In the Artisan studio john was ready to leave and go home as the casting for all the members of the film crew was done and they would be leaving bey the end of the month but was interrupted when Janice knocked on his door and entered she spoke 'sir there is someone who wants to meet you,' john looked and asked 'who wants to see me?' She replied 'it's a director Justin Lin,' john hearing this answered 'let him in,' Janice left and few seconds later Justin enter went to john to greet him john responded 'sit Justin what is it I can do for you?' To which he responded 'sir I came here because I know your planning to start the production of the car series and hope to be the director,' john look at the man even though he failed in the Tokyo drift but after that he was able to make a comeback and rose with directing the car franchise alswell as Star Trek and this allowed him to consider him and he said 'well here is the thing I want to know why you should do it especially on your previous film?' hearing this Justin flinched as he Rene other previous film and said 'I to didn't like the film but I wasn't allowed to change the story at all and they had me in a contract so I couldn't get out of it but after reading reading the script I see that with this film it's like a reboot and at the same time a continuation of the story and I fell I can bring this story to life and I have strong contact with the past actors, so what do you think?' john sat there and didn't respond immediately then said 'okay I'll make you the director of this film and the budget I'll give is 60 million for the film and when can you start the filming?' Justin looked happy as he found himself as the director and said 'we can start in December as the everything is ready and it'll 5 months in total with filming and post production we can release the film in 2011 by September,' john nodded and said 'good I'll have my team give you the contract and you can start as soon as possible,' and with that john got his director for the car franchise.
