are strong but their numbers are very few.

Realizing this Evilyn ordered the demons to fall back to the wall. They will fight siege warfare on the wall with the help of the inferno towers.

Day 7,

The alliance and the chaos fight siege war like the first wall. However the alliance army have a harder time because of inferno towers.

The inferno towers launch huge fire balls, devastating the alliance army.

Day 8,

The alliance army broke through the second wall. After all the second wall durability is lower than the first wall.

It was built in a hurry. When the alliance army attack the first wall, the second and third walls are just finishing up.

After getting hit by multiple fire balls from catapults, the wall crumble. Evilyn was forced to retreat.

The alliance army didn't manage to kill Evilyn. They don't have strong power like Sam's ultimate to finish Evilyn off.

They only took down a few demons out of pure luck. Majority of the demons managed to escape with Evilyn.
